7. Setting
• The setting of the film is London 1605, in the Tudor era.
• Tudor times were very hard on the poor as they had no money or land.
• The country was also very dirty as hygiene was low, therefore disease and
illness spread quickly.
• We choose this setting because it portrays how difficult life was for the
people living in London and how an uprising was not unexpected.
• The lighting of the setting will be quite dark as to create a tense/moody
atmosphere. This atmosphere will reflect how the characters feel about
their lives in the film and shows the depressive feeling of the country.
8. Inspiration for our film
We gained inspiration for our film from recent
period drama films like Sherlock Holmes (2009)
and Les Misérables (2012). These both revolve
heavily around the time period in which they are
set and we aim to provide the same amount of
context in our film.
Other older time period dramas include
Titanic (1997) and Braveheart (1995) which
use events from history to progress their
story.
9. Advertisement
Our film we be advertised in large cities/towns on animated
billboards & large company buildings. We will also advertise our
film on public transport like trains, buses, taxis and bus stops as
well as radio advertisement and trailers on the internet and
social media.
