Geiger has already achieved significant reductions in energy consumption by: modifying boilers and installing high-efficiency lights and HVAC systems. These changes will result in reducing electricity usage by 580,000 kilowatt hours annually, with an estimated savings of $87,000 each year while also keeping 377 tons of greenhouse gases out of the air. This is the equivalent of taking 74 cars off the road. It is our goal, at Geiger, to be green in all aspects of manufacturing, from soy-based inks to waste reduction. Every year, approximately 230 tons of high grade paper is recycled in our offices and factory. We have plans to expand recycling beyond paper. Geiger is active in promoting and providing education throughout the company and the industry.
