While 36.8% currently use object storage for this data, 63.7% have users accessing unsanctioned cloud storage. The number of files in data centers is expected to increase by at least 75x over the next decade. 36.8% have over 31% of storage underutilized across arrays due to overprovisioning and dedicated applications. Most are virtualizing storage, compute, and networking, but lack visibility into capacity usage and provisioning times of over 6 days for a third of respondents.
