A Sermon Series by Pastor Todd Foster
Based on the work of Mark Hitchcock
Eph 5:25-27

And you husbands must love your wives with the
same love Christ showed the church. He gave up
his life for her 26 to make her holy and clean,
washed by baptism and God's word. 27 He did
this to present her to himself as a glorious church
without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish.
Instead, she will be holy and without fault. (NLT)

$34,000,000 Wedding!
Part 6, Conclusion:
Here comes the bride, all dressed in ______
Rev 19:7-9

Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For
the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride
has made herself ready. 8 Fine linen, bright and
clean, was given her to wear." (Fine linen stands
for the righteous acts of the saints.) 9 Then the
angel said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who
are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!'"
And he added, "These are the true words of God."
(NIV)
Matt 22:2-3

The kingdom of heaven is like a king who
prepared a wedding banquet for his son. 3 He sent
his servants to those who had been invited to the
banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to
come
Luke 5:34-35

Jesus answered, "Can you make the guests of the
bridegroom fast while he is with them? 35 But the
time will come when the bridegroom will be taken
from them; in those days they will fast."
John 3:27-30

To this John replied, "A man can receive only what
is given him from heaven. 28 You yourselves can
testify that I said, 'I am not the Christ but am sent
ahead of him.' 29 The bride belongs to the
bridegroom. The friend who attends the
bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of
joy when he hears the bridegroom's voice. That
joy is mine, and it is now complete. 30 He must
become greater; I must become less. (NIV)
Really?!?!

(NLT)
Eph 1:4

For he chose us in him before the creation of the
world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
Matt 1:18-19

This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came
about: His mother Mary was pledged to be
married to Joseph, but before they came
together, she was found to be with child
through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph
her husband was a righteous man and did
not want to expose her to public disgrace,
he had in mind to divorce her quietly. NIV
Eph 1:13,14

13 And you also were included in Christ
when you heard the word of truth, the
gospel of your salvation. Having believed,
you were marked in him with a seal, the
promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit
guaranteeing our inheritance until the
redemption of those who are God's
possession-to the praise of his glory.
“….a radiant church,
      without stain
       or wrinkle
  or any other blemish,
but holy and blameless. “
In ancient tradition, as part fo the
   ceremony, the father of the
       bridegroom would say:

“Go son, and get your bride
      and bring her home!”
Matt 25:1

At that time the kingdom of heaven will be
like ten virgins who took their lamps and
went out to meet the bridegroom.
John 14:2,3

In My Father's house are many mansions; if
it were not so, I would have told you. I go to
prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come again
and receive you to Myself; that where I am,
there you may be also.
Rev 19:7

7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him
glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has
come, and His wife has made herself ready."
8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in
fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen
is the righteous acts of the saints.

pain, for the former things have passed
