4 REX’S MESSAGE
Forever | October 2016
FINDING YOUR
STRENGTH
There is a story about a young boy and his
father who were hiking through a forest.
They came upon a large log that was
blocking their path. Excited and eager to
show off for his father, the boy ran up to
the log and examined the obstacle.
The boy turned to his father and asked,
“Do you think I can lift this log, Dad?” The
father responded that if he used all of his
strength, he absolutely would be able
to lift the log. Thrilled at the challenge,
the boy took a deep breath, rolled up his
sleeves and bent down to pick up the log.
He tried with all of his power, over and
over until he couldn’t manage to try
any longer.
Desperate and saddened by his failure,
he looked at his father and said, “You told
me I could lift it!” His dad just smiled and
said, “I told you could lift it if you used all
of your strength, but you didn’t ask me
for help.”
In the end there is never a time where we
really are alone in this world. When we
feel inadequate or unable to move the
obstacles in our path, there is only one
way to find a solution: ask for help.
The boy and his father moved the log
together and continued on their journey.
Just like the boy, you have the support
of some very powerful people in your
life – your upline and downline. Together
you make a strong network of people
who are chasing your dreams and willing
to do what it takes to find happiness and
success for themselves and for others.
Whatever life throws at you, you are
always strong enough to get through it.
You just have to remember to use all of
your strength, within you and around you.
Forever Yours,
Rex Maughan
Chairman and CEO
Do you ever get the feeling that you are inadequate or lost? This world has a funny
way of doing that to us. With billions of people in the world, we still have times
when we feel alone or incapable of completing something on our own; but we
should not.
PERSISTENCE
PAYS OFF
Whilst in recovery I began to slowly
build my business, develop relationships
and learn more about the opportunity,
but I was still in no position to drive or
do anything active. I found myself in a
serious rut: I had been made redundant
from my job as a teacher, I was unable
to do any serious manual work, and I
was slowly drifting into depression. I
had to do something so in October I set
myself the challenge to get back to peak
fitness within five months – I wanted
to be ready in time for the Great British
European Duathlon Championships in
Kalkar, Germany. I threw myself into a
rigorous regime of training and daily
supplementation. I started with the
C9 and then built on my fitness and
weight loss by integrating products
such as Forever Aloe Vera Gel, Argi+,
Forever Lite Ultra and Forever Therm
into my exercise schedule. As each
month passed my fitness, strength and
speed improved, my resting heart rate
dropped, and my threshold capabilities
developed. By the time the Team GB
European Championships were in sight,
I had increased my power averages
on my bike by 30% and my average
run paces were at a point I had never
reached before – even pre-injury! I went
into the competition with less than six
months’ training and I managed to come
out with a bronze medal. When I arrived
back in the UK I decided to give the
National Standard Distance Duathlon
Championship a go. I didn’t have long to
train but I had Argi+, Forever Freedom
and Forever Lite Ultra on my side and I
managed to leave with a silver medal!
I have been a multisport athlete for a number of years but in 2015 I
suffered a serious injury that set me back by nearly eight months.
During this time I had an operation that forced me into a sedentary
lifestyle. I lost all fitness, put on over two stone in weight, and I was
seriously unhealthy when Forever found me in June 2015...
"Forever is now an intrinsic part of my life."
5RECOGNITION
This business has also benefitted me
as a sport and triathlon coach; it’s been
helpful having a base of products that
uphold the same values – ethical, natural,
healthy – and Forever is now an intrinsic
part of my life. My athletes, clients and
community have seen first-hand the
transformation in my own health and
fitness, and many of them have had
similar (and often better) results. Being
able to discuss my experience of the C9
and F.I.T. programme has been essential
in forming relationships and supporting
clients on their own journeys, but this
is all just the beginning! In July next
year I plan to work with Global F.I.T.
Ambassador Mike Butterworth and
undertake seven ironman triathlons
in seven days, and I'll be utilising a
whole range of Forever products to
ensure success.

STAY FOCUSED
ON YOUR DREAM
Congratulations to all of you who qualified
to go; we had our biggest group ever,
close to 500 of us from the UK and Ireland.
Twenty years ago I would have never
dreamt that we would be chartering our
own planes to get to an event, but we did.
Two shiny commercial jets waited for us
at Luton airport to fly us directly there. You
can imagine the atmosphere on board and
the fun we had. Congratulations also to
everyone in the group that took part in the
amazing training that we experienced;
I am really proud of all of you. Special
thanks to our GLT, many of whom hosted
all three groups.
These trips can be truly life-changing,
so I encourage all of you reading this
piece to really work hard on setting your
goals. If you do that and work hard day
by day, you could be with us next year at
the Eagle Managers’ Retreat, sailing the
Mediterranean on a beautiful cruise liner.
Setting goals and visualising the
outcomes we want changes the way
we act; it energises us.
As we are now in our most productive time
of the year, go the extra mile to find more
customers for your products simply by
being a great advocate for, and enthusiastic
about them. At the same time, recognise
that there are tens of thousands of people
out there who would love to change their
lives by being able to become a Forever
Business Owner.
I am proud to be part of something special
that is helping people achieve their dreams,
and I am especially proud of all of our
qualifiers and achievers.

6 BOB’S MESSAGE
“Our eyes only see and
our ears only hearwhat
our brain is looking for.”
– Dan Sullivan
“Your future is as bright
as your faith.”
– Thomas S Monsoon
I like both of these quotes because they
have both been around for a very long time.
You see, for hundreds of years, inspirational
figures have been sharing the ‘secrets’
of being a high achiever. The consistent
viewpoint of all these learned people is that
having the right thought patterns greatly
increases our chances of achieving our
goals and dreams. Getting excited about
a vision of what we would like to achieve,
or who we would like to become, and then
staying focused on that dream is critical.
I have found that it is amazing what can be
achieved when you become a person who
is in control of their future. It’s worth the pain
of growing, of handling the obstacles that
we all face as we develop our futures – just
ask the guys and girls who were in Greece!!

7RECOGNITION
Forever | October 2016
TAKE BACK
CONTROL
I became a single parent when my
daughter was three and I really struggled
with shift work. The long hours and
overwhelming feeling of guilt was too
much and I realised I needed something
else. In 2013 my friend introduced me to
Forever and although I didn’t have a clue
what she was talking about, I trusted her.
I had a good feeling about Forever and
I liked the idea of earning an extra few
hundred pounds so that I could reduce
my police hours.
When I achieved Supervisor I was able
to reduce my hours, but then I was told
I couldn’t have time off over Christmas,
including Christmas day. That’s when I
decided to take back control and I made
plans to take a five-year career break
starting in August 2015. After making this
decision, people would comment how
it was a good idea just taking a break
in case Forever didn’t work out, but the
thought of going back really scared me.
It still felt like the police controlled me
and I was already dreading going back.
It took me a few months to adjust
– I had spent eleven years as a police
officer – but I really struggled to find a
daily routine, let alone work a business
from home. Over the months my
business fell away, but I never lost sight
of what I wanted from Forever, it was just
taking me a lot longer than expected. In
May 2016 I decided enough was enough;
I resigned from the police and suddenly a
weight was lifted.
At twenty-four years old I was fresh out of police training and fully
expecting to work as a police officer for the rest of my working life. I
thoroughly enjoyed my job and was willing to work the long shifts, but
after the birth of my daughter my priorities changed…
I am now rebuilding my business whilst
working part-time in an office, which I
really enjoy. I feel in complete control of
my life and I am doing things that I was
never able to commit to before. I play
and coach football, I’ve achieved my FA
Level 1 Coaching Award, I’ve become
a school governor for my daughter’s
school, I’ve taken up running and I also
completed the Paris marathon in April
2016 – this was a huge achievement
for me.
Forever opened up my eyes to what is
possible, it made me see that there are
other options. I now have time; time to
spend with my daughter, time to take
her to school and pick her up again,
and that is absolutely invaluable.
My advice to anyone who is feeling like
their business isn’t progressing is to take
some time and invest in yourself, but
most importantly you should never give
up on your dream, despite how rocky the
journey is.

8 FLP.SOCIAL
FLP.Social is a social media management platform for
Forever Business Owners. It has loads of useful features
and each one has been specifically designed to help you
grow your Forever business. If you use social media, or
you want to increase your social media presence, don’t
do anything without looking into FLP.Social first. This
platform allows you to manage your Twitter, Facebook,
LinkedIn and Pinterest accounts from a central location,
and it also offers full training on each platform so that
you can use them with confidence.
“Network marketing is not
all about social media, it’s
about building a network –
it’s a people business. We
are not trying to replace
this concept. Instead, social
media can and is a tool
that can help you to recruit
people and sell products. It
is a tool to help you develop
relationships.”

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Templated posts
Your business and time is far too
important to be spent staring at a blank
screen trying to think up something
to post! FLP.Social has done the hard
work for you and offers all subscribers
access to a huge library of high quality,
compliant social media content. These
posts have already been designed to
look professional and to link in with
other Forever literature and campaigns,
and there are already one-and-a-half
million pre-approved posts for you to
choose from, but the bank is constantly
expanding! Each time you post you can
select the platforms you want your post
to appear on, and, if you use Facebook,
you can even arrange for your post
to appear on multiple pages or select
groups. If preferred you can digress from
the pre-designed template and make the
post your own. FLP.Social gives you the
option to edit posts, add body text, links,
and also any hashtags that you think
would work well.
Visual composer
If you are feeling creative and you
have the time to spare, you can create
your own professional-looking post
from scratch using FLP.Social’s visual
composer. The site provides you
with access to a large bank of high
quality images, including product- and
lifestyle-related shots, the search
function allows relevant images to be
found easily and conveniently, and you
can also upload your own images if you
have something of quality that is relevant.
You can add your own text to the artwork
and the tool is so simple and easy to use,
in reality it only takes a few minutes to
create something inspiring and effective!
Remember: Twitter has a character
restriction but it will still post what you
write even if it’s too long. Don’t be caught
out by posting something that trails off as
this will look unprofessional. Keep an eye
on FLP.Social’s character counter as you
write your posts.
Compliance checker
The templated posts are perfect for new
FBOs who are yet to get their heads
around the compliance rules, but the
great thing is that even posts created
from scratch will have to filter through
FLP.Social’s built-in compliance checker
first. Every post will be scanned before it
is released to the public and if something
is seen to be uncompliant the system will
flag up the error for you to fix. This alert
will explain why the post is uncompliant
so that the user can learn from their
error, and it also means that every user
can post in confidence. If a post is seen
to be on the compliance borderline, the
Compliance Team at Forever’s UK Head
Office will be contacted to approve (or
reject) the post.
Scheduler
The built-in scheduler allows you to
programme in when you want to release
your social posts which is brilliant if you
want to plan your week (or month) in
advance, or to ensure you are covered if
you go on holiday. Planning your posts in
advance will give you more time to focus
on the income-producing activity that
your business needs.
“When it comes to compliance I found it difficult to
know what I can and can’t say, but with FLP.Social the
wording is compliance checked so after you’ve written
what you want to say it will tell you if it’s uncompliant.”
– Kyle Burrows, Senior Manager
“The thing I love most is
the visual composer. It’s
fantastic as you can put
your family portraits in, or
upload an image or picture,
and it looks so much more
professional with the logo,
etc. The scheduler is also
brilliant. Recently, one of
my Managers was able to
go on holiday to Newquay,
there was barely any signal,
but she was able to enjoy
her family holiday because
she had already scheduled
everything in.”
– Louise Barnacle, Soaring Manager

10 FLP.SOCIAL
WHAT ELSE CAN IT DO?
Hashtags
The dashboard allows both novice users
and seasoned social media experts
to quickly find relevant hashtags (e.g.
#SuccessDay) and use them in their
social media content. When you start to
add in a hashtag, the tool will guide you
by illustrating which hashtags are popular
through a colour coding system.
Hashtag monitor
Green = Best choice – your post is most
likely to be seen
Blue = An okay choice
Red = This hashtag gains too much
traffic – your post will get lost
Grey = No one uses this hashtag
Statistics
You may think you are a social media pro
but a real social media expert will know
exactly who is interacting with what
post, what time of day is most effective,
and what kind of posts do well across
different platforms. FLP.Social allows you
the chance to monitor and analyse the
statistics drawn from your posts so that
you can adjust your strategy accordingly.
Repost feature
FLP.Social replaces the traditional
‘retweet’ and ‘share’ with ‘repost’. If
you share or retweet an item through
FLP.Social the repost feature will scan the
item for links that contain an FBO ID and
it will automatically replace it with your
ID instead. This means that you can be
confident in the knowledge that you will
receive the credit for any sales that result
from items you repost from someone
above you in your network.
“I started using FLP.Social because I was asked to trial it but I have been using it ever since. I
always used to think that I was social media-savvy, but it turns out I’m not. Using the system
helped me to identify my stats and who’s engaging with my posts; it made me realise what
made strong content and it helped me to recognise which of all my social platforms are the
best for me to use. As a leader it was helpful for me when it came to training my team as it
gave me real confidence; I can now show my team how to use social media confidently and
compliantly.”
– Victoria Beardmore, Manager
Content research
Use the content research tool to find
relevant, trending content from YouTube
and Google that links in with your
business. You will have to be careful with
compliance and legitimacy here but it is
a great way to spark conversation within
your network.
Personalised website
Forever Business Owners can use
FLP.Social to quickly and easily create a
fully-branded landing page website that
can be used to promote the products
or business opportunity. The site is
automatically linked up to the Forever
shop so that you can easily generate
sales and prospects through the social
posts you share.

You can easily sign up to FLP.Social
using your contact details and FBO

we hope that you will see this tool
as an opportunity to build loyalty,
trust and brand awareness through
social media in a compliant and
effective way. To start using
the platform, please visit

“For me it’s a great
time-saver. With FLP.Social
I am able to fully prep
my week on a Monday
morning! What I didn’t
expect was to sponsor

using FLP.Social, but I did
which is amazing.”
– Emma Cooper, Sapphire Manager
“Already, after two months,
we’ve had over 250,000
posts go out from the

57,000 likes and 40,000
comments – and that’s just
on Facebook!”

AN INSPIRING
SUCCESS
In 2010 my husband and I were in a car
accident which resulted in me having
major health problems. For three years
I endured tests, MRI scans, and my
health was under constant investigation.
I was on morphine and a concoction of
various drugs before they found I had
osteoarthritis, facet joint disease and,
after two years, they finally diagnosed
me with ME. I spent most of my time in
bed, pumped with pills and I thought I
would never get better – it was an awful
way to exist.
Three years later, in September 2013, I
started my Forever journey. I did the C9
and although I had great results I thought
no more of it until April 2015. I had just
returned from Thailand and I was sifting
through holiday pictures when I realised
I had seriously let myself go. My health
was a mess, my life was a mess, and my
mindset was horrendous. I am a mum
of six beautiful kids – Cherry-Blossom,
Sally-Cinnamon, Travis, Flower-Joan,
River-Lennon Leaf and Thai-Star – so
I knew I had to do something, and I
knew I had to do it for my children.
Emma’s background is in holistic therapy and nutrition, and she even
runs a successful spray tan business. She started her Forever business
three years ago but didn’t take it seriously until 2015...

I decided to do another C9 and the
results were amazing. Camilla, my
sponsor, encouraged me to share my
results with the world and from this I sold
many more C9 packs. I felt amazing and I
loved every minute of my journey; no-one
could walk past me without knowing
about aloe – I really was a walking
product of the product.
In March 2015 I attended a QLS weekend
and I was so inspired that I walked away
knowing I was going to get to Manager,
and in the May, with help from my
amazing team, I achieved that promotion.
It’s not been easy and it’s a constant
commitment, but I want to encourage
those who are struggling to just keep
going. Sometimes you have to look to
those who believe in you and shadow
their belief – I couldn't have done it
without the support I received from
Ange Loughran and Camilla!
I am aiming to give my family a bigger
home, but I also want to enjoy more free
time with them to make up for those
three years I lost. I’m deaf, have ADHD
and I’m number dyslexic so it takes me
ages to learn anything, but today I’m a
true retailer and I’m proud to tell people
that I love Forever.

Professional boxer Navid Mansouri is one of Forever’s
UK F.I.T. Ambassadors. He started boxing from an early
age and turned professional in his late teens, but on 23rd
March 2016 Navid experienced excruciating pain as his
Achilles tendon snapped mid-spar.
The Achilles tendon stretches from
your heel to calf muscles and a
ruptured tendon can cause severe pain,
tenderness and walking difficulties.
Navid actually heard a loud cracking
noise when his tendon snapped so
you can imagine that it was far from
a pleasant experience.
Forever’s Editor, Kate Hodge, caught up
with Navid to find out how he is getting
on in recovery and what advice he has
for others who are hoping to bounce
back from a setback.

NM: Before my injury, when a fight was
scheduled, I’d have up to eight or ten
weeks at training camp. I’d usually train
three times a day but sometimes I’d go
up to four times a day. This included
jogging, strength and conditioning,
boxing and sometimes swimming.
This routine has changed a lot since
I’ve been injured. I’m focusing on
strengthening my back and leg again and
it’s all looking positive now: I’m seeing a
physio and working towards getting all
my strength back. At the minute I can’t
jog so I’m swimming and cycling. With
the boxing side I’m able to punch but I
can’t really put too much pressure on
my leg or overdo it.
"I’m focusing on strengthening my back and

14 RECOVERING FROM A SETBACK
Forever | October 2016
KH: WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO
CONTINUE TRAINING?
NM: Before injury my main motivation
was the thought that I could achieve my
goals. I love working towards the big
titles and winning; I just want to win all
the time, win several different titles and
be the best that I can be, so it was such
a setback when I was injured. I haven’t
yet achieved those goals I set out to
achieve, and at times this can get me
down, but ultimately the people around
me keep me ticking. I know that I will
be back soon and then I will achieve
my goals!
I’m currently recovering and seeing
a physio in Spain; I’ve been here for
almost a month. I’m doing what training
I can and the weather helps as well!
But ultimately the help that I’m getting
out here from my Managers has been
the greatest help. I’m at Macklin’s Gym,
Marbella and I couldn’t do it without
their help and support. They keep me
motivated but they also remind me to
take care of myself, to take my time
and to make sure that I heal properly.
KH: WHAT FOREVER PRODUCTS
HAVE HELPED YOU ALONG THE WAY?
NM: The main one that I’ve been using
is the Aloe Heat Lotion. I use this daily
in the mornings before I train and then
again after training – I just keep putting it
on. I’m also still taking Argi+ – I’ve taken
some out here with me – and Forever Lite
Ultra also still plays a part in my routine.
KH: WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE
TO AN INJURED SPORTSMAN?
NM: Don’t ever give up and stay positive.
I really believe that a positive mindset
can help heal your physical body, but you
also need to work towards something
– don’t let yourself go. When I first
got injured it was like the world just
crashed on top of me. It was just ten
days before my big fight, a fight I had
been working towards for some time
– the Commonwealth title – and when
it happened I couldn’t sleep for two or
three days. I just couldn’t get over it. I
was asking the doctors to inject me so
that I could fight as it really felt like the
end of the world. Suddenly I’d gone from
going at 100mph every day to zero. I
couldn’t move; I couldn’t do anything!
After a few days I got my head together
and realised that I could come back from
my injury. I kept positive and discovered
that positivity quickly builds up and
reflects in the physical.
KH: WHAT HAS HELPED YOU TO
REMAIN POSITIVE?
NM: I know that it is possible to bounce
back because I have seen it happen
before. David Beckham also snapped his
Achilles tendon, but he had physio and
gained his strength back. When you snap
the Achilles tendon you have to build
back the strength as you lose the muscle
in your leg. If you compare my right
leg to my left leg they look completely
different. The left leg is a lot smaller now
so I have to regain the muscle in order
to be able to walk normally. There are
several exercises I do to help with this;
you can’t just let it heal on its own, it’s an
active process that you have to decide
to commit to. I am currently trying to
get my ‘jump’ back; I use trampolines
so that I can get used to that bounce
motion again, and I also use the leg press
machine at the gym. By using fairly light
weights I can hold the weights with my
legs using the machine and this helps
to gradually strengthen the muscle.
When I first started I couldn’t hold it at
all, but now I am able to. It’s such an
encouragement to see improvements
and it helps you to stay positive. It makes
you realise that your hard work is paying
off and you are getting somewhere.
KH: WHEN DO YOU HOPE TO BE
FIGHTING AGAIN?
NM: I should be fully recovered within
about a month or so. I am going to
be aiming for the title fights: there’s
the British Belt Derby, the British
Commonwealth and the English
Commonwealth so those are the three
main titles I’m aiming for. As soon as I
am ready to go I will have a test fight to
ensure I am fully ready, and then I will
go for it. These fights are what push me
to recover but I know I need to be in
the best possible shape and condition
beforehand. Health is so important and I
need to ensure I’m at 100 percent, so for
now my focus is on the recovery.
LET’S LEARN
FROM NAVID…
Most of us have or will experience intense disappointment
in life. In can be extremely disheartening, suffocating and, if
handled poorly, devastating. But it doesn’t have to be. If you
are struggling in your business don’t just give up – speak
out to your upline, realign your focus and remember that it is
not a race. You do have what it takes, you can overcome the
challenges and with perseverance, training and daily activity
you will soon find that you’re stronger than ever!

CHRISTMAS
GIFT GUIDE AND
ORDER FORMS
The Christmas Gift Guide carries a very
different feel this year but captures the
theme of our Christmas video perfectly.
It’s been split into several sections to
help indicate to customers what types of
people they could gift different Forever
products to, and it has been cleverly
designed to appeal to both men and
women. The Christmas Gift Guide (9619)
costs just £3.00 for a pack of ten and it
is available today from Product Centres,
Order Line and foreverliving.com.
Its corresponding order forms can be
downloaded and printed off for free from
foreverknowledge.info (Retailing > Order
Forms and Price Lists) or a pack
of ten can be purchased from
forever.webstore.uk.com for £2.00.
Sharing the
Christmas spirit…
Shoving a load of Christmas Gift Guides
through your neighbours’ letterboxes
probably isn’t the most effective way to
boost retail orders; instead we would
suggest that you carefully consider how
you are going to package Christmas
when approaching customers, potential
customers and prospects. Running a
Christmas-themed product launch party
would be an excellent way to introduce
the gift guide to your network, and you
can even consider including one in
your PUPP drops. Always try and start
by broaching the subject of Christmas
conversationally before you wave a
brochure under someone’s nose.
Did you know? Several of Forever's
designed Christmas retailing tools can
also be shared digitally and we have
created a step-by-step ‘How-to…’ video
to help you with this process. You can
find this video on YouTube (youtube.com/
flpukltd) and foreverknowledge.info
from November 2016.
Forever loves Christmas and in the
run up to the big day we are on a
mission to carry out random acts of
kindness by adding free products
to the occasional order. How
will you spread joy this season?

CHRISTMAS ACTIVITY
PLANNER
Over the past year we have been
releasing a range of product and
recruitment adverts for FBOs to share
with prospects and customers. These
have been available in a variety of
formats including printed flyers and
social posts, and they are all available
for download on foreverknowledge.info
(Business > Business Tools > Christmas
Retailing Tools).
Christmas has not been forgotten
and you can now get some
specially-designed Christmas
versions that link with our campaign;
make sure you use them as part of your
daily activity in the build up to Christmas.
In order to ensure effective retail sales this season it is important that you keep
yourself organised and your schedule well planned. To help you stay on track we
have included an A2 Christmas Activity Planner with this magazine. The schedule
should be used straight away and it enables you to write on your weekly activity
so that you can clearly see your week-by-week plan over the next couple of
months. Use this in conjunction with Christmas-related material (e.g. video and
social posts) when Forever’s Head Office releases it, and your business will fly.
Did you know?
You can also buy Christmas-related
printed leaflets (£14 for 100 A5)
and posters (£7.00 – £35.00
depending on quantity) from
forever.webstore.uk.com.

CHRISTMAS
WISH LIST
Ensure you are properly equipped
for your product launches over
the coming months by introducing
your guests to Forever’s Christmas
campaign. Forever has designed
some downloadable Christmas
Wish List cards that you can use
at your launches so make sure
you visit foreverknowledge.info
(Business > Business Tools >
Christmas Retailing Tools > Other
Tools) for the free download or
forever.webstore.uk.com for the
printed versions (£2.00 for a pack
of ten).
Wish List cards are a great way to
connect with the guests at your
party even if they don’t buy anything
on the night. Simply hand the
Forever Wish Lists to your guests
at the launch and ask them to write
down what Forever products they’d
like to receive this Christmas. They
hand this back to you along with
their partner’s details, and after the
event you can contact their partner
and help them with their Christmas
shopping – result!
PERSONAL
SHOPPER
Nobody relishes the thought of braving
the crowded high street these next
couple of months so why don’t you
give your friends, customers and
acquaintances a helping hand by
becoming their personal shopper.
Forever Head Office has produced
some Christmas-themed Personal
Shopper cards that are designed to
capture information about the people
your customers need to buy for – their
interests, budget, etc. – and then they
return this to you so that you can do the
shopping for them! This is a great way
to introduce new people to the product
range and build rapport with your
customers. Gifts don’t purely have to
consist of Forever products, but you can
include an appropriate Forever product
as part of the overall gift, and package
the present beautifully. Be sure to include
your contact details in every gift you
wrap and don’t forget to give Forever
gifts yourself!
Personal Shopper cards are perfect
for sharing via email and they are
available as a free download from
foreverknowledge.info (Business >
Business Tools > Christmas Retailing
Tools > Other Tools), or you can
purchase printed versions from
forever.webstore.uk.com
(£2.00 for a pack of ten).
GIFT VOUCHERS
PACKAGING
SOLUTIONS
We have designed some
Christmas-themed gift vouchers which
are available to download for free today
from foreverknowledge.info (Business
> Business Tools > Christmas Retailing
Tools > Other Tools). These are available
in £5 or £10 amounts and they are great
to use as a reward for referrals or to use
for raffle prizes at Christmas fairs.
If you were at Success Express you’ll
know that Head Office’s own Front of
House Co-ordinator Sarah Isaac did
an incredible job at gift-wrapping our
products and demonstrating to you
how to turn them into beautiful gifts.
We asked Sarah to share some of
her packaging solutions with Forever
Magazine so that you too can recreate
attractive packaging solutions at home
and sell them as pre-made packs to
your customers.
Gift-wrapping solutions:
+ Pretty pots
+ Cellophane
+ Tissue paper
+ Shredded paper
+ Mini suitcases
+ Baskets
These materials can be found online,
in card shops or places like Ikea,
HobbyCraft and Wilkos, etc.
Did you know?
You can also buy printed
gift vouchers from
forever.webstore.uk.com
for just £1.50 (pack of ten).
"Gift wrapping is a simple solution for generating
sales as the convenience and quality is attractive to
customers. I have been wrapping Forever products
like this for a long time and these gifts are always
met with positive reactions. Give it a go – you'll be
impressed by how many compliments you receive!"

RETAILING AT CHRISTMAS
FOREVER
GIFT BAG
FOREVER’S
CHRISTMAS VIDEO
The Forever branded gift bag is incredibly
chic and we are so excited to to share it
with you. The 2016 design is white and
gold and will be available in two sizes
– 22cm x 22cm x 8cm (small at £1.50,
code: 10266) or 35cm x 41cm x 14cm
(large at £2.50, code: 10267).
The Forever Gift Bags are available
today from Product Centres,
Order Line and foreverliving.com.
We are so excited for the release of
our Christmas video and we hope you
enjoyed the sneak peek we shared
with you at Success Express. The
video has been shot to mirror the
thought-provoking style adopted by
several retailers over the past few years,
and the underlying message is all about
family, prioritising what’s important, and
being the favourite version of yourself
when it matters most. There are hints
of Forever products throughout the
video and we are pleased to announce
that it will be released globally at the
beginning of November. Make sure
you share this video across your social
platforms, play it at your launches and
link it to your websites once it has been
released. Also, don’t forget the hashtag –
#BeYourFavouriteSelf.
Whatever packaging you choose it is
important that you consider the retail
price carefully before you pitch it to your
customer. For example, if you are placing
a bottle of Aloe Moisturizing Lotion
(wholesale price – £8.92) in a pretty pot
(£1.25) with decorative tissue paper
and cellophane (approx. 50p) you could
comfortably sell this gift pack for £15.
As a general rule of thumb you would
add the cost of the packaging onto the
recommended retail price and round up.
We know that not everyone has the
gift-wrap knack but it is true that practice
does make perfect. We have therefore
created a ‘How-to’ video tutorial that
captures Sarah explaining step by step
how she makes her beautiful creations.
Watch it on YouTube (youtube.com/
flpukltd) and foreverknowledge.info in
November 2016.
It’s important that you start to take
pre-packaged beautiful gift packs to
your product launches over the coming
months. This is the best way to show
your customers what is available and
what they can get from you.
Please note:
All Forever products must remain
in original packaging; you are
therefore not allowed to decant the
contents into alternative packaging.
For example, you cannot pour
Forever Lite Ultra into a jam jar with
a ribbon and sell it as a product.
Always add, never take away!

SOCIAL MEDIA
FLP.SOCIAL
FLP.Social was launched last month and
it is already proving to be an invaluable
tool to Forever Business Owners (turn
to page 8 to find out more). To make
sure this platform is equipped with tools
that relate to our Christmas campaign,
Forever has created specific social media
posts that reflect the campaign. This
includes a countdown to Christmas and
imagery featured within the Christmas
Gift Guide. As with all content on
FLP.Social, these posts will be editable
if you do wish to make them your own,
and you can also schedule these posts in
advance so that you don’t have to worry
about them during the busy period.
SOCIAL CAMPAIGN
The Christmas video will kick-start
the social campaign across Forever’s
platforms and the weeks that follow will
each carry its own theme and focus.
Posts will highlight products, our video’s
Christmas message, and activities that
encourage a giving nature. These focuses
have been designed to keep Christmas
spirit alive and the seasonal buzz fresh.
We encourage all Forever Business
Owners to actively share Forever’s posts
across their own platforms and to plan
these onto their schedules.

RETAILING AT CHRISTMAS
We hope that you have found this article useful and we look forward to sharing in
the Christmas season with you. Let us know how you get on and whatever you do,
#BeYourFavouriteSelf.
Christmas retailing tips from Sapphire Manager Chris Goldsbrough:
01
Plan early! The majority of people spread the cost
of Christmas over three pay packets – September,
October and November – so NOW is the time to
be talking about Christmas!
02
Buy all your gifts from your own shop; if you don't
value your products, no-one else will! Purchase
and wrap your gifts and use these to show
customers. The added bonus is you will have
finished your Christmas shopping in October!
03
Book Christmas-themed open house gatherings,
launches and online events throughout October,
November and December and let your customers
know your plans in advance so they don’t
spend elsewhere.
04
Take your Christmas gifts with you when
delivering products and use the opportunity to
talk about Christmas and to offer your personal
shopper service.
05
Contact friends, family, customers and offer your
personal shopper service. Don’t forget that men
hate shopping so make sure you contact all the
men you know and offer to choose a gift and
deliver it wrapped for them; all they have to do is
decide how much they want to spend and write
the gift card on delivery!
06
Promote the Wish List at all your events and
follow up quickly.
07
Attach your contact details to every gift so that the
recipient can reorder from you. Why not include a
£5 gift voucher to be used on their next order as
an extra Christmas gift from you?
08
Promote the C9 to your customer as a way to
make sure they are looking and feeling great for
the party season.
10
Promote the C9 for delivery in December so
that your customers can kick off their New Year
resolution on January 2nd. Create a ‘New Year,
New You’ group and get fit together in 2017.
09
Promote our amazing business
at every opportunity:
+ it’s a great way to make extra money
for Christmas.
+ it’s a great way to pay off the cost of Christmas.
Who do you know that will be putting the cost of
Christmas on a credit card?
+ it offers freedom to spend time with family and
friends at Christmas. Who do you know that
often has to work over the Christmas period?

EAGLE

RETREAT
HIGHLIGHTS
This year’s Eagle Managers’ Retreat was
in Costa Navarino, Greece. It was the ideal
mix of entertainment, culture, training and
reward, and we are really excited to share
some of the highlights with you.
Eagle Managers’ Retreat is a global incentive which means Forever Business Owners
from around the world come together to learn, grow and celebrate their success with
one another. These pictures don’t quite do the event justice, but we promise you that
the atmosphere was remarkable, motivational and will be remembered by qualifiers
for years to come.

INTRODUCING
HEAD OFFICE...
GARY THYESON
Time at Forever: 2 Years
Job role and brief
explanation of
what you do:
Head of Business
Development & Events: I
am currently working on an
exciting project to improve
the experience of new
FBOs joining the business.
I also look after the VIPs
and oversee our
Events team.
What did you do
before Forever?
I am a qualified car
mechanic, although this
was a long time ago.
Prior to Forever I spent
five years working in debt
recovery – Boo!
What’s your favourite
Forever product?
Forever Bee Honey.
What three things do you
want to accomplish in
your life?
I want to be a good
husband, a good friend
and a good dad!
What would you cook
if you were to throw a
dinner party?
I’m a big fan of BBQs and
having friends round; it’s
much less formal than a
dinner party!
If you could have dinner
with anyone in the world,
who would you choose?
My family.
35FOREVER NEWS
FBOs who have never sponsored before will be entered into a weekly prize
draw each time they sponsor a new Assistant Supervisor into the business.
Qualifiers can sponsor as many people as they like during the incentive period
and every new sponsor will count.
For New FBOs

  • 4. 4 REX’S MESSAGE Forever | October 2016 FINDING YOUR STRENGTH There is a story about a young boy and his father who were hiking through a forest. They came upon a large log that was blocking their path. Excited and eager to show off for his father, the boy ran up to the log and examined the obstacle. The boy turned to his father and asked, “Do you think I can lift this log, Dad?” The father responded that if he used all of his strength, he absolutely would be able to lift the log. Thrilled at the challenge, the boy took a deep breath, rolled up his sleeves and bent down to pick up the log. He tried with all of his power, over and over until he couldn’t manage to try any longer. Desperate and saddened by his failure, he looked at his father and said, “You told me I could lift it!” His dad just smiled and said, “I told you could lift it if you used all of your strength, but you didn’t ask me for help.” In the end there is never a time where we really are alone in this world. When we feel inadequate or unable to move the obstacles in our path, there is only one way to find a solution: ask for help. The boy and his father moved the log together and continued on their journey. Just like the boy, you have the support of some very powerful people in your life – your upline and downline. Together you make a strong network of people who are chasing your dreams and willing to do what it takes to find happiness and success for themselves and for others. Whatever life throws at you, you are always strong enough to get through it. You just have to remember to use all of your strength, within you and around you. Forever Yours, Rex Maughan Chairman and CEO Do you ever get the feeling that you are inadequate or lost? This world has a funny way of doing that to us. With billions of people in the world, we still have times when we feel alone or incapable of completing something on our own; but we should not.
  • 5. PERSISTENCE PAYS OFF Whilst in recovery I began to slowly build my business, develop relationships and learn more about the opportunity, but I was still in no position to drive or do anything active. I found myself in a serious rut: I had been made redundant from my job as a teacher, I was unable to do any serious manual work, and I was slowly drifting into depression. I had to do something so in October I set myself the challenge to get back to peak fitness within five months – I wanted to be ready in time for the Great British European Duathlon Championships in Kalkar, Germany. I threw myself into a rigorous regime of training and daily supplementation. I started with the C9 and then built on my fitness and weight loss by integrating products such as Forever Aloe Vera Gel, Argi+, Forever Lite Ultra and Forever Therm into my exercise schedule. As each month passed my fitness, strength and speed improved, my resting heart rate dropped, and my threshold capabilities developed. By the time the Team GB European Championships were in sight, I had increased my power averages on my bike by 30% and my average run paces were at a point I had never reached before – even pre-injury! I went into the competition with less than six months’ training and I managed to come out with a bronze medal. When I arrived back in the UK I decided to give the National Standard Distance Duathlon Championship a go. I didn’t have long to train but I had Argi+, Forever Freedom and Forever Lite Ultra on my side and I managed to leave with a silver medal! I have been a multisport athlete for a number of years but in 2015 I suffered a serious injury that set me back by nearly eight months. During this time I had an operation that forced me into a sedentary lifestyle. I lost all fitness, put on over two stone in weight, and I was seriously unhealthy when Forever found me in June 2015... "Forever is now an intrinsic part of my life." 5RECOGNITION This business has also benefitted me as a sport and triathlon coach; it’s been helpful having a base of products that uphold the same values – ethical, natural, healthy – and Forever is now an intrinsic part of my life. My athletes, clients and community have seen first-hand the transformation in my own health and fitness, and many of them have had similar (and often better) results. Being able to discuss my experience of the C9 and F.I.T. programme has been essential in forming relationships and supporting clients on their own journeys, but this is all just the beginning! In July next year I plan to work with Global F.I.T. Ambassador Mike Butterworth and undertake seven ironman triathlons in seven days, and I'll be utilising a whole range of Forever products to ensure success. • 6. STAY FOCUSED ON YOUR DREAM Congratulations to all of you who qualified to go; we had our biggest group ever, close to 500 of us from the UK and Ireland. Twenty years ago I would have never dreamt that we would be chartering our own planes to get to an event, but we did. Two shiny commercial jets waited for us at Luton airport to fly us directly there. You can imagine the atmosphere on board and the fun we had. Congratulations also to everyone in the group that took part in the amazing training that we experienced; I am really proud of all of you. Special thanks to our GLT, many of whom hosted all three groups. These trips can be truly life-changing, so I encourage all of you reading this piece to really work hard on setting your goals. If you do that and work hard day by day, you could be with us next year at the Eagle Managers’ Retreat, sailing the Mediterranean on a beautiful cruise liner. Setting goals and visualising the outcomes we want changes the way we act; it energises us. As we are now in our most productive time of the year, go the extra mile to find more customers for your products simply by being a great advocate for, and enthusiastic about them. At the same time, recognise that there are tens of thousands of people out there who would love to change their lives by being able to become a Forever Business Owner. I am proud to be part of something special that is helping people achieve their dreams, and I am especially proud of all of our qualifiers and achievers. Bob Parker Country Manager @bobparkerflp www.youtube.com/flpukltd I am writing this having just returned from the Eagle Managers’ Retreat held in the Costa Navarino resort in Southern Greece. What an amazing event it was, and what a beautiful resort to host it in; we really were spoilt with luxury! 6 BOB’S MESSAGE “Our eyes only see and our ears only hearwhat our brain is looking for.” – Dan Sullivan “Your future is as bright as your faith.” – Thomas S Monsoon I like both of these quotes because they have both been around for a very long time. You see, for hundreds of years, inspirational figures have been sharing the ‘secrets’ of being a high achiever. The consistent viewpoint of all these learned people is that having the right thought patterns greatly increases our chances of achieving our goals and dreams. Getting excited about a vision of what we would like to achieve, or who we would like to become, and then staying focused on that dream is critical. I have found that it is amazing what can be achieved when you become a person who is in control of their future. It’s worth the pain of growing, of handling the obstacles that we all face as we develop our futures – just ask the guys and girls who were in Greece!! Forever | October 2016
  • 7. 7RECOGNITION Forever | October 2016 TAKE BACK CONTROL I became a single parent when my daughter was three and I really struggled with shift work. The long hours and overwhelming feeling of guilt was too much and I realised I needed something else. In 2013 my friend introduced me to Forever and although I didn’t have a clue what she was talking about, I trusted her. I had a good feeling about Forever and I liked the idea of earning an extra few hundred pounds so that I could reduce my police hours. When I achieved Supervisor I was able to reduce my hours, but then I was told I couldn’t have time off over Christmas, including Christmas day. That’s when I decided to take back control and I made plans to take a five-year career break starting in August 2015. After making this decision, people would comment how it was a good idea just taking a break in case Forever didn’t work out, but the thought of going back really scared me. It still felt like the police controlled me and I was already dreading going back. It took me a few months to adjust – I had spent eleven years as a police officer – but I really struggled to find a daily routine, let alone work a business from home. Over the months my business fell away, but I never lost sight of what I wanted from Forever, it was just taking me a lot longer than expected. In May 2016 I decided enough was enough; I resigned from the police and suddenly a weight was lifted. At twenty-four years old I was fresh out of police training and fully expecting to work as a police officer for the rest of my working life. I thoroughly enjoyed my job and was willing to work the long shifts, but after the birth of my daughter my priorities changed… I am now rebuilding my business whilst working part-time in an office, which I really enjoy. I feel in complete control of my life and I am doing things that I was never able to commit to before. I play and coach football, I’ve achieved my FA Level 1 Coaching Award, I’ve become a school governor for my daughter’s school, I’ve taken up running and I also completed the Paris marathon in April 2016 – this was a huge achievement for me. Forever opened up my eyes to what is possible, it made me see that there are other options. I now have time; time to spend with my daughter, time to take her to school and pick her up again, and that is absolutely invaluable. My advice to anyone who is feeling like their business isn’t progressing is to take some time and invest in yourself, but most importantly you should never give up on your dream, despite how rocky the journey is. • 8. Forever | October 2016 8 FLP.SOCIAL FLP.Social is a social media management platform for Forever Business Owners. It has loads of useful features and each one has been specifically designed to help you grow your Forever business. If you use social media, or you want to increase your social media presence, don’t do anything without looking into FLP.Social first. This platform allows you to manage your Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest accounts from a central location, and it also offers full training on each platform so that you can use them with confidence. “Network marketing is not all about social media, it’s about building a network – it’s a people business. We are not trying to replace this concept. Instead, social media can and is a tool that can help you to recruit people and sell products. It is a tool to help you develop relationships.” – Richard Ells, FLP.Social
  • 9. 9FLP.SOCIAL Forever | October 2016 WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? Templated posts Your business and time is far too important to be spent staring at a blank screen trying to think up something to post! FLP.Social has done the hard work for you and offers all subscribers access to a huge library of high quality, compliant social media content. These posts have already been designed to look professional and to link in with other Forever literature and campaigns, and there are already one-and-a-half million pre-approved posts for you to choose from, but the bank is constantly expanding! Each time you post you can select the platforms you want your post to appear on, and, if you use Facebook, you can even arrange for your post to appear on multiple pages or select groups. If preferred you can digress from the pre-designed template and make the post your own. FLP.Social gives you the option to edit posts, add body text, links, and also any hashtags that you think would work well. Visual composer If you are feeling creative and you have the time to spare, you can create your own professional-looking post from scratch using FLP.Social’s visual composer. The site provides you with access to a large bank of high quality images, including product- and lifestyle-related shots, the search function allows relevant images to be found easily and conveniently, and you can also upload your own images if you have something of quality that is relevant. You can add your own text to the artwork and the tool is so simple and easy to use, in reality it only takes a few minutes to create something inspiring and effective! Remember: Twitter has a character restriction but it will still post what you write even if it’s too long. Don’t be caught out by posting something that trails off as this will look unprofessional. Keep an eye on FLP.Social’s character counter as you write your posts. Compliance checker The templated posts are perfect for new FBOs who are yet to get their heads around the compliance rules, but the great thing is that even posts created from scratch will have to filter through FLP.Social’s built-in compliance checker first. Every post will be scanned before it is released to the public and if something is seen to be uncompliant the system will flag up the error for you to fix. This alert will explain why the post is uncompliant so that the user can learn from their error, and it also means that every user can post in confidence. If a post is seen to be on the compliance borderline, the Compliance Team at Forever’s UK Head Office will be contacted to approve (or reject) the post. Scheduler The built-in scheduler allows you to programme in when you want to release your social posts which is brilliant if you want to plan your week (or month) in advance, or to ensure you are covered if you go on holiday. Planning your posts in advance will give you more time to focus on the income-producing activity that your business needs. “When it comes to compliance I found it difficult to know what I can and can’t say, but with FLP.Social the wording is compliance checked so after you’ve written what you want to say it will tell you if it’s uncompliant.” – Kyle Burrows, Senior Manager “The thing I love most is the visual composer. It’s fantastic as you can put your family portraits in, or upload an image or picture, and it looks so much more professional with the logo, etc. The scheduler is also brilliant. Recently, one of my Managers was able to go on holiday to Newquay, there was barely any signal, but she was able to enjoy her family holiday because she had already scheduled everything in.” – Louise Barnacle, Soaring Manager
  • 10. Forever | October 2016 10 FLP.SOCIAL WHAT ELSE CAN IT DO? Hashtags The dashboard allows both novice users and seasoned social media experts to quickly find relevant hashtags (e.g. #SuccessDay) and use them in their social media content. When you start to add in a hashtag, the tool will guide you by illustrating which hashtags are popular through a colour coding system. Hashtag monitor Green = Best choice – your post is most likely to be seen Blue = An okay choice Red = This hashtag gains too much traffic – your post will get lost Grey = No one uses this hashtag Statistics You may think you are a social media pro but a real social media expert will know exactly who is interacting with what post, what time of day is most effective, and what kind of posts do well across different platforms. FLP.Social allows you the chance to monitor and analyse the statistics drawn from your posts so that you can adjust your strategy accordingly. Repost feature FLP.Social replaces the traditional ‘retweet’ and ‘share’ with ‘repost’. If you share or retweet an item through FLP.Social the repost feature will scan the item for links that contain an FBO ID and it will automatically replace it with your ID instead. This means that you can be confident in the knowledge that you will receive the credit for any sales that result from items you repost from someone above you in your network. “I started using FLP.Social because I was asked to trial it but I have been using it ever since. I always used to think that I was social media-savvy, but it turns out I’m not. Using the system helped me to identify my stats and who’s engaging with my posts; it made me realise what made strong content and it helped me to recognise which of all my social platforms are the best for me to use. As a leader it was helpful for me when it came to training my team as it gave me real confidence; I can now show my team how to use social media confidently and compliantly.” – Victoria Beardmore, Manager Content research Use the content research tool to find relevant, trending content from YouTube and Google that links in with your business. You will have to be careful with compliance and legitimacy here but it is a great way to spark conversation within your network. Personalised website Forever Business Owners can use FLP.Social to quickly and easily create a fully-branded landing page website that can be used to promote the products or business opportunity. The site is automatically linked up to the Forever shop so that you can easily generate sales and prospects through the social posts you share.
  • 11. Forever | October 2016 11FLP.SOCIAL HOW DO YOU SIGN UP? You can easily sign up to FLP.Social using your contact details and FBO ID and it will only take you a few minutes to get started. • 12. AN INSPIRING SUCCESS In 2010 my husband and I were in a car accident which resulted in me having major health problems. For three years I endured tests, MRI scans, and my health was under constant investigation. I was on morphine and a concoction of various drugs before they found I had osteoarthritis, facet joint disease and, after two years, they finally diagnosed me with ME. I spent most of my time in bed, pumped with pills and I thought I would never get better – it was an awful way to exist. Three years later, in September 2013, I started my Forever journey. I did the C9 and although I had great results I thought no more of it until April 2015. I had just returned from Thailand and I was sifting through holiday pictures when I realised I had seriously let myself go. My health was a mess, my life was a mess, and my mindset was horrendous. I am a mum of six beautiful kids – Cherry-Blossom, Sally-Cinnamon, Travis, Flower-Joan, River-Lennon Leaf and Thai-Star – so I knew I had to do something, and I knew I had to do it for my children. Emma’s background is in holistic therapy and nutrition, and she even runs a successful spray tan business. She started her Forever business three years ago but didn’t take it seriously until 2015... Sponsor // Camilla and Jonathan Ulysses Favourite product // Forever Aloe Vera Gel Manager // Emma and Damian Waghorn "No-one could walk past me without knowing about aloe – I really was a walking product of the product." I decided to do another C9 and the results were amazing. Camilla, my sponsor, encouraged me to share my results with the world and from this I sold many more C9 packs. I felt amazing and I loved every minute of my journey; no-one could walk past me without knowing about aloe – I really was a walking product of the product. In March 2015 I attended a QLS weekend and I was so inspired that I walked away knowing I was going to get to Manager, and in the May, with help from my amazing team, I achieved that promotion. It’s not been easy and it’s a constant commitment, but I want to encourage those who are struggling to just keep going. Sometimes you have to look to those who believe in you and shadow their belief – I couldn't have done it without the support I received from Ange Loughran and Camilla! I am aiming to give my family a bigger home, but I also want to enjoy more free time with them to make up for those three years I lost. I’m deaf, have ADHD and I’m number dyslexic so it takes me ages to learn anything, but today I’m a true retailer and I’m proud to tell people that I love Forever. 12 RECOGNITION Forever | October 2016
  • 13. 13RECOVERING FROM A SETBACK Forever | October 2016 NAVID MANSOURI: RECOVERING FROMASETBACK Professional boxer Navid Mansouri is one of Forever’s UK F.I.T. Ambassadors. He started boxing from an early age and turned professional in his late teens, but on 23rd March 2016 Navid experienced excruciating pain as his Achilles tendon snapped mid-spar. The Achilles tendon stretches from your heel to calf muscles and a ruptured tendon can cause severe pain, tenderness and walking difficulties. Navid actually heard a loud cracking noise when his tendon snapped so you can imagine that it was far from a pleasant experience. Forever’s Editor, Kate Hodge, caught up with Navid to find out how he is getting on in recovery and what advice he has for others who are hoping to bounce back from a setback. KH: WHAT’S YOUR USUAL PROCESS FOR TRAINING? NM: Before my injury, when a fight was scheduled, I’d have up to eight or ten weeks at training camp. I’d usually train three times a day but sometimes I’d go up to four times a day. This included jogging, strength and conditioning, boxing and sometimes swimming. This routine has changed a lot since I’ve been injured. I’m focusing on strengthening my back and leg again and it’s all looking positive now: I’m seeing a physio and working towards getting all my strength back. At the minute I can’t jog so I’m swimming and cycling. With the boxing side I’m able to punch but I can’t really put too much pressure on my leg or overdo it. "I’m focusing on strengthening my back and leg again and it’s all looking positive now: I’m seeing a physio and working towards getting all my strength back. At the minute I can’t jog so I’m swimming and cycling."
  • 14. 14 RECOVERING FROM A SETBACK Forever | October 2016 KH: WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO CONTINUE TRAINING? NM: Before injury my main motivation was the thought that I could achieve my goals. I love working towards the big titles and winning; I just want to win all the time, win several different titles and be the best that I can be, so it was such a setback when I was injured. I haven’t yet achieved those goals I set out to achieve, and at times this can get me down, but ultimately the people around me keep me ticking. I know that I will be back soon and then I will achieve my goals! I’m currently recovering and seeing a physio in Spain; I’ve been here for almost a month. I’m doing what training I can and the weather helps as well! But ultimately the help that I’m getting out here from my Managers has been the greatest help. I’m at Macklin’s Gym, Marbella and I couldn’t do it without their help and support. They keep me motivated but they also remind me to take care of myself, to take my time and to make sure that I heal properly. KH: WHAT FOREVER PRODUCTS HAVE HELPED YOU ALONG THE WAY? NM: The main one that I’ve been using is the Aloe Heat Lotion. I use this daily in the mornings before I train and then again after training – I just keep putting it on. I’m also still taking Argi+ – I’ve taken some out here with me – and Forever Lite Ultra also still plays a part in my routine. KH: WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO AN INJURED SPORTSMAN? NM: Don’t ever give up and stay positive. I really believe that a positive mindset can help heal your physical body, but you also need to work towards something – don’t let yourself go. When I first got injured it was like the world just crashed on top of me. It was just ten days before my big fight, a fight I had been working towards for some time – the Commonwealth title – and when it happened I couldn’t sleep for two or three days. I just couldn’t get over it. I was asking the doctors to inject me so that I could fight as it really felt like the end of the world. Suddenly I’d gone from going at 100mph every day to zero. I couldn’t move; I couldn’t do anything! After a few days I got my head together and realised that I could come back from my injury. I kept positive and discovered that positivity quickly builds up and reflects in the physical. KH: WHAT HAS HELPED YOU TO REMAIN POSITIVE? NM: I know that it is possible to bounce back because I have seen it happen before. David Beckham also snapped his Achilles tendon, but he had physio and gained his strength back. When you snap the Achilles tendon you have to build back the strength as you lose the muscle in your leg. If you compare my right leg to my left leg they look completely different. The left leg is a lot smaller now so I have to regain the muscle in order to be able to walk normally. There are several exercises I do to help with this; you can’t just let it heal on its own, it’s an active process that you have to decide to commit to. I am currently trying to get my ‘jump’ back; I use trampolines so that I can get used to that bounce motion again, and I also use the leg press machine at the gym. By using fairly light weights I can hold the weights with my legs using the machine and this helps to gradually strengthen the muscle. When I first started I couldn’t hold it at all, but now I am able to. It’s such an encouragement to see improvements and it helps you to stay positive. It makes you realise that your hard work is paying off and you are getting somewhere. KH: WHEN DO YOU HOPE TO BE FIGHTING AGAIN? NM: I should be fully recovered within about a month or so. I am going to be aiming for the title fights: there’s the British Belt Derby, the British Commonwealth and the English Commonwealth so those are the three main titles I’m aiming for. As soon as I am ready to go I will have a test fight to ensure I am fully ready, and then I will go for it. These fights are what push me to recover but I know I need to be in the best possible shape and condition beforehand. Health is so important and I need to ensure I’m at 100 percent, so for now my focus is on the recovery. LET’S LEARN FROM NAVID… Most of us have or will experience intense disappointment in life. In can be extremely disheartening, suffocating and, if handled poorly, devastating. But it doesn’t have to be. • 17. 17RETAILING AT CHRISTMAS Forever | October 2016 CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE AND ORDER FORMS The Christmas Gift Guide carries a very different feel this year but captures the theme of our Christmas video perfectly. It’s been split into several sections to help indicate to customers what types of people they could gift different Forever products to, and it has been cleverly designed to appeal to both men and women. The Christmas Gift Guide (9619) costs just £3.00 for a pack of ten and it is available today from Product Centres, Order Line and foreverliving.com. Its corresponding order forms can be downloaded and printed off for free from foreverknowledge.info (Retailing > Order Forms and Price Lists) or a pack of ten can be purchased from forever.webstore.uk.com for £2.00. Sharing the Christmas spirit… Shoving a load of Christmas Gift Guides through your neighbours’ letterboxes probably isn’t the most effective way to boost retail orders; instead we would suggest that you carefully consider how you are going to package Christmas when approaching customers, potential customers and prospects. Running a Christmas-themed product launch party would be an excellent way to introduce the gift guide to your network, and you can even consider including one in your PUPP drops. Always try and start by broaching the subject of Christmas conversationally before you wave a brochure under someone’s nose. Did you know? Several of Forever's designed Christmas retailing tools can also be shared digitally and we have created a step-by-step ‘How-to…’ video to help you with this process. You can find this video on YouTube (youtube.com/ flpukltd) and foreverknowledge.info from November 2016. Forever loves Christmas and in the run up to the big day we are on a mission to carry out random acts of kindness by adding free products to the occasional order. How will you spread joy this season? #BeYourFavouriteSelf FOREVER LOVES THIS

Posts can easily be shared via email or on social media so make sure you are sending relevant content to your customers as a way of encouraging them to purchase products. PRODUCT AND RECRUITMENT ADVERTS CHRISTMAS ACTIVITY PLANNER Over the past year we have been releasing a range of product and recruitment adverts for FBOs to share with prospects and customers. These have been available in a variety of formats including printed flyers and social posts, and they are all available for download on foreverknowledge.info (Business > Business Tools > Christmas Retailing Tools). Christmas has not been forgotten and you can now get some specially-designed Christmas versions that link with our campaign; make sure you use them as part of your daily activity in the build up to Christmas. In order to ensure effective retail sales this season it is important that you keep yourself organised and your schedule well planned. To help you stay on track we have included an A2 Christmas Activity Planner with this magazine. The schedule should be used straight away and it enables you to write on your weekly activity so that you can clearly see your week-by-week plan over the next couple of months. Use this in conjunction with Christmas-related material (e.g. video and social posts) when Forever’s Head Office releases it, and your business will fly. Did you know? You can also buy Christmas-related printed leaflets (£14 for 100 A5) and posters (£7.00 – £35.00 depending on quantity) from forever.webstore.uk.com.
  • 19. 19RETAILING AT CHRISTMAS Forever | October 2016 CHRISTMAS WISH LIST Ensure you are properly equipped for your product launches over the coming months by introducing your guests to Forever’s Christmas campaign. Forever has designed some downloadable Christmas Wish List cards that you can use at your launches so make sure you visit foreverknowledge.info (Business > Business Tools > Christmas Retailing Tools > Other Tools) for the free download or forever.webstore.uk.com for the printed versions (£2.00 for a pack of ten). Wish List cards are a great way to connect with the guests at your party even if they don’t buy anything on the night. Simply hand the Forever Wish Lists to your guests at the launch and ask them to write down what Forever products they’d like to receive this Christmas. They hand this back to you along with their partner’s details, and after the event you can contact their partner and help them with their Christmas shopping – result! PERSONAL SHOPPER Nobody relishes the thought of braving the crowded high street these next couple of months so why don’t you give your friends, customers and acquaintances a helping hand by becoming their personal shopper. Forever Head Office has produced some Christmas-themed Personal Shopper cards that are designed to capture information about the people your customers need to buy for – their interests, budget, etc. – and then they return this to you so that you can do the shopping for them! This is a great way to introduce new people to the product range and build rapport with your customers. Gifts don’t purely have to consist of Forever products, but you can include an appropriate Forever product as part of the overall gift, and package the present beautifully. Be sure to include your contact details in every gift you wrap and don’t forget to give Forever gifts yourself! Personal Shopper cards are perfect for sharing via email and they are available as a free download from foreverknowledge.info (Business > Business Tools > Christmas Retailing Tools > Other Tools), or you can purchase printed versions from forever.webstore.uk.com (£2.00 for a pack of ten). GIFT VOUCHERS PACKAGING SOLUTIONS We have designed some Christmas-themed gift vouchers which are available to download for free today from foreverknowledge.info (Business > Business Tools > Christmas Retailing Tools > Other Tools). These are available in £5 or £10 amounts and they are great to use as a reward for referrals or to use for raffle prizes at Christmas fairs. If you were at Success Express you’ll know that Head Office’s own Front of House Co-ordinator Sarah Isaac did an incredible job at gift-wrapping our products and demonstrating to you how to turn them into beautiful gifts. We asked Sarah to share some of her packaging solutions with Forever Magazine so that you too can recreate attractive packaging solutions at home and sell them as pre-made packs to your customers. Gift-wrapping solutions: + Pretty pots + Cellophane + Tissue paper + Shredded paper + Mini suitcases + Baskets These materials can be found online, in card shops or places like Ikea, HobbyCraft and Wilkos, etc. Did you know? You can also buy printed gift vouchers from forever.webstore.uk.com for just £1.50 (pack of ten). "Gift wrapping is a simple solution for generating sales as the convenience and quality is attractive to customers. I have been wrapping Forever products like this for a long time and these gifts are always met with positive reactions. • 20. 20 Forever | October 2016 RETAILING AT CHRISTMAS FOREVER GIFT BAG FOREVER’S CHRISTMAS VIDEO The Forever branded gift bag is incredibly chic and we are so excited to to share it with you. The 2016 design is white and gold and will be available in two sizes – 22cm x 22cm x 8cm (small at £1.50, code: 10266) or 35cm x 41cm x 14cm (large at £2.50, code: 10267). The Forever Gift Bags are available today from Product Centres, Order Line and foreverliving.com. We are so excited for the release of our Christmas video and we hope you enjoyed the sneak peek we shared with you at Success Express. The video has been shot to mirror the thought-provoking style adopted by several retailers over the past few years, and the underlying message is all about family, prioritising what’s important, and being the favourite version of yourself when it matters most. There are hints of Forever products throughout the video and we are pleased to announce that it will be released globally at the beginning of November. Make sure you share this video across your social platforms, play it at your launches and link it to your websites once it has been released. Also, don’t forget the hashtag – #BeYourFavouriteSelf. Whatever packaging you choose it is important that you consider the retail price carefully before you pitch it to your customer. For example, if you are placing a bottle of Aloe Moisturizing Lotion (wholesale price – £8.92) in a pretty pot (£1.25) with decorative tissue paper and cellophane (approx. 50p) you could comfortably sell this gift pack for £15. As a general rule of thumb you would add the cost of the packaging onto the recommended retail price and round up. We know that not everyone has the gift-wrap knack but it is true that practice does make perfect. We have therefore created a ‘How-to’ video tutorial that captures Sarah explaining step by step how she makes her beautiful creations. Watch it on YouTube (youtube.com/ flpukltd) and foreverknowledge.info in November 2016. It’s important that you start to take pre-packaged beautiful gift packs to your product launches over the coming months. This is the best way to show your customers what is available and what they can get from you. Please note: All Forever products must remain in original packaging; you are therefore not allowed to decant the contents into alternative packaging. For example, you cannot pour Forever Lite Ultra into a jam jar with a ribbon and sell it as a product. Always add, never take away!
  • 21. 21RETAILING AT CHRISTMAS SOCIAL MEDIA FLP.SOCIAL FLP.Social was launched last month and it is already proving to be an invaluable tool to Forever Business Owners (turn to page 8 to find out more). To make sure this platform is equipped with tools that relate to our Christmas campaign, Forever has created specific social media posts that reflect the campaign. This includes a countdown to Christmas and imagery featured within the Christmas Gift Guide. As with all content on FLP.Social, these posts will be editable if you do wish to make them your own, and you can also schedule these posts in advance so that you don’t have to worry about them during the busy period. SOCIAL CAMPAIGN The Christmas video will kick-start the social campaign across Forever’s platforms and the weeks that follow will each carry its own theme and focus. Posts will highlight products, our video’s Christmas message, and activities that encourage a giving nature. These focuses have been designed to keep Christmas spirit alive and the seasonal buzz fresh. We encourage all Forever Business Owners to actively share Forever’s posts across their own platforms and to plan these onto their schedules. • 22. 22 Forever | October 2016 RETAILING AT CHRISTMAS We hope that you have found this article useful and we look forward to sharing in the Christmas season with you. Let us know how you get on and whatever you do, #BeYourFavouriteSelf. Christmas retailing tips from Sapphire Manager Chris Goldsbrough: 01 Plan early! The majority of people spread the cost of Christmas over three pay packets – September, October and November – so NOW is the time to be talking about Christmas! 02 Buy all your gifts from your own shop; if you don't value your products, no-one else will! Purchase and wrap your gifts and use these to show customers. The added bonus is you will have finished your Christmas shopping in October! 03 Book Christmas-themed open house gatherings, launches and online events throughout October, November and December and let your customers know your plans in advance so they don’t spend elsewhere. 04 Take your Christmas gifts with you when delivering products and use the opportunity to talk about Christmas and to offer your personal shopper service. 05 Contact friends, family, customers and offer your personal shopper service. Don’t forget that men hate shopping so make sure you contact all the men you know and offer to choose a gift and deliver it wrapped for them; all they have to do is decide how much they want to spend and write the gift card on delivery! 06 Promote the Wish List at all your events and follow up quickly. 07 Attach your contact details to every gift so that the recipient can reorder from you. Why not include a £5 gift voucher to be used on their next order as an extra Christmas gift from you? 08 Promote the C9 to your customer as a way to make sure they are looking and feeling great for the party season. 10 Promote the C9 for delivery in December so that your customers can kick off their New Year resolution on January 2nd. Create a ‘New Year, New You’ group and get fit together in 2017. 09 Promote our amazing business at every opportunity: + it’s a great way to make extra money for Christmas. + it’s a great way to pay off the cost of Christmas. Who do you know that will be putting the cost of Christmas on a credit card? + it offers freedom to spend time with family and friends at Christmas. Who do you know that often has to work over the Christmas period?

GARY THYESON Time at Forever: 2 Years Job role and brief explanation of what you do: Head of Business Development & Events: I am currently working on an exciting project to improve the experience of new FBOs joining the business. I also look after the VIPs and oversee our Events team. What did you do before Forever? I am a qualified car mechanic, although this was a long time ago. Prior to Forever I spent five years working in debt recovery – Boo! What’s your favourite Forever product? Forever Bee Honey. What three things do you want to accomplish in your life? I want to be a good husband, a good friend and a good dad! What would you cook if you were to throw a dinner party? I’m a big fan of BBQs and having friends round; it’s much less formal than a dinner party! If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would you choose? My family. 35FOREVER NEWS
