Advising is an integral part of a student’s academic success.  The university has developed an advising structure that assists students with a smooth transition as they progress from their first year to the second year and beyond to their graduating semester.  Freshmen will be assigned a first year advisor for their freshman year.
At the completion of the second semester, freshmen students will be transitioned to their college advising offices through a university sponsored event called “College Connections: Advisors on Location.”
Sophomore and second year freshmen students who have not yet chosen a specific major (Undeclared) receive assistance from the Sophomore & Second Year Center in course scheduling and major exploration.  College of Business Academic Advising
What does “Restricted Access” mean?You have been admitted to the University of Central Florida, NOT to the College of Business.  	The College of Business is a “Restricted Access” college.  To officially be admitted to the College of Business, students MUST complete all of the General Education Program Requirements, all Business Common Program Prerequisites, Gordon Rule Requirement, CLAST, and have an overall minimum 2.0 GPA or higher.
