The CBTTC supports the research of new prognostic biomarkers and therapies for children with pediatric brain tumors. As part of this research effort, the CBTTC has developed a network of informatics and data applications which allow researchers from across the world to work together to discover cures. “Innovation through collaboration” is made possible by the CBTTC’s state-of-the-art biorepository as well as expertise of leaders in the eld of biomedicine. The CBTTC consists of 17 primary member institutions including: 1) Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, 2) Seattle Children’s, 3) The Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and 4)Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, 5) Benioff Children’s Hospital (UCSF), 6) Stanford University/Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, 7) Meyer Children’s Hospital Florence Italy, 8) Cancer Institute of New Jersey (Rutgers), 9)Weill Cornell Medicine Pediatric Brain and Spine Center, 10) Children’s National Health System, 11) Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center, 12) Children’s Hospital of Orange County: CHOC Children’s, 13) University of California Santa Cruz – Treehouse Childhood Cancer Initiative 14) The Beijing Tiantan Hospital Neurosurgery Center (Beijing, China), 15) Genebank (Beijing Genomics Institute – Shenzhen, China), 16) Dayton Children’s Hospital, and 17) The Hudson Institute of Medical Research (Melbourne, Australia). The operations center of the CBTTC is located at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and integrates genomic and molecular research, biorepository management and support for the informatics platforms of the CBTTC. - 2. 3/29/2018 About CBTTC - Children's Brain Tumor Tissue Consortium https://cbttc.org/about-cbttc/ 2/9 The Children's Brain Tumor Tissue Consortium - One Word Mission The mission of the CBTTC is to nd cures and improve treatments for children diagnosed with brain tumors. To achieve this mission, the CBTTC collects high-quality brain tumor biospecimens and associated clinical data to facilitate the genomic analysis of biospecimens. Cell lines are developed and transplantable tumor models are then created from biopsy specimens. These models allow researchers to share their ndings with other CBTTC member institutions and with the world-wide scienti c community. The CBTTC has established a collaborative multi-institutional tissue and data repository to enable the collection and analysis of the high-quality brain tumor biopsy specimens. In addition to specimen data, the repository also links to clinical data to provide a comprehensive snapshot of each unique tumor. (https://cbttc.org/)
