INTRODUCTION
• The “FixItNow” platform is a comprehensive and innovative solution
designed to address the common challenges users face when searching for
reliable repair and maintenance services.
• The platform connects users who have repair needs—ranging from
plumbing and electrical work to cleaning and appliance repair— with
qualified professionals in their area.
• The platform allows users to post their issues, receive bids from multiple
service providers, communicate directly through in-app messaging,
schedule appointments, and make payments securely.
• This project leverages modern technologies such as React for the
frontend, and Node.js and Express for the backend, with MongoDB as the
database. Advanced features include a dynamic bidding system, secure
payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal), and real-time messaging.
OBJECTIVES
• The main objective of FixItNow is to streamline the process of finding,
hiring, and managing repair and maintenance professionals for various
household and industrial needs.
• By integrating features like secure login, profile management, problem
posting, and a matching algorithm, the platform ensures that users can find
the right professionals for their specific problems, while professionals can
receive job leads suited to their expertise.
• Additionally, the platform aims to simplify communication, scheduling, and
payment processes through in app messaging, calendar integration, and
secure payment gateways. By doing so, it eliminates common pain points for
both users and professionals, such as delayed responses, unclear pricing, and
unorganized job scheduling.

 Lack of Trust: Difficulty in verifying the credentials and reliability of service
providers.
 Time Consumption: The process of finding and contacting multiple professionals to
compare services and prices can be lengthy.

their area, reducing their ability to choose the best option.
