What we did
Conducted a Pilot Study on 33
schools covering 33 districts of
Rajasthan
Dividing the prescribed syllabus on
the basis of term wise division and
consolidating the subject books into
one book per trimester.
Introduced integrated books for class
1 & class 2 comprising of topics from
Hindi, English and Mathematics
trimester wise.

3 comprising of topics from Hindi,

Environmental Studies.
Objective
As per the Yashpal Committee
Guidelines the weight of the bag of
students should be reduced in order
to promote healthy learning
environment thus the objective was
to implement the Yashpal Committee
Guidelines.
To relieve the child from the physical
and mental burden of carrying heavy
bags to school and promote holistic
development of the child taking care
of physical and mental needs of the
child
