Group discussions assess students' personalities through an exchange of ideas on a given topic among a small group of candidates. They allow students to demonstrate communication skills, leadership skills, analytical skills, and knowledge of the discussion topic. Effective participation requires preparation, active listening, clear communication, and involving others while maintaining a respectful tone. The key things evaluated are how students interact, present their views, solve problems, and use their subject knowledge.
