GemTalk Systems Acquires GemStone/S Products From VMware
Company to advance the development of enterprise object infrastructure technologies to
support Smalltalk applications
BEAVERTON OR, May 2, 2013 — GemTalk Systems today announced it has acquired the VMware
GemStone/S platform for developing, deploying and managing mission-critical Smalltalk-based
applications. “VMware believes that GemTalk is a great fit for both GemStone/S customers and the
Smalltalk community,” said Charles Fan, senior vice president of R&D, Storage and Application
Services, VMware. “We are confident that GemStone/S customers will be in good hands with seamless
product support and continued technology enhancements.”
