Effective July 1, 2008, a total of 16 continuing education hours are required to renew your license. You must have 8
hours in mandatory topics which includes 2 hrs in fair housing and the remaining 6 hrs must be a minimum of 1 hr in
each of the following categories: legal updates, real estate agency, real estate contracts & ethics & standards of
conduct. The remaining hours may be real estate related or in the specific categories. If you received a new
salespersons license after 12/31/08, and this is your first renewal, you will need to complete 30 hours of post license
education instead of continuing education those hours must be completed in your first 12 months.
