This document describes the geology of Aliaga, North Spain by providing details on the stratigraphy and lithology of six geological formations in the area. The formations from oldest to youngest are:
1) The Camarillas Sandstone Formation, consisting of calcareous sand and shell fragments with a thickness that is undetermined.
2) The Palomar Limestone Formation, made up of carbonate mud and fossils with bed thickness ranging from 50cm to 200cm.
3) The Utrillas Marl Formation, containing interbedded carbonate sands and mudstones with coal seams and gypsum crystals in beds 20cm to 200cm thick.
