3. In Billa we conclude an agreement with proven
suppliers and producers and there is an exact
point of the contract, according to which the
delivered goods should be good for
consuming and with a good commercial look.
If they don’t fulfil this we give them this
goods back. So the scrapping boils down to
minimum.

4. The main reasons for scrapping on a given
good are breaking the integrity of the
packaging and expiring date. There are
certain requirements of the law, according to
which the food has to stay on the shelf for a
definite period of time.

6. We return the wasted products back to the
producers so we don’t have anything to
recycle. But we support such companies.

7. People are guided by the appearance and the
advertising of the product. When the food is
presented wrong or poorly it remains unsold
and after the date of expiry it has to be
wasted .
