5. Situation in the Philippines
According to a UNICEF & WHO study:
Only 10% of domestic wastewater in the Philippines is properly treated
Only 5% of the total population is connected to a sewer network
Domestic wastewater is discharged without proper treatment

10. FujiClean Jokaso
A Jokaso is an on-site wastewater treatment system specifically designed
for small & tight areas. In comparison to a large-scale on-site
construction wastewater treatment system, the jokaso will have less
shipping, installation and maintenance costs.
What is a Jokaso?
Who is FujiClean?
FujiClean was founded in Japan in 1961 but now their Jokasos can be seen in
Philippines, Australia, United States and other parts of the world. In
2020, FujiClean was selected by the Japanese government as one for the
Global Niche Top 100 Companies. Then in 2022, FujiClean was added to the
United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) website as a
wastewater treatment infrastructure that is quick and cost-effective.
11. FujiClean Jokaso
The FujiClean Jokaso system consists of FRP tanks and a unique air
blower/pump system. Their wastewater treatment itself is based on the
biofilm process to remove organics and nitrogen effectively.
It uses a Biological Anaerobic and Aerobic Treatment which uses a
combination various microorganisms to breakdown wastewater contaminants
This system can be used for individual homes, community wide, commercial
facilities or industrial factories.

23. Comparison of Traditional SBR
and New SBR
• Unable to treat Nitrogen, Phosphorous (Needs the use Chemicals)
• Expensive Operating Expenses
• Compact
• Flexible
Traditional SBR
New SBR
• Patented in 2017
• Capable of Treating Nitrogen, Phos and others (Biologically)
• Cheap Operating Expenses due to our own SCADA
• Has all the benefits of a Traditional SBR
• Capable of Upgrading from a Traditional SBR
• Fertilizer
24. Fully Organic Fertilizer
• Market shift toward sustainable and organic products
• Waste to Sales due to Philippines being an agricultural
country
• Circular waste management
• Social Impact
• Environmental Impact
• Economic Impact
25. Summary
