This document outlines the requirements for creating 5 file folders summarizing sections from a history textbook. Each file folder must include 8 facts about the assigned section in complete sentences, as well as a summary of 2-3 paragraphs explaining the significance and impact of the section in relation to the rise of democratic ideas. Students must also include 5 multiple choice questions about the section with answers, as well as a picture illustrating the key topics. Completing all 5 file folders with the required elements is worth a total of 100 points.

1. Sample File Folder  title of section goes here Facts 1. In this area (5pts) you need to include a minimum of 8 important facts from the section noted in your history book. These facts need to be in complete sentences. You are making 5 file folders total. Each of the 5 file folders will be based off the assigned chapter sections: 2.File Folder # 1- Prologue, Section 1: Legacy of Ancient Greece and Rome pages 5-11 3. File Folder # 2- Prologue, Section 2: Judeo-Christian Tradition pages 12-17 4. File Folder # 3- Prologue, Section 3: Democracy Develops in England pages 18-23 5. File Folder # 4- Prologue, Section 4: The Enlightenment and Dem. Revolutions pgs 24-29 6. File Folder # 5- Chapter 6, Section 4: The American Revolution pages 206-211 7. Each file folder is worth 20 points. The entire collection of 5 file folders is worth 100 points . 8. This can be typed or handwritten. If handwritten it cannot be in pencil and must be neat. Due: 8/27 (odd) Summary  In this section you will summary the section as a whole. What was significant about this section, what impact did it have in the world, and how did it tie into our theme of, “The Rise of Democratic Ideas.” This summary portion is worth 5 points. The summary has to be a minimum of 8 sentences, between 2-3 paragraphs. The summary should fill up this entire section. Make sure the information you are summarizing is important. Do not plagiarize from the book. Your summary should be in your own words.

2. Questions and Answers  In this section you will create a minimum of 5 multiple choice from the section. When creating questions and multiple choice options remember to not make the answers so obvious. You also need to provide the answer to the question. 5 points possible for this section.
