3. Obesity is already a huge problem in Denmark
• 1.3 million adult Danes are overweight, and 400,000 of these are obese
• Especially young men aged 16-24 are at risk of becoming obese
• Overweight amongst children have tripled within the latest 25 years
• The yearly cost of overweight in Denmark is high
• At least 2.3 billion in net cost in medication and hospital treatment
• 55,000 admissions to hospitals
