Crowdfunding has exploded in the past few years as a way to quickly rally a community around a product. It's created a unique opportunity to pitch your story to millions of early adopters. Now, marketers at all levels are adapting this formula to launch all types of products large and small. The best campaigns come from a proven method, and all follow this unspoken format of storytelling. Dive in & dissect what makes each pitch successful. Crowdsource ideas and build a community. In this session, learn the art of crafting the perfect product pitch from a seasoned veteran of nearly 40 crowdfunding campaigns, 14 of which have raised over $1 million.

Creating Presentations That Matter - A 1-day workshop (May 4th) at SVCAshley Bright
There is not excuse for uninteresting, poorly executed and downright bad presentations. In my mind this is simply unacceptable, and something that needs to be rectified.
To that end I taught a 1-Day workshop, this is the second iteration of the workshop, in which I presented this deck along with a series of group exercises.
Please feel free to download and share this as needed. Together we can put an end to this scourge of bad presentations. :-)
Cheers

Merrill Dubrow, President and CEO of M/A/R/C Research, forecasted the future of the industry to over 200 attendees at IIR's Technology Driven Market Research Event in May 2011.
Dialexa hosted Dragon Innovation's Co-Founder and CEO Scott Miller in Dallas to give an overview on how to scale hardware companies. This is the presentation from the event February 5, 2014 at Dialexa's headquarters in Dallas.
Budgets keep video productions in line and on time. But how do you estimate costs when you’re just starting out—or planning a shoot in a new location? Rich Harrington has almost 30 years of experience in video, many of them consulting for clients who needed detailed proposals and budgets to move forward. In this course, he explains the nuts and bolts of budgeting for video production. Learn how to develop professional budgets, quotes, and proposals, and then transform those estimates into invoices. Plus, learn how to split projects with contractors, set payment terms, and make sure the bill is delivered and you get paid.
Learning objectives:
Evaluating outsourcing and partnering options
Setting your rates
Incorporating material and overhead costs
Scoping the project
Estimating the production time
Collecting data with time tracking
Creating a quote or proposal
Setting payment terms
Creating an invoice
Dealing with billing and collections
Five challenges you must deal with as a F2P designerShayan Amiri
As a game designer, there are some challenges you would always face working on F2P games no matter what genre, which target audience group or the size of the project.
Making process improvement results concrete and tangible is not that hard to do and can help quantify measurable results for not just individual projects but for an entire continuous improvement program. Although each organization may support different kinds of savings, we will share a general approach to help you quantify savings for your improvement project including hard and soft dollar savings.
