On August 22nd, 1932, the BBC broadcast its first experimental television program. The program was broadcast from the BBC's headquarters at Broadcasting House in London. It used a system developed by John Logie Baird and his chief engineer, Douglas Birkinshaw, to broadcast a short program with moving images. This first public television broadcast marked the beginning of regular television programming by the BBC.
