Turkey - the powerhouse bridging east and west
Situated on the brink of Europe and the edge of Asia, Turkey has taken advantage of its strategic position while managing to avoid both the slump to its west and the strife to its east.
But its booming economy has led to an electricity demand that is growing at a rate second only to China's, and the country is currently importing 75% of its energy at a cost of € 60 billion per year.
Turkey is looking to wind energy to cut its import dependence, create employment and help its economy to keep expanding.

IV-olut päivittäistavarakauppaan
Jakelutien muutos laskisi IV-oluen vähittäismyyntihintaa 25 prosenttia ja kaikkien alkoholijuomien vähittäismyyntihintaa 3,8 prosenttia. Hinnan laskun seurauksena IV-oluen osuus vähittäismyynnin arvosta kasvaisi kahdesta prosentista (vuosi 2010) 24 prosenttiin. III-oluen laskisi 41 prosentista 23 prosenttiin. Oluen matkustajatuonnin arvo puolittuisi noin 100 miljoonasta eurosta. Väkevien alkoholijuomien osuus vähittäismyynnin arvosta laskisi 25 prosentista 21 prosenttiin.
Alkoholijuomien vähittäismyyntihinnan lasku, matkustajatuonnin väheneminen ja oluen vähittäiskulutuksen painopisteen siirtyminen litroissa mitattuna korkeammin verotettavaan IV-olueen lisäisivät valtion alkoholiverotuloja 54 miljoonaa euroa (4,9 %).
Absoluuttialkoholin kokonaiskulutuksen arvioidaan kasvavan kolme prosenttia. Koska alkoholijuomien kulutuksen painopiste siirtyy väkevistä alkoholijuomista oluisiin, alkoholijuomien haittakulutuksen arvioidaan kasvavan ainoastaan vajaat kaksi prosenttia.

Inspired Style: PANTONE
HOTEL Opens in Brussels
www.pantone.com/spring2011
World travel often serves as inspiration for design,
and this season we asked designers to dig deep into
their travel journals to tell us which city or location they
consider the most colorful in the world. Designers
responded with many rich, vibrant color stories –
from distant lands like Turkey, India and Morocco,
to places that are a bit closer to home, like New York
and Los Angeles.
Pantone is inspired by travel as well, and recently
announced the opening of the first PANTONE HOTEL
in Brussels, a city rich in design. Located near
Avenue Louise, a bustling shopping district dotted
with designer boutiques, the PANTONE HOTEL is
perfect for travelers who like their lodgings to be
stylish and comfortable. The HOTEL boasts a chic,
colorful design with each floor highlighting a specific
PANTONE Color. Guests can relax and enjoy a color-
themed cocktail in the PANTONE BAR or take in
Brussels’ architecture from the rooftop patio.
