Beowulf
1) Beowulf, a great Geatish hero, hears that King Hrothgar of the Danes is troubled by the monster Grendel attacking his mead-hall at night.
2) Beowulf sails to Denmark with 14 warriors to help the king. He promises to defeat Grendel with his bare hands.
3) That night, as the men sleep in the mead-hall, Grendel comes and kills 30 men. But he engages in a fight with Beowulf and is defeated when Beowulf tears his arm off. Grendel escapes to die in the marshes.

Sirenetta was a young mermaid who fell in love with a human prince after saving him from drowning. She made a deal with a witch to gain human legs in exchange for her voice, so that she could be with the prince. However, if the prince married another, she would dissolve into sea foam. Meanwhile, King Cecil survives an assassination attempt and hires the would-be assassin, Nicola Michaletto, after she identifies the slow-acting poison used. Nicola advises Cecil to only eat food prepared by his own hands from now on for safety.

Nicola works to gather more proof to present to King Cecil before Duessa can solidify her plans against him.

1) A fisherman catches a magical fish that grants him wealth but turns him into marble when he enters the forbidden No Return Castle.
2) His twin sons go on adventures; one frees the king's daughter from a snake and marries her, but enters the castle and is turned to marble.
3) The other son rescues his twin brother and the magical items with an unguent, breaking the castle's curse. They return home with the first son's new wife.
