This week, the student started a problem solving and experiments PowerPoint presentation after finding the instructions very complicated. They had to build the PowerPoint from scratch with help from Dave, then copied useful information from the instructions PowerPoint to use as a basis. They created slides explaining the practical and theoretical challenges of their research and how to address them. They conducted an experiment on lighting with help from Dave and Brody, taking pictures and making a slide documenting the experiment to include in their presentation. The lighting experiment influenced their ideas by showing how cold blue lighting could be used to create a scary setting for their project.

1. FMP 2 Diary Week 4
This week I started my Problem Solving and Experiments
Power Point after reading through the instructions which I
found very complicated, and without a proper Power Point
it made everything difficult with me not knowing where to
start. I had to build a power point from rock bottom with
help from Dave, then I copy/pasted the most useful
information from the Instructions Power Point to my new
Power Point and I used it as a basis to create a slide about
the challenges I faced during my research. I created two
more slides in charts that explained the practical and the
theoretical problems I would face and how to combat
them. Lastly, I had time for one of three experiments
before I wrote this diary, which was lighting, I got Dave to
teach me the importance of light and then Brody helped
me see how cold blue light can work from different
angles. I then took pictures and made a slide for that
experiment and two more for future experiments. Lighting
has changed/influenced my ideas by me seeing the cold
type of lighting Dave showed me, I can use it to make a
more effect scary setting for my project.
