The Building Committee Chair, Architect, and Builder will discuss the process of designing and constructing a Net Zero Energy, Passive House K-8 School in Portland Maine - The Friends School of Portland. We will discuss how a true integrated design process facilitated an lofty energy goal within a tight budget and a design suited to the school's values including: Simplicity, Integrity and Stewardship. We'll share specifics regarding balancing cost, performance optimization, systems reduction, energy use and a tight timeline.
