Fiji is an archipelago of over 300 islands located in the South Pacific Ocean. It has a total land area of around 18,300 square kilometers, though around 110 islands are permanently inhabited. The two largest and most populated islands are Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, which together are home to about 87% of Fiji's population. The capital and largest city of Fiji is Suva, located on the island of Viti Levu where around three-quarters of Fijians live along the coasts.
