1.Open the program2.Double click the sofware icon to
start Filmora9. That will open the "get-started"
window,where there are 3 ways or you to proceed: the
Project Library, Open Project and NewProject.

4. • Project LibraryIn the Project Library, you will see your most
recent projects ordered by the dates they werelast. Double click
on a project to open it. You can also delete projects by clicking
the Trashicons on the right side o the window.Typing a project
name in the search bar is another way you can nd a speci c
project.

(.wfp files) saved on your computer.
• New Project Select an aspect ratio from the dropdown and then
click on New Project to enter the editing interface and begin a

including video clips, photos,and music. It also houses
transi ons, e ects, and a variety o other assets thatyou
can use in your projects

the Timeline. The posi onO the playhead is shown
in the me code in the lower right corner. You can enter
anew me code to jump to a speci c point in the video.

9. Toolbar: The Toolbar provides easy access to many edi
ng commands. You can zoomin and out on the Timeline
and access a variety o tools like "cut" and "speed"

New Project
. You can customize the resolu on, aspect ra o,and
rame rate o the project by going to
File >Project Se ngs.

16. Import Videos, Images, or Audio
There are 3 ways to import media les into Filmora.
Method 1

Click File > Import Media
. Choose Import Media Files, Import a Media
Folder,Import rom a Camera or a Phone, or Import with
Instant Cu er Tool

20. Dele ng Clips from Timeline
:To delete a single video clip or other piece o media
rom your meline, right click onthe media in your meline
and select Delete, select the clip and hit the Delete icon in
thetoolbar, or select the clip and press the Delete key on
your keyboard.To remove mul ple video clips or other
pieces o media, press and hold CTRL, then selectthe
target les. When you are done selec ng, let go o
CTRL and delete the items usingthe delete icon, the
delete key on your keyboard, or by right-clicking and selec
ng delete.
21. 5.Trim Video Clips
I you need to trim rom the beginning or end o a video
clip (or other piece o media),hover your mouse over the
lef or right edge o the clip in your meline un l the
trimtoolshows. Then, click and drag the edge o your clip
orwards or backwards to trim o the unwanted por on.
I you need to cut out a sec on in the middle o a video
clip, drag the playhead to the startpoint o the unwanted
sec on and press the scissors icon to split the clip, then
drag theplayhead to the end o the unwanted sec on
and press the scissors again. Now that theunwanted sec
on is on its own you can select it and press the delete icon
to remove it.

Joining Videos
The join eature is or when you have several video clips
in a sequence and want tocombine them into one clip. To
join videos clips, place them in the Timeline in the order
youwant them sequen al order and export them as one
video.
7.Copying & Pas ng Video Clips
When you copy and paste clips in Filmora’s meline the
spacing o the clips is kept.You can paste copies o
clip at the end o your video or insert them at the loca on
o theplayhead.
Step 1
: Select one or more clips in the sequence, right-click, and
choose
CopyStep 2
: In the meline, posi on the playhead at the point where
you want to paste a copy o the clips.
Step 3
: Right click and choose
‘paste’.

Preview rendering reduces the preview lag which can
occur when edi ng complex orhigh resolu on projects.
This results in smoother playback. Filmora9 o ers 2 ways
torender your meline preview
9.Manual Render (The Render Bu on)
Click the Render Bu on to begin rendering your meline
whenever this red line appears(as when you add media or
make other changes to your meline).

rom your Computer: Select an audio le that's stored on
your PC and bringit into Filmora9.Click the bu
on above the Media Library panel to browse or audio
les in yourcomputer. When you nd the song or other
audio le you want, select it and import it into the
MediaLibrary. You can also drag and drop audio les into
the Media Library. From there, you can drag anddrop your
audio into an Audio Track in the meline.Here are two
ways you can add music rom the audio library to your
video:
Select a song, right-click, and choose

Drag and drop
the song into the Timeline
28. 4.Split Audio In the meline, move the playhead to the
point in your audio clip where youwant to split it.
Then,right click on the clip and select "Split" or click the
Split
bu on inthe toolbar above the meline.
5.Adjust Audio
To make adjustments to your audio, double click on the
audio clip you want to work on inthe meline to open a
panel with adjustment sliders or volume and pitch. You
can alsoapply Fade in/out e ects and adjust their lengths
here.Another tool you’ll nd in this panel is Denoise,
which is a eature that can removebackground noise
rom your audio clips.For a more advanced audio edi ng
experience, you can also access the Audio Equalizer rom
this panel. You can choose rom presets or make manual
adjustments by clicking‘Customize’.Give it a listen when
you are done and, i you’re not happy with the results,
click Reset tostart over.

30. 6.Mute Video Clip
To mute the audio in a video clip, right click on the clip in
the meline and choose
Mute.7.Detach Audio from Video
You can detach the audio rom a video clip without
changing the original clip. To detachaudio rom video,
right click on the clip and select Detach Audio. The audio
will bedetached rom the video and automa cally placed
in an audio track

1. Adding New TracksTo add a new video or audio track,
click the Plus icon in the lef upper corner o the meline
andthen select Add Video Track or Add Audio Track. The
track will be added.2.To add mul ple tracks at a me,
select Open Track Manager and then enter the number o
tracks that you want to add. In the Track Manager panel,
you can also customize theplacement o the new tracks.

You can even add animated text e ects like
dialog balloons. Cap ons, lower 3rds, sub tles,openers,
and end credits are among the text op ons available
in Filmora.
5. Add Text E ect
Double click on Titles you’re interested in to see what they
look like in the Preview windowbe ore adding them to
your video. To add a tle to your video, drag it rom the
Titles libraryand drop it into the meline panel. You can
also right click on the tle e ect you want andselect
Apply
to add it to the meline

38. Part 5:1.Add Filters/Overlays
In the Media Library, click
E ects
, and then select the lters or overlays that you want to
addto your project.Hover your mouse over the thumbnail o
the e ect you want to use. When you see a plusicon in
the middle, click it. Then e ect will be added to the
meline.Drag the lter/overlay and drop it directly onto the
video clip in your meline that you wantto add it to. E
ects will be applied to the whole video clip this way

40. 2.Remove Filters/Overlays
There are two ways to remove lters or overlays rom
your project.
Select the lter/overlay in the meline and hit Delete
on your keyboard.
Right click on the lter/overlay in the meline and select
Delete rom the menu.
3.Elements & Transi ons
To apply a transi on to a single video clip or image
Drag and drop the video clip or image into the meline.
Go to Transi ons.
Select a transi on and drag it to the beginning or end o
a video clip or image in the meline
41. To change the dura on o a transi on, double click on it
in the meline and then enter a newdura on. You can
also click and drag the start or end point o the transi on
orwards orbackwards within the video clip or image.
The default dura on is 2 seconds.
