My presentation is about the prison life for both officers and inmates. The Pro's and Con's to both lives! About Americas goal to create better people and a better America!

2.  In 1829, in the common wealth of Pennsylvania a defined prison was
built to create genuine regret. Abandoning Corporal Punishment and
Ill Treatment! A group of well known powerful Philadelphians decided
to bring forward the need of prisons. Eastern State Penitentiary
Proponents of the system believed that the criminals exposed to
thoughts of their behavior would become genuinely “penitent.” Thus
the word Penitentiary.

3. “Working in a prison is a specialist job that requires great integrity and strength of character.
In order to make this career work for you, it is important to enter it with an open mind and a
humane approach. Working in a prison is not a wise career move if the thought of having
power and authority attracts you, because those are the wrong kinds of motivation, and you
will probably end up doing more harm than good. Prisoners can be influenced in positive or
negative ways by the approach that the prison staff take with them. Likewise, prison staff
can be influenced by the prisoners in their care.”

governments Vision Statement why is this going on inside prisons?

10. Thoughts about Inmates
Living a life as an inmate is not what everybody else is
going to make it, its what your going to make it! Only
you can reevaluate your life and make corrections. There
are only limitations but not impossibilities!

11. Living as a Wardens Daughter an a Inmates wife, I have no real
Controversy with either side. I believe Individuals are the flaws
inside and outside the system. I believe many government
employees that work in the Prison system intentions are
fair, however are unaware of the intensity of their job, then change
begins. Inmates on the other hand enter the prison with a pre-
judgmental thought, preparing themselves physically and
mentally not only against other inmates but also government
employees . I trust if we were able to focus back on our main
intentions to guide, instruct and allow inmates to be “penitent”
we may have fewer reoccurring offenders, less violence against
prisoners and guards, and a greater understanding of Life on both
sides.
