Islamic traditions do not locate the Garden of Eden on Earth, believing it existed in Heaven. Muslim scholars think Adam and Eve were sent down to Earth along with Satan. Biblical scholars believe the Garden of Eden was east of Canaan, but different proposed locations for it have not been conclusively proven, including sites in Iraq, the Persian Gulf, northern Arabia, Turkey, and some recent suggestions in the United States. Yemen and southern Arabia are also proposed sites for the Garden based on Islamic traditions.
