This document provides a standing operating procedure for fire prevention, fire training, first aid, and post-fire procedures at factories and installations. It outlines important considerations for identifying the cause, type, and risks of accidental fires. The summary also describes appropriate firefighting methods using water or specialized equipment to contain or extinguish fires by cooling the fire triangle of heat, fuel, and oxygen. Personnel are trained on firefighting roles and responsibilities to quickly and safely respond to fires to minimize damages. The procedures aim to reduce risks and prepare the factory for insurance claims if a fire occurs.

Foreword
The intent of this standing operating procedure (SOP) is
designed and compiled for the purpose to give a guideline to persons
serving under this Prestigious Company to fight any accidental fire.
Accidental fire does not give any warning. A factory under
production is consuming lots of power every day and every moment.
Proper maintenance and proactive and regular checking of vital core
of the electric layout will reduce the chance of accidental fire, but do
not assure 100% that there will not be any accidental fire.
Therefore an early preparation to fight any accidental fire and
rehearsal once / twice in a month ( for max of 30 mins) will give
persons a morale strength to fight any accidental fire including
knowing and marrying up of required tasks to be done by the various
party heads. This will generate general awareness amongst all and
reduce substantial damages once things appear. A fire alarm with
nominating the party heads and knowing their task is very much
important in any of the running factory. Setup of a control room in
case of emergency with required T&T number and various agencies
Tel/Cell numbers must be displayed in the control room.
In this booklet an endeavor is taken to provide all information
needed for the company to collect collate information and required
papers for claiming their insurances as ensured by Policy coverage
by our mercantile insurance company ltd. Compile and created with
the noble hope that this booklet will bring some result in the event of
any emergency. It will also be used as ready references.
