1) God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, when the time was right in order to redeem humanity from being under the law, so that through faith people could be adopted as sons of God. 2) God sent the Holy Spirit into the hearts of believers, crying "Abba, Father," confirming their adoption as sons and making them heirs along with Jesus Christ. 3) Through faith in Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, God the Father has provided the gift of sonship, making believers no longer slaves but sons and daughters with all the rights and privileges of God's family.
