Boo Boo Facts Boo is a female long haired chihuahua She was born to Applehead Kennels, owner Lana Elswick, from Raceland Kentucky She was born April 15, 2006 She weighed less than an ounce She was the size of a woman’s thumb She had to be fed with an eye dropper because she was too small to nurse Because of her size at birth, it was a miracle she survived Lana knew she had a special dog it wasn’t until later she realized how special

- 4. The papers were filed Lana made an application to the Guinness Book of World Records She was measured for the title on May 12, 2007 This was during the Spring Fling at the Ashland-Boyd County Animal Park Little did anyone know this was Boo Boo start of her fame.

- 6. Boo Boo quickly became a star stealing the hearts of people everywhere Boo Boo and her owner Lana made their first national appearance on the Regis and Kelly Live Show in New York Boo Boo got to meet the actress Eva Mendez and was warmly welcomed by the staff
- 7. Boo Boo Travels on Boo Boos next adventure was to a photo shoot with the World’s Tallest Dog Gibson Though much smaller than Gibson, Boo Boo was not intimidated. They became friends quickly.

- In this presentation you will meet the smallest dog in the world.Though she be small in size she has touched and warmed the hearts of many
- Even though Boo Boo was small when she was born she had determination. Lana knew that this made her dog one special pup. Boo Boo was a true gift from God. Lana knew her Boo Boo was a miracle.
- Knowing that her dog was smaller than the others competing for the title, Lana knew she had to apply.
- Lana filed her application and the time came for Guinness to measure Boo Boo. This event took place in Ashland KY at the Ashland-Boyd Co. dog park. There were honored to have Mr. Jay Stultz, a national dog trainer and the host of the TV show “Good Dog U” on Animal Planet, as a guest speaker.
- After Boo Boo was measured, it took Guinness a few months to officially given her the title. Then It was official Boo Boo, the long haired Chihuahua, measuring 4 inches tall was the new title holder for the World’s Smallest living dog in height.She defeated Ducky, a short haired Chihuahua that measured 4.9 inches in height. She received a letter dated September 10, 2007 from Pamela Schoenhofer, a member of the records management team for Guinness confirming her new title. She received her certificate on September 22, 2007. Since this time the newspapers have followed Boo Boo through her journey.
- Boo Boo was first intimidated by all the lights and sounds, but warmed up quickly on her first television appearance, The Regis and Kelley Live Show. Her appearance sparked interest throughout the world. Lana began to receive calls from everywhere.
- Boo Boo first met Gibson, The World’s Tallest Dog, in New York at a photo shoot for Guinness. Boo Boo later traveled to California for another photo shoot with Gibson. Gibson loved Boo Boo and even gave her a ride on his back.Gibson passed away in August 2009 due to health problems. His successor for the title, George, currently holds the title.
- Boo Boo made a special appearance on theToday Show, on the Plaza.Everyone was amazed by her size.She was also special guest on the Oprah Show with other title holders.All around interest sparked and the calls kept coming in.
- Boo Boos travels extended across the ocean to Italy, where she and others made tapings for Guinness, that would be shown on networks throughout the world, thus adding to her already popularity. Publicity was everyone and she was becoming a star.New York was her next stop, where she did a live taping that was aired throughout Japan.
- Animal Planet has made several videos at Boo Boo’s home. They have been aired on Those Amazing Animals and Dogs 101.
- Regis and Kelly were amazed by Boo Boo’s size. They compared her to a woman’s shoe, which was much larger.
- George has replaced Gibson as Boo Boo’s traveling sidekick. They recently made an appearance together in New York’s Central Park. Journalist from all over the world participated in this press conference.
- Keep your eyes on the news. The world has sparked an impending amount of interest for Boo Boo.
