  • #3 Shows the pictures on the board. Ask Ss to write down the related vocabulary (learnt in the previous lesson) as fast as they can. The first S who finishes writing say Bingo. Check the answers with the whole class.
  • #6 - Have Ss look at the pictures and describe the action that the person/people is/are doing with the Present Continuous structures. - Write the sentences on the board. Inform Ss that they are going to learn The present continuous to talk about something happening now
  • #13 - Focus Ss’ attention on how to form questions and negative sentences in the present continuous tense.

  • #19 Ask Ss to work in 2 teams. One student of each team will take turns to stand on the board. T will whisper a verb which the student will have to mime. One student of each team will mime an activity to the rest of the class without saying the words – only gestures. If other students can guess correctly what the action is and use the present continuous form correctly (he/she is + V-ing) they get a point. The group can gain the most points in two minutes wins the game.
