What is the Frequency Response
analysis of motor and generator?
Frequency response analysis is the technique whereby a
sinusoidal test signal is used to measure points on the
frequency response of a transfer function or impedance
function.
How can we use the output frequency signal
of the motors and generators?

How effective are them?

In this study, more focus will be on experimental study and simulation. An experimental stand with power equipment and
measurement can be assembled in the laboratory.
For simulation, it should be created math and computer model of the study in a software (like Matlab, comsol, python). The
best option is combination of these methods. Because in simulation we can not properly measure errors in lab stand our
opportunities are limited.
What are your strategies to secure the
research outputs ?
• Protect data
While doing research, simple data protection rules should be followed.
Such as do not share research data for external individuals and always
create backups.
• Publication
If you have done the research you can issue publication and it can
justify that this is your research
• Intellectual property
For commercialization you should apply for IP patent or copyright.
Patent for equipment and copyright for soft
Ethical issues
• Potential for harm
Technology is a bit dangerous. During experiment, it may damage both
people or equipment. So, we should always remember safety rules.
Secondly, we are going to assemble experimental stand so we are
responsible for safe maintenance. Responsibility is a key feature of
Ethics
• Conflict of interests
The most common conflict of interest in research is financial aspect,
such as sources of funds/grants for the research conducted. So in order
to avoid, some contracts must be made between stakeholders.
What have I learned from this course for my
research?
• From this course I have leant
• 1) What is the research process, research methodology, research
methods, and research ethics
• 2)How to Effectively plan and manage research projects
• 3) How to Effectively apply the research methodology methods to
formulate engineering research problems
• 4) How to Critically analyze and evaluate research findings
• 6) How to Develop the skills to maintain good working relations in a
research society
