1. Areas of Responsibilities
Responsibility I
In Responsibility I, you must identify the health problem first in order to decide what to
do. In health education the problem should be assessing the needs in order to get to the
problem. Applying these steps to what you have learned in health education. To have a
successful program the next step is to find people to support the program that you are
implementing. You would collect all the data that you need primary and secondary data and
analyzed what is the most important data in this community or source that You are working on.
Then find a way that the community could change their behavior or the environment whichever
is appropriate to use.
Responsibility II
The classes of my internship, the classes were funded by a non profit organization. This
program was approved to be a health needs and problems in the community focusing on high
school students. Professional people were appointed that qualified to to do the objectives.
Then all the professional people had a meeting to decide the program planning and how this
program will have a successful outcome. The next process will be to evaluate the students to
see if this program will be effective. The program is 40 days of non violence.
Responsibility III
In the class we implemented a strategy plan that we thought would deliver a successful
message to the students. For example we had the students to draw pictures on a poster
symbolizing a message about non violence, this is to get the students thinking. We monitored
their behaviors on the posters about what they thought about non violence, most students
drew pictures of guns and drugs.
Responsibility IV
My colleagues and I had a meeting to evaluate each grade level in the community by what
was reported by research that students have the most problem. We gather all the information
together and divided it amongst our group. Then we decided that each grade will be assess
differently. Grade sixth through eighth graders will need a different book. We now have Life
Skills Training book specifically for each grade level. This seem to be very effective for our
program. We also agreed to continue to promote each grade with 40 days of non-violence.
2. Responsibility V
My health education program manager has established coalitions that will support this
fiscal year resources 2015. He has been an health education manager about fifteen years. The
health education manager has to evaluate all the strategic planning to support the community’s
need assessments. Our mission statements is to reduce violence amongst young students. This
is the reason our program manager started the 40 days of non-violence Program. The health
educators will give the teachers survey questions after the completion of the program to see if
violence has been reduced by teacher’s reporting.
Responsibility VI
We provided helpful information to the students about violence in middle school 6,7,and
8 grades. Then we are to appoint the students to resources or program that are available to
them regarding violence like anger management classes and schedules and location for where
they can attend classes. We have classes to assist with anger and also self-esteemissues. Most
teenagers have diffuse with their appearance. These classes are to help with these problems.
Responsibility VII
In my internship, I was able to teach the students about non-violence and how to prevent
this from occurring in the future. The students and I was able to discussed their emotions and
how we could try different tactics. We explained how they could control their anger and how to
resolve a problem without violence. We as health educators provided the students with
facilities and classes that they are able to attend in their community about anger management.
We were able to set up some students with anger management classes.
