Fear is a basic human emotion that is programmed into the nervous system and functions as an instinct to protect us from threats and danger. Some common fears include fear of failure, death, public speaking, snakes, and mother-in-laws. Fear can have both positive effects like keeping us healthy and pushing us beyond our limits, as well as negative effects like acting as a prison for the mind and stealing our peace. The top three biggest fears found around the world according to a Gallup poll are snakes, public speaking, and mother-in-laws. Some ways to overcome fear include identifying the specific fear, eradicating negative thoughts, allowing change, and relaxation techniques.
"the color of night," Eiseman said, "the color of darkness. The color that conceals all."We fear what we cannot see.
."Prehistorically, people would have been more at risk of being attacked by predators or by enemies when in the dark. Through evolution, humans have therefore developed a tendency to be scared of darkness.”
"In the dark, our visual sense vanishes, and we are unable to detect who or what is around us. We rely on our visual system to help protect us from harm," Antony said.
"Being scared of the dark is a prepared fear."Eiseman agreed that "the unknown" is an inherent association that humans make with the color black, as It prevents them from seeing distinct shapes and veils potential threats.
Though fear is natural, it may become an issue if it gets excessive,
This excessive fear can then become a phobia -- specifically known as nyctophobia -- when it begins interfering with relationships, work or the ability to do things they want to do, unable to leave their house at night.
Examples from research done for the ministry of defence and what we can learn...Egon Beaart
A large study that I have done at the Ministry of Defense in the Netherlands shows that many employees have the fear to be daring themselves. Solving this problem is to appeal to your personal leadership and listen to your inner voice. Specifically dare to be yourself and from there help others to dare to be themselves. This requires courage and a little support. Presentation given for the World Institute of Action Learning during the International Congress in Amersfoort in the Netherlands on 27 September

When it comes to pedagogy, our sometimes-limited imagination can hinder our attempts to facilitate learning and engage students. This talk will explore the ways in which creative educators from around the world are igniting their creativity and heightening student learning. Approaches drawn from cognitive psychology, such as retrieval practice, will be discussed. Finally, the importance of collective care and empathy will be stressed. The presenter has produced over 350 episodes of the Teaching in Higher Ed podcast and takes inspiration from the world-class educators she has had the honor of speaking to weekly over the past seven years.

I designed this presentation to raise awareness on anxiety and depression, including other mental health issues.
We are facing a global crisis on mental health and people aren't talking about it nearly enough. Employers also aren't aware of the many stresses that modern life places on some of their staff.
They need to take mental health more seriously in the workplace.
This presentation is dedicated to JewWario, Justin Carmical who committed suicide only recently. He was suffering from depression.

Welcome to the Program Your Destiny course. In this course, we will be learning the technology of personal transformation, neuroassociative conditioning (NAC) as pioneered by Tony Robbins. NAC is used to deprogram negative neuroassociations that are causing approach avoidance and instead reprogram yourself with positive neuroassociations that lead to being approach automatic. In doing so, you change your destiny, moving towards unlocking the hypersocial self within, the true self free from fear and operating from a place of personal power and love.
