The 5PM movement advocates for gender justice and empowerment of boys and young men. It operates through workshops and seminars in rural and urban settings using approaches like health programs and networking. The movement targets men in workplaces, communities, churches, schools and colleges. It works to address issues like male violence against women, strengthen gender equality, carry out sensitivity training, and advocate through media engagement. The movement has several programs focused on topics like HIV/AIDS, relationships, schools, and mentoring in areas like work and business.

1. Global Young Men’s Movement a.k.a 5PM
The 5 Ps of Manhood is a movement advocating for gender justice, and boys and young
men’s empowerment in global arenas that operate in both rural and urban settings.
The movement targets men in all settings i.e. workplaces, rural & urban communities,
churches, schools and tertiary institutions. It operates through the formation of what are
referred to as Bootcamps, Workshops, and Seminars, and uses approaches such as health
& wellness programs, weekend & school holidays boot-camps, seminars, communication
and networking, institutional development, lobbying and advocacy within the framework
of the social theory behaviour change models.
