People like to label others because it makes them feel better and they
only judge what is on the outside. Racism, blonde women are dumb,
clothing – girls with short skirts, goths with shaved hair, boys with baggy
jeans etc.

2. How does stereotyping damage people? Give one example from the
debate that we had.



Damages them mentally, it can lead to bullying. One example was the
London riots young people were blamed for looting etc. Actually only one
quarter were under 18

Clothing categories people into a certain group. If you are out with you’re
mates and you are making a lot of noise, adults
