Manufacturing is the production of goods for use or sale using labor and machines, tools, chemical and biological processing, or formulation. George Braswell’s shop manufactures parts on both vertical and horizontal CNC machines. The shop also uses EDMs, manual machines and does some specified plating.
Deburring is the process of smoothing the rough edges or ridges on a machined part.
At George Braswell's Command Tech deburring is done on aluminum, steel, plastics and other materials. There is a certain finesse that a good deburrer acquires.

5. Numerical controlled machines started out in
the 1940’s and 1950’s. They were operated by
programmed commands encoded on what they
called punched tape with servomechanisms.
6. Numerical controlled machines were faster and
more accurate then using manual machines.
With a manual machine an operator had to
either turn handles, flip levers or use
handwheels.
7. It did not take long for these early
servomechanisms to be augmented with analog
and digital computers, creating what we know
now as the computer numerical control machine
(CNC) which has skyrocketed the machining
processes since the early 1970’s.
8. The whole idea behind manufacturing products
is to machine a good quality part, as fast as
possible, at a price that makes your customer
happy and you some money.

tolerances from .001 to .00005 mils of an inch
and better depending on how much money you
want to spend for a particular machine.
