TIME EFFECTIVELY?
• Plan ahead

PLANNING AHEAD
• Write down important dates!
• Know when to start working
• Start small: plan day by day, then week by week
• Don’t procrastinate!
SETTING GOALS
• Set achievable goals
• Give yourself small goals to accomplish throughout the day
• Don’t stress over having major goals
• Keep reminding yourself of your goals
PRIORITIZE
• What is most important?
• What is due first?
• What will take the longest?
• What else do you have to do?
MAKING A TO-DO LIST
• Prioritize
• Write it on paper
• Cross things off!
• Write your daily goals
USING A CALENDAR
• Have a master calendar
• Write important dates!
• Keep it somewhere you can always see it
• Write EVERYTHING down
• Use an agenda to plan your days and weeks
STUDYING, SOCIALIZING, AND
SLEEPING: DOING IT ALL
• Make time for everything!
• Identify your harder classes- what will require the most
studying/outside of class work?
• Be realistic- how much time do you need to get everything
done?
• Make time for friends and family
• Give yourself nights off
• Plan to get 8+ hours of sleep every night
• No one can run on empty!
