         I found the arranged seminars on Taiwanese
history and culture to be helpful, particularly those
focusing on uniquely Taiwanese topics such as
minority culture and the divide between ‘blue’ and
‘green’ parties in Taiwanese politics. These seminars

                                                                                                   form my lasting impression of Taiwan.
