Ulrich Ahle discusses FIWARE, an open source platform for connected industry and smart digital transformation. FIWARE provides a complete reference architecture for smart industry with components like an Orion Context Broker for managing context information, NGSI agents for integrating different data sources, and advanced services for analytics, optimization, and business intelligence. A memorandum of understanding was signed between Industrial Data Space and FIWARE to create an open source implementation of IDS concepts using FIWARE. The speaker addresses positioning the main drivers of industrial IoT, including the Industrial Internet Reference Architecture, RAMI 4.0, Industrial Data Space, and FIWARE, to focus on interoperability.
