FINANCE MANAGER,
We are seeking a talented Finance Manager to ensure local accounting
systems and procedures are set up in accordance with locally accepted
accounting principles, as well as internal policies and procedures. This is a full-
time position and is available immediately.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU'LL NEED:
 Bachelor’s degree, Masters or CPA equivalent is a plus.
 Minimum of 5-7 years in financial management
 Experience collaborating virtually (i.e. Zoom, conference calls, Google Docs)
 Prior experience with international not-for-profit organizations preferred
 Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish, in addition French and
Italian is a plus.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required with high degree
of customer service orientation
 Strong knowledge of small business accounting software (Sage Intacct or
similar)
 Proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel and Power Point applications
 Knowledge of various funder requirements including rules and regulations
of European Social Fund, private foundations, and other funders
 Positive, solutions-oriented attitude, drive for excellence and ability to work
effectively across borders and cultures
 Ability to work remotely with other offices in the region.
 Willing to travel regionally up to 25% as required

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As a Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Global Finance Director to
oversee Generation’s finances. You will be responsible for maintaining and
improving internal controls and quality assurance, developing and performing
financial risk assessment and mitigation strategies, and manage all aspects of
accounting and coordination with outsourced accounting firms and other
external service providers. The Finance Manager will based in Madrid. This role
may require no more than 25% domestic or international travel.
Specific responsibilities may include:
 Manage the accounts payable function to ensure timely payment processing
 Maintain accounts receivable tracking and ensure timely billing and
reconciliation
 Oversee payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payroll and
benefits payments
 Ensure accurate and compliant recordkeeping in accounting system, as well
as bank, cash and credit card reconciliations, as applicable
 File, maintain, and distribute accounting documents, records and reports.
 Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing
 Oversee annual statutory audit and fiscal reporting
 Monitor and prepare internal budget tracking and cash flow analysis, as well
as assist CEO/COO in budgeting and planning
 Ensure accurate cost allocation and grant tracking system
 Prepare financial reports required by funders and ensure internal review,
approval, and timely submission
 Assist with proposal budget review and quality check. Liaise with Generation
Global finance team to ensure timely budgeting and reporting
 Assist Global Finance in annual audit process and other financial
management aspects
 Provide ongoing assistance to new and established Generation locations in
Europe in all aspect of accounting and financial management;
 In consultation with Global Director of Finance, assist with the preparation
of annual Global budget regionally;
 Provide training and orientation on financial systems and accounting
processes regionally;
 Coordinate payroll of Global employees housed in the region.
 Assist CEO/COOs with selection and ongoing relationship with outsourced
accounting services and other fiscal service providers in each location.
 Other duties as assigned
