 The idlis are cooked and dried using infrared radiation at a temperature of 700º C,
and then further dried by microwaving. The moisture is zapped out of them, but not
the taste, smell or nutrients. The idlis and sambhar are to be eaten after adding hot
water; the coconut chutney needs only cold water. Each idli is 12 gm and swells to
25 gm when soaked in water. The desiccation makes it impossible for micro
organisms like bacteria to grow and increases the idlis’ shelf life to more than a year.
The sambhar and chutney are also dried completely with infrared radiation, a
technology that has been used in the preparation of food over the past six years or
so.

 Like raw denim and Pokemon, X is the latest phenomenon to have originated from
Japan.
 X is cooked rice and/or soya beans that have been inoculated with a fermentation
culture, Aspergillus oryzae. This naturally occurring culture is particularly prevalent
in Japan, which explains why so many Japanese foods have been developed over
the centuries using it. It is used to make popular foods like soya sauce, miso, mirin
and sake, kickstarting the formation of that umami flavour.
 Nature’s MSG, it imparts a funky, fatty taste—without any added salt, sugar, or oil.
That’s why professional chefs have begun to cure chicken with it and rub it on
scallops, allowing it to coax out their oceanic flavour.

 “His eureka moment came on a train journey back from Indiana when he stared
despondently out of the window of the train, pondering on life and dwelling on the
inefficiencies of the grocery business. At one point the train slowed and he passed a
large pig farm. There, in a pen, he saw a large number of piglets gathering round
the mother sow to feed. It made him think about how in all the stores he knew –
where customers were served at a counter – during the busy times there were
never enough clerks on hand, while during the quieter hours those same staff had
nothing to do. He hit on the name Piggly Wiggly and, within a few months, on 5
September 1916, opened his first store.”

3  Escapeto Victory (1981) is a film about football starring Michael Caine, Sylvester Stallone among others and several footballers including Pele, Osvaldo Ardiles, John Wark and popular faces from Ipswich town. The plot speaks of a football match between the Allied POWs, and a German team and how the Allied team defeats the German team in spite of bias from the officials and a strong opposition. They finally escape from prison after winning the death match and create history.  History however paints a different picture of “The Death Match” between two teams, in which a match was played in 1942 and the German team “Flakelf” was defeated 5-3 by the local Ukranian team. Among the players from this Ukranian squad, three of them were killed, and four of them were taken prisoners but they escaped prison.  The Ukranian team was FC Start, which was composed of professional footballers from the clubs X and Y. Give X and Y, both being active presently, and one of them being one of Europe’s top clubs (Part points for either).

14  The idlisare cooked and dried using infrared radiation at a temperature of 700º C, and then further dried by microwaving. The moisture is zapped out of them, but not the taste, smell or nutrients. The idlis and sambhar are to be eaten after adding hot water; the coconut chutney needs only cold water. Each idli is 12 gm and swells to 25 gm when soaked in water. The desiccation makes it impossible for micro organisms like bacteria to grow and increases the idlis’ shelf life to more than a year. The sambhar and chutney are also dried completely with infrared radiation, a technology that has been used in the preparation of food over the past six years or so.
