Sarah Gandapur’s
elite TBCW 2015
collection was in-
spired by the roy-
al darbars of the
sub continent. She
managed to infuse
eternal sophistica-
tion with chic mod-
ernism through her
dresses. The collec-
tions by Sarah Gan-
dapur had tilla work
embellishments.
Also there were
sleeveless shirts and
lehenga cholis.
The fashion models
wore maatha pattis
too. It must be high-
lighted that all the
bridal outfits looked
sizzling.
The national dress
from across the
border took promi-
nence in Sarah Gan-
dapur’s collection.
Taking this sensu-
ous ensemble, she
experimented with
the sari in a bid to
offer something dis-
tinctive but largely
failed to make a
huge impact though
she did manage to
deliver some knock-
out looks as well.

GIRLY SANDALS TO
WEAR THIS SUMMER 2015
You likely have a couple of these sets as of now from our spring shoe pattern guide, yet we’ve
got some more styles that you’ll likely need to add to your closet.
Whether you’re
into an announce-
ment making
fighter or custom-
ary flip slump,
there’s a couple
for each event
you have gotten
ready for the hot-
ter months. From
thick mid-heels to
energetic shoes,
read on to find out
about what open
toe styles you can
browse this season.
At that point look
at our slideshow to
shop for them all
and begin plan-
ning those stan-
dard pedicures.
GLADIATOR:
Odds are just a couple of us customers will
choose the knee-high form (and in the event that
you do, get it, young lady!), so we propose go-
ing for a style that hits comfortable lower leg or
even up to the base of your calf. Wear them with
shorts, a sun dress, or slip them under your thin
pants.
FLIP FLOPS:
In the event that mold tennis shoes are a thing,
then consider the conventional flip flounder the
following shoe thing to get an originator over-
haul.
33
With cooperation outlines by Valentino and Mara
Hoffman, the Brazilian shoe brand Hawaiians are
on move at keeping their mainstream flip floun-
ders a long way from being a design violation of
social norms.
ONE STRAP HEEL
This specific style is for those up and coming un-
hitched female gatherings, summer weddings, and
women’s evenings, you’ve added to your calendar.
The shoe you’ll likely combine with both your
large number of cool dresses and mixed drink
clothing outfits. Be that as it may, don’t undermine
the adaptability of this hot stiletto; they impecca-
bly spruce up some beau pants or printed track
pants.
FOOTBED
Another 90’s staple that advanced once again into
our lives. Because of our recollections of easily
brandishing Birkenstocks all through our teen
years, we at long last have motivation to wear
them once more. What’s more, if Birks were never
your thing however regardless you need a shoe
that is tough and cozy, there’s a huge amount of
distinctive flatbed styles that you’ll need to wear.
MINI WEDGE
Not with standing the thick heel, there’s likewise
this form of a shoe that includes stature without
losing solace. Settle on an announcement making
style like a metallic pastel pink or a bare and-white
shading comb.
Wear
White
Jeans for
SummerWhite has dependably been a definitive warm climate shading
and for summer, we’re cherishing outfits that have touches of
white all around. This year, one of the pieces taking all import-
ant focal point is white pants. It’s not another pattern, by any
methods.
They’ve been around for a long while now and they’ve generally
been a staple for spring and summer yet all the more so amid
summer.
White pants are extraordinary to work with on the grounds that
they run well with everything without exception. It’s similar to
having a clear peddle where you can showcase awesome pieces
against.
Here are some valuable tips on the most proficient method to
wear white pants for summer and look chic in all of them sea-
son long.
1. THICK GOOD QUALITY MATERIAL:
The main problem with wearing white pants is that it makes
panty lines more noticeable. To avoid this discomfort, go for the
best thick quality fabric that makes you covered properly with
less visibility. You can also wear seamless underwear to stay
away from this problem.
2. MONOCHROMATIC WHITE OUTFIT:
Monochromatic white outfits are the latest trend for spring and
summer and have a slimming effect. It makes you look thinner
and taller so it’s great if you’re petite.
35
3. CHUNKY BRIGHT
PRINTS:
Since white is so plain and essen-
tial, its verging on basic that you
match it up with something fun,
energizing and fascinating like
cool summer prints and strong
tints. Pick prints that come for
entertainment only and dynam-
ic hues. They’re certain to pop
against the plain white pants
which kind of go about as a clear
solicit where you can showcase
prints.
4. NEUTRALS:
White is a neutral color that easily blends with everything. The other neutral colors like black,
beige, and tan goes well with white. Wearing white jeans with other neutral pieces to create a
look that perfectly embodies the minimalist trend.
5. SUMMER CASUAL OUTFIT:
Need a quick casual look for summer? Wear your white jeans with a chambray shirt or a tank
top with a denim jacket on top and you’re all set for the day. It’s such an easy outfit that’s sure
to give you that instant summer vibe in your look. Add other summer accessories into the
mix like a chic hat or a cute bucket bag to go all out on your summer casual look.
MAKEUP TIPS FOR
BROWN EYESFor the brown peered toward gals
out there, there are such a variety
of decisions when it boils down
to making the ideal eye cosmetics
look. Since brown doesnt have a
corresponding or inverse shad-
ing on the shading wheel, pretty
much any eye cosmetics shading
will match well with chestnut
eyes.
In the event that you are search-
ing for eye cosmetics tips for
brown eyes, look no further. One
fortunate thing about brown eyes
is that they look great with pretty
much any eye shadow shading,
from light to dull.
Contingent upon your shade of
chestnut, there are sure hues that
will supplement your look supe-
rior to anything others. Look at
these tips straight from the cos-
metics craftsman stars.
Since most eye shadow hues func-
tion admirably with brown eyes, a
standout amongst the most crit-
ical steps while taking after eye
cosmetics tips for chestnut eyes is
to figure out what shade of chest-
nut you have. On the off chance
that you have profound chestnut
eyes that can be mistaken for
dark, in a perfect world you need
to go for eye cosmetics hues in the
medium to dull scope of hues.
41
Medium brown eyes
look great with pretty
much any shading,
particularly green,
while light chestnut
eyes look great with
hues, for example, light
yellow that draw out
the brilliant bits.
Remember that light-
er hues bring out and
boost the span of your
eyes, while darker hues
minimize and form.
Another of the more
vital eye cosmetics
tips for chestnut eyes
is to consolidate dull
eyeliner with lighter
eye shadow so as to
underscore your eyes.
For dull chestnut eyes,
medium to dim eye
shadow shades will
function admirably
with your shading.
Plum, dull green and
rich grays are all in-
credible shading de-
cisions. Make certain
to inspect the bits of
lighter shading in your
eyes to choose a suit-
able eyeliner shading.
Preceding applying
your eye shadow shad-
ing, it is imperative to
recall that you have to
apply an eye cosmetics
base first keeping in
mind the end goal to
make a smooth surface
for the eye shading to
hook on to.
Doing as such will help your eye cosmetics look last more, and it will
keep your shadow from bunching around your eyes. You ought to
choose an eye base shading that is near to your skin tone and spread
over the eye top region with either an eye shadow brush or your fin-
gers.
One imperative eye cosmetics tip is to dependably begin lighter. It is
much simpler to layer shading and apply more than it is to evacuate
overabundance eye shadow. Abstain from applying more profound
hues to your forehead bone territory unless you are searching for an
additional sensational look. You can, on the other hand, apply more
unbiased hues to the temples bone for a lighter day look.
For an ordi-
nary straight-
forward look,
include shad-
ing into your
wrinkle (most
of the way to
your eyebrow,
and mix up-
ward. You can
likewise apply
darker eye
hues on the ex-
ternal corner
of your eyes in
an even.

Bridal
Mehndi
Designs
for 2015
Mehndi not only enhances the bridal beauty but also makes
our culture depict in the most wonderful way. The trend for
2015 regarding bridal mehndi is mostly that young and new
brides are not preferring heavy designs on their hands.
They like to emphasize more on their jewelry and clothes,
not to mention the makeup. In order to keep all these things
in mind and choose a particular kind of mehndi design is no
doubt tricky, but we have tried to solve your problem by com-
ing up with highly unique and trendy designs for mehndi so
that it is traditional and contemporary at the same time.
Here are some of the gorgeous top bridal mehndi designs.
Arq Mehndi (Paisleys) Design:
The most adored design in mehndi is the paisleys design and
it is something that never goes out of fashion. It normally can
work with any kind of bridal dress and makes the hands look
really delicate and pretty. Arq mehndi is a relatively new con-
cept but it is rapidly being accepted and people arrange for the
application of this kind of syringe mehndi quite often.
Mehndi is something
almost all girls love and
there is no denying the
fact that a desi traditional
bride is totally incom-
plete without mehndi.
45
Arabic Mehndi Design:
Another one of the Top Brid-
al Mehndi Designs for 2015
is the Arabic design. People
with relatively heavier looks
on their bridal day go for this
kind of mehndi as it goes very
well with this kind of look. Ar-
abic mehndi can also be made
a theme for a certain event for
the wedding as well. It looks
extremely royal and unique.
Glitter and Two Toned
Mehndi Design:
This one particular kind of
mehndi is not so new and
is least preferred by young
brides. But, in our opinion it
can look extremely gorgeous if
it is worn in the best possible
way.
Functions like walima or
engagement ceremony are
best for applying this kind of
mehndi as usually, the brides
wear pastels and subtle colors
on these occasions. There is
no denying the fact that this
particular design of mehndi is
rather tricky and one needs to
be extremely careful in mak-
ing the right choice of design.
The above mentioned Top Bridal Mehndi designs for 2015 are
simply gorgeous. If you have wedding functions lined up, our
wish is that you try and follow all of these in the wedding func-
tions and flaunt your style. The best part about all these 2015
bridal mehndi designs is that they can be applied not just on
hands but on your feet too, without making them look hideous.
Black Mehndi Design:
Instead of going for the tradition ma-
roon color of the mehndi, there is a
new kind of mehndi design available in
market now. It is the black mehndi that
is being preferred this wedding season
by many new brides.
The black mehndi looks extremely mod-
ern and is easy to take off too as it peels
off after a day or two on its own. The
color black is highly unique and high on
our preference list for Top Bridal Mehn-
di Designs of 2015.
Health Benefits
of Black and
Green Tea
Everyone is familiar with tea; most of us are
tea addicted. Although the perception about
tea is that it has diverse effects on the health
of the humans, one can be guided by the fact
that excess of everything is bad and results in
negative impact. So we have to avoid having
excessive tea.
There are plenty of health benefits that
emerge from making tea our daily routine.
We all are aware that there are various types
of teas. The most common types of teas are
black tea and green tea.
Here we will be sharing a few of the benefits
drinking these types of teas.
Black Tea and its Benefits
Less Caffeine:
The people who are caffeine addict and take
lots of coffee as it has the major caffeine con-
tent, it is better for them to include tea as a
part of their daily routine.
It is an alternate or replacement of coffee, but
the benefit of adding tea instead of coffee is
that it has less caffeine content present. Then,
having the quality of tea also matters. Choos-
ing the best companies for the quality of tea
will give them caffeine satisfaction, the one
their body craves for.
47
Removed Clots:
Clotting cause’s heart attacked and leads to
sudden deaths. To prevent such a critical and
life threatening heart disease better to add
tea in your daily routine. It helps in removing
the small clots that may occur in the body,
causing the barrier in the blood flow. As per
the surveys conducted in various areas of the
world, the people having two to three cups
of tea are less prone towards the fatal heart
attacks than to the people who do not take
black tea. Hence, black tea is a life agent too!
Prevents Diabetes:
Diabetes is known as the
house of diseases, it lowers
the immune system of the
body. Diabetes is one of the
major cause of death. How-
ever, due to the advance-
ment in the sciences, the
death rate has gone far be-
low than the previous rate.
Green tea helps in reducing
the diabetes. It actually helps
in maintaining the sugar
level in the body. Taking a
cup of green tea after every
meal is best practice.
Reduces Stress and
Weight:
Drinking green tea helps
in weight reduction. It is
beneficial for dealing with
stress and anxiety that
most people suffer from.
Green tea is best to be had
on a daily basis. This is
bound to prove fruitful for
the human body. It controls
the enzymes that cause
stress and depression. It
also controls the formation
of fats. Hence, you tend to
get smarter.
Detoxification:
This is one of the important facts
that the green tea presents. It is
detoxifying agent. It helps to expel
out the toxins that causes dullness
in the skin and complexion. It en-
ables to give shine to the teeth and
also prevents tooth decay. It helps
in making the immune system
better, hence, body gets resistant
to germs. It enables to regulate the
digestive system to function in
smooth manner. Taking black and
green tea has bunches of benefits,
but one should take the balanced
amount of tea for good results.
Helps in Strengthening the Bones:
This is one of the most interesting facts that
people are aware of. The misconception is that
tea kills the calcium level of the bones, how-
ever it is false! Tea helps in building up the
calcium level hence, making the bones strong
and prevents arthritis. The studies shows that
people having more tea have strong bones
that the tea avoiders. It is the not only the
milk ratio in the tea that builds up the calci-
um level, but the tea leaves that helps in mint-
ing the calcium.
Benefits of
Prenatal Yoga
Yoga builds strength:
“One of the best things about yoga is it makes you stronger all over,” says Santa Monica YogaWorks in-
structor Julie Jacobs. You’ll need that strength in your lower body to carry the added pregnancy weight and
compensate for changes in balance. And you’ll need it in your upper body to handle the weight you’ll be
carrying around for the year or so after birth… your baby!
49
Yoga helps relieve aches and
pains:
Back pain is a common pregnancy
complaint, often worsening as the
weight of the uterus (and the baby in it)
increases. Prenatal yoga strengthens the
muscles that support this weight, taking
pressure off the lower back.
Many women experience irritation of
the sciatic nerve during pregnancy,
and yoga can also be great for this. The
pigeon pose and half-moon pose can
stretch this area to relieve pain, and
inversions can help make space in the
pelvis to lessen irritation.
Yoga teaches you to breathe:
Breathing exercises can be incredibly helpful
during pregnancy for calming and centering
purposes, and to maximize oxygen flow when you
need it.
Breath control is an invaluable asset for pain man-
agement in labor and birth, especially for those
hoping to forego medical pain relief options.
Yoga teaches balance
As weight and body shape changes,
pregnant women can feel wonky and
wobbly. Balancing asanas, like the tree
pose and the half-moon pose, help
women get comfortable with their
changing center of gravity, while poses
like the downward dog and the warrior
will help stretch and strengthen the
muscles required to counterbalance the
big belly.
Yoga helps you open your hips for childbirth:
Not only does yoga make your body stronger all over (a huge
asset in childbirth), but as your pregnancy progresses, your prac-
tice can be tailored to focus more directly on birth preparation.
Squats and other hip-opening poses can help your baby get into
position and help with pushing. Some yoga teachers will work
directly with women in the end of the last trimester to give them
tools to cope with pain and ease childbirth.
Yoga relieves anxiety:
The attention to breathing, the calm atmosphere and music, and the stretching and relax-
ation can really help turn down the noise in your head. Yoga is about being in the moment
and letting everything else fall away for the time being. That break from the bustle can help
with anxiety about health, birth, or anything else there is to do or worry about.
Yoga helps
you bond with
your baby:
The focus on
staying in the
moment can serve
another important
purpose. Prenatal
yoga gives moms a
heightened ability
to connect with
the experience of
being pregnant
in the here and
now, and bond
with their babies.
It’s easy to lose
that feeling in the
hubbub of the ev-
eryday, so having a
dedicated time to
relax and connect
can be a real gift
— the echoes can
last a lifetime.
Yoga is a great way to meet other
moms:
Prenatal exercise classes are one of the best ways
to meet moms who are also at your stage in preg-
nancy.
As you transition to a new phase of your life,
having a supportive network of women who un-
derstand what you’re going through is incredibly
helpful.
Yoga teaches
you how to
rest on
command:
“Nap when the
baby naps.” You’ll
hear this advice
dozens of times
during and after
pregnancy. The
takeaway is that
sleeping when
you’re tired is not
necessarily part
of your new
normal. Instead, you’ll have to learn to rest when the opportunity presents itself. Savasana,
the relaxation pose that comes at the end of any yoga class, is often adapted to a side-lying
or semi-reclining pose in prenatal yoga. But the benefits are the same. Learning to quiet
your mind and body and get rest when you can will serve you well when your sleep sched-
ule is out of your control.
Yoga encourages confidence:
Unfamiliar feelings and uncomfortable side effects often result in a general sense of unease
with your body during pregnancy. Seeing the power of your own body in a room full of
other powerful
pregnant women can
be great positive
reinforcement.
And your yoga
instructor’s words of
wisdom can help
remind you of your
inner strength.

it as sustenance for your face. It decreases the
danger of post-shave disturbance further-
more helps in keeping up the skin’s pH equal-
ization. It’s only a straightforward demon-
stration of utilizing a cream. In this way that
your face turns into not as much as a battle-

need to do a reversal to the fundamentals.
The new-age five razor sharp edges in your

Men’s
Fashion
Trends for
Spring/
Summer
2015
The changing of seasons
is often met with mixed
emotions, happiness giv-
en the warmer weather,
but also the woes of tran-
sitional dressing. Spring
weather is quite unpre-
dictable and with it comes
the internal debate of how
and what to wear with the
extreme overload of in-
formation from fashion
week highlights, especially
when each immediately
precede the other. Below
is a concise list of recur-
ring and up-and-com-
ing spring/summer 2015
trends to set you on the
right path.
Lightweight Bomber Jackets:
The fluctuation in temperature is per-
haps the most difficult to deal with when
it comes to transitional dressing. Now,
there needn’t be any negative conno-
tations around with the word jacket as
fabrics used are more lightweight than
ever. A bomber jacket style is the best of
both worlds as it is just the right length
and keeps in tune with the SS15 trends.
65
Printed Tees:
Minimalism is great, but some-
times there’s a need for variety. It
also falls neatly in line with the
fact that spring and summer en-
courages us to be more adventur-
ous and therefore our style should
follow suit. Printed tees allow us
to bring out our personality in
our look, whether that’s through
large graphic blocks which can
strengthen a look or scattered flo-
rals and all over prints which can
show off a bit of playful character.
Denim, Lots of It:
It’s the fabric that will
never go out of fashion as
it has been identified with
all types of social group-
ings and eras, miners to
the Wild West and a sym-
bol of youth rebellion in
the 1950s. It’s evolved so
much over time in terms
of different washes, fin-
ishes and fits. But wearing
denim can also provide
a deliberate contrast to
any outfit, making it a
statement piece or simply
a base on which to build
the rest of your outfit.
Indigo Blue:
Colours always incite a
certain kind of feeling
and perhaps blues remind
us of the summer days.
Or maybe it’s because
it’s the easiest colour to
match? Whatever it is,
blue has been ubiquitous
in spring/summer mens-
wear collections. Like
the colour grey, there
are about 50 shades and
more of blue to choose
from: cadet blue, powder
blue and dazzling blue are
all easy-to-wear options
and are sure to transform
your spring wardrobe.
Abdominal Workouts for Men
Before you begin, keep in mind the brilliant abdominal muscle workout principle: quality
over amount. It’s a myth that 2,000 quick paced crunches a day will abandon you with a wash-
board stomach.
Holland suggests that, as opposed to tearing through the movements, you back off for more
successful results, building up to 30 second arrangements of value crunches. So now, we intro-
duce five altogether different abdominal muscle pulverizing activities your out from exhaust-
ing floor crunches:
1). Plank crunch:
Begin in a conventional board position with your lower arms on
the ground and your body consummately straight. Display your
right knee towards your right elbow, then come back to the board
position. Rehash by bringing your left knee toward your left el-
bow. That is one rep. Substitute sides for an aggregate of 10 com-
plete reps. The board is essentially one of the main activities where
you’re getting your whole center. You’re working the front and back
of your stomach territory in the meantime with no gear. You’re get-
ting your rectus abdominis, your obliques, and your lower back. It’s
so straightforward and compelling that you can do it anyplace.
69
2). Rotation:
Stand holding a link with both gives
out before you at simply under shoul-
der tallness. Keeping your arms al-
tered and straight and your abs drew
in, turn your abdominal area to one
side, then back to focus, and afterward
to one side, and after that back to
focus. That is one rep Alternate sides
for one arrangement of 10 complete
reps. This move truly focuses on the
obliques and is games particular, so its
extraordinary for golfers, tennis play-
ers, baseball players, and individuals
who do racquet sports. Make your ac-
tivity as near to the development that
you’re going to do in your game and
you’ll get the greatest increase.
3). Bicycle:
Lie on your back with your hands behind your
head, and your legs raised and bowed at 90
degrees. Interchange sides by bringing your
right elbow towards your left knee then your
left elbow towards your right knee, building up
to 60 seconds. Attempt and hold the smash for
a two-depend on every side to drive a slower,
thought development. With this development
you’re focusing on each of the three key territo-
ries in the meantime. It joins a general crunch,
the side-to-side movement that objectives the
obliques, and the converse crunch that hits the
lower abs.
4). Cross Crunch:
Lie on your back with arms and legs askew out
so that your body shapes a “X.” Keeping arms
and legs straight, bring your right hand towards
your left foot, then your left hand towards your
right foot, lifting your head, neck, and shoul-
ders off the ground. That is one rep. Go for one
complete arrangement of 10 reps. It’s a straight-
forward work out, and you’re protected and
bolstered on the ground. With the legs falling
off the floor, you’re getting your lower abs.
What’s more, on the grounds that you’re having
a go at a point, you’re hitting your obliques and
your rectus abdominis, as well.
BMW 5 Series GT Fuel Cell Concept Review
More importantly, this
concept also features a
new type of hydrogen
storage tank. BMW has
patented the technology
and says it is now confi-
dent that not only is this
new storage method the
way of the future but also
that a ‘hydrogen economy’
is the only way that Eu-
rope can disengage from
fossil fuels over the medi-
um term. BMW has long
experimented with vehi-
cles powered by hydrogen,
with its first experimental
model dating back to
1984. If you have a good
memory, you might recall
the ’Hydrogen 7’, based on
the V12 7 Series and built
in very limited numbers
until 2007.
Changes were made to
the car’s structure, mainly
in terms of crash safety
for the fitting of the hy-
drogen tank and because
the tank is bolted into the
car as an integral part of
the structure. Under the
bonnet sits the fuel cell
stack. Fully dressed with
all the ancillary compo-
nents, it’s about the size
of a conventional big V8.
The core fuel cell stacks
are a Toyota technology,
with BMW supplying the
new hydrogen tank, elec-
tric drive train and high
voltage battery. When
running under a relatively
low load the fuel cell is
65% efficient in turning
the hydrogen fuel into
forward motion.
The car used a relatively conventional
internal combustion engine, which,
partly thanks to BMW’s Valvetron-
ic valve intake system, could run on
both petrol and hydrogen. Since then,
BMW and its hydrogen research went
relatively quiet. The arrival of the first
serious battery-powered production
cars and scepticism about the likeli-
hood of a ‘hydrogen economy’ has,
in recent years, put hydrogen fuel cell
cars on the back foot. In 2013, BMW
and Toyota signed a strategic collabo-
ration on the development of hydro-
gen fuel cell drivetrains. This, BMW
says, “provided fresh momentum
for the development of FCEV drive
technology”. BMW says its big break-
through with this new prototype is in
the hydrogen fuel tank and refuelling
technology. While this concept fuel
cell car looks like a standard BMW
5GT both inside and out, it is very
different under the skin.
71
That’s far better than any internal combustion engine. Under heavy load, however, the effi-
ciency drops to 45%, which is slightly better than a typical turbodiesel engine. The rear wheels
are driven by a 199bhp electric motor via a new two-speed dual-clutch automatic transmis-
sion. A very small 1kWh battery sits above the rear axle. The new storage tank is a huge mul-
tilayer construction. At its core is an aluminium pressure vessel which in turn is wrapped
with a continuous carbonfibre-reinforced plastic filament. This wrapped layer is around 5cm
think. Around that is a radiation shield, and between that and an aluminium casing forming
the outside skin, there is cavity containing a vacuum. The tank’s end caps are aluminium cast-
ings welded into place. Seen in isolation, the new tank looks like a noseless missile of the type
you see hanging from the wings of jet fighters.
The key advance of this 5GT is BMW’s newly patented method of refuelling and storing the
hydrogen fuel. They call the tank a ‘cryogenic pressure vessel’, which is designed to be filled
with hydrogen cooled to
–220deg C.
Super-cooling allows the
tank to hold some 7.1kg
of hydrogen, compared
with just 2.3kg at the
ambient temperature.
BMW’s engineers say
that 7.1kg of hydrogen
equates to a real-world
range of around 434 miles.
The refuelling also takes
around five minutes.
At today’s hydrogen prices,
that’s around £50. Although
this was an early engineer-
ing car, it felt tight and ran
seamlessly. It’s relatively
swift and the handling and
ride is improved over that
of the standard production
model, probably because
bolting the tank into the
structure has improved the
body stiffness. As you might
expect, the car was also im-
pressively refined.
One thing that struck most forcefully while driving was how difficult it will be for BMW’s
engineers to install any sort of individual character into any future fuel cell-powered executive
car. Electrically driven vehicles can all be remarkably similar in the way they drive, which is
smoothly, quietly and briskly. You can’t. BMW and Toyota say they hope to have the full com-
ponents set for a mass-production-capable car ready by 2020. By then the hydrogen refuelling
network should be more advanced, especially in countries such as Japan and Korea.
Luxurious YachtsThe world of mega-yachts offers a much more tantalizing field of absurd en-
tries. After all, there is wealth, and then there is mega-yacht ownership.
Octopus
Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen owns the Octopus, a mega-yacht that
stretches 414 feet long and could easily be mistaken for a cruise ship.
The Octopus has two helipads — and helicopters — a large pool, a
basketball court, and even a pair of small submarines, one of which can actually house eight people for up
to two weeks underwater. But the most outrageous feature of the Octopus is the word that its crew of 60
includes ex-Navy SEALs. Good to see all that expensive government training gone to the cause of mixing
martinis and fluffing pillows for Paul Allen and his guests.
75
Rising SunBillionaires have the same problems as the rest of us. Take Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle: After buying his
mega-yacht, the Rising Sun, he came to that all-too-common conclusion that it was just too big. Been there,
done that. At almost 453 feet long, Ellison should have known he wouldn’t be able to dock it just anywhere,
but that probably didn’t matter. The important thing was that it was the longest when it was built. For a few
months, anyway. Now it’s new owner David Geffen’s problem, a problem that includes nothing phenomenally
outrageous, just a laundry list of impressive amenities. Amenities like a basketball court, eight staterooms, 82
rooms, a decorative stone wall that rises up through the middle of the yacht, a Jacuzzi, a wine cellar, glass and
brushed-chrome staircases, a sitting room with a wood-burning fireplace, curved floor-to-ceiling windows
lining two of the decks, and a crew of 30 to wait hand and foot on Geffen and guests.
The Savarona is the oldest yacht on our list. Despite being thoroughly Turkish, the Savarona was originally
commissioned by the granddaughter of John Roebling, designer of the Brooklyn Bridge. Built in 1931, it is
408 feet long and has a staggering 17 staterooms. A 282-foot-long staircase, highlighted by a solid brass bal-
ustrade, connects the yacht’s shelter deck to its upper deck. An onboard hospital and a crew of more than 40
deliver five-star service, which is only appropriate when you’re chartering it at around $500,000 per week. Yet
the Savarona’s most outrageous feature is its traditional Turkish bath, known as a hammam, made from 260
tons of marble.
Savarona
Guilty
Believe it or not, if you Google “ugliest yacht in the world,” you will not find a
thousand hits pointing to the yacht Guilty, even though in our eyes it’s precisely
what you should find. Guilty, which looks like it was made from a LEGO set com-
memorating The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, is owned by Greek billionaire art collector Dakis Joannou. Its most
outrageous feature is the exterior design, done by contemporary artist Jeff Koons. Koons is famous for kitsch
sculptures, was married to porn-star-turned-politician La Cicciolina, and was the top-selling artist at auction
in 2008, where his work sold for an unfathomable $117.2 million. Maybe you bought one of his full-size por-
celain statues of Michael Jackson getting fresh with Bubbles the chimp. No? Someone did, for over $5 million,
which is its own bit of outrageousness.
The 247-foot-long Mirabella V is a cutter-rigged sloop, making it the only sailing yacht on our list. But its
most outrageous feature — its only outrageous feature, really — nicely symbolizes the current arms race
among the super-wealthy to build the biggest mega-yacht. In addition to a gym, sauna and a dining room
that seats 20, the luxurious Mirabella V is the largest single-mast sailing yacht in the world, equipped with the
tallest mast you’ll find anywhere — a phallic symbol on the ocean waves if there ever was one. The towering
292-foot mast prevents the yacht from fitting under the likes of the Golden Gate Bridge. For this reason, it
keeps to locales in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
Mirabella V
To the uninitiated, the Al Salamah’s design and sheer enormity lead to an inescapable — and incorrect —
conclusion that it’s a cruise ship. At 456 feet long and rising eight decks high, the mega-yacht Al Salamah is
owned by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, who also holds a number of government
posts including that of defense minister. The details of the yacht’s decks and interior remain closely guarded
secrets. Rumors of 80 rooms, indoor swimming pools and an onboard hospital remain just that — rumors.
Precious little has leaked out, despite the yacht’s most outrageous feature (if true): the 96-person crew, likely
the biggest in the world.
In 1998, another Greek
shipping magnate ac-
quired the yacht and
set about to rebuild it
in the style of the orig-
inal, featuring a formal
dining room that seats
40, a massage room and
beauty salon, porcelain
by Bernardaud of Limo-
ges, Waterford crystal by
Rocha and original works
of art by Renoir and Le
Corbusier. However, the
most outrageous feature
is a bronze-bordered pool
inlaid with mosaic frescos
of ancient Crete which, at
the push of a button, rises
to deck level and becomes
a dance floor.
In its heyday, the Christina O was the most famous yacht in the world. The ship
was a Canadian naval frigate that saw action on D-day in World War II, but
Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis turned it into a playground for the
biggest celebrities and most powerful men in the world, from John F. Kennedy
and Winston Churchill, to Liz Taylor, Richard Burton and Marilyn Monroe.
Al Salamah
Christina O
3 AThis is the yacht you get when you search Google for the “ugliest yacht in the world.” Granted, A (yes, that’s
just the letter A) may not be the finest work by world-renowned designer Philippe Starck, but it is his — from
the reverse bow design, to the lavish interior, to the outfits worn by the staff of 35. Built for young Russian
billionaire Andrey Melnichenko, the 390-foot mega-yacht is mysteriously absent of open deck space. Instead,
it’s especially devoted to Andrey, without much in the way of entertaining others. To that end, most outra-
geous is the alleged master suite: a whopping 2,583 square feet, surrounded on all sides by bulletproof glass,
accessed by taking a silver-plated staircase, and accessible only if you can get by the fingerprint scanner.
Qadisiyah Saddam
The Qadisiyah Saddam —
now known as the Ocean
Breeze — was built for its
namesake, Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, so you know right away this thing is not going to be just out-
rageous, but also something of an outrage. Said to be sumptuously decorated with multiple staterooms,
gorgeous salons, solid gold fixtures, indoor pools, saunas, a helipad, and bulletproof windows, the yacht
was built in 1981, at a time when Saddam’s country was at war with Iran (one example among thousands of
Saddam’s selfish and poorly timed abuses of public funds). It’s of little surprise, then, that the yacht is said to
be equipped with a missile launching system (perfect for any military leader on the move) and a mini-escape
submarine (perfect for any cowardly leader on the move). But with all this in mind, perhaps none of the fea-
tures of the Qadisiyah Saddam is as outrageous or hypocritical as the prayer room.
In the Eclipse, several superlatives come together to make for what must be regarded as the most outrageous
privately held mega-yacht in the world. Built for and owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, the
outrageousness began before it ever hit the water, when builder Blohm & Voss allegedly agreed to build the
vessel for about $485 million. Final cost: $785 million, making it the most expensive yacht ever built and
giving Abramovich $300 million of free mega-yacht. At 531.5 feet long, the Eclipse is the biggest yacht in
the world. Not unlike the mega-yacht A, owned by Roman’s pal Andrey Melnichenko, the Eclipse is believed
to have several secret exits as well as underwater access by way of a minisub, allowing Abramovich to en-
ter and exit without being seen. Finally, the Eclipse features an absolutely gargantuan and unprecedented
5,000-square-foot master suite that includes, among its endless amenities, a private garden.

Erum Khan1. TELL US ABOUT BRAND, ERUM
KHAN? WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE
FROM OTHER FASHION HOUSES?
Erum Khan is a high fashioned brand which
deals in couture, bridal, formals, semi for-
mals and luxury pret. I believe fashion is
the highest form of artistic expression and
movement. I make people look more ex-
pressive which makes me unique and sets
me apart from other fashion houses.
2. ARE YOU SELF TAUGHT OR DID
YOU STUDY FASHION DESIGN?
I am a self taught person; it took me years of
hard work to grow from zero to millionaire.
3. WHAT SPARKED YOUR INTER-
EST IN FASHION?
I have been interested in fashion since I was
a kid. I would say I probably got my start
when I first started playing with Barbie dolls
and started sewing my dolls’ clothes.
Also, I plunk down to watch any old Hol-
lywood classic movies or costume dramas
and do my best to emulate the styles for
my dolls. When asked, I would tell people
I wanted to be a designer when I grew up. I
never got to go to design school.
83
4. WHAT IS YOUR DESIGN PHILOSOPHY?
Our design philosophy is simple. What we are trying
to accomplish with the design is what others think a
design should accomplish.
5. WHAT KIND OF RESEARCH GOES INTO
YOUR COLLECTION?
We don’t believe in conducting random research.
When we start a project we brainstorm the ideas and
come up with a proper theme. From there we build up
story boards and mood boards eventually finalizing a
collection.
6. WHAT MADE YOU TO TAKE FASHION
MORE SERIOUSLY AND MAKE A CAREER
OUT OF IT?
I am a business woman. My main purpose of doing
something is to make money out of it. As I said earlier,
I have been a fashion person from the start and I con-
fidently believed that I could make money out of it. So
I took it up seriously, worked hard ultimately earning
my profound success.
7. WHAT IS THE BIGGEST LESSON THAT
YOU HAVE LEARNED SINCE YOU
STARTED YOUR COMPANY?
I had learned to never lend your company to anyone
else. Because it’s your responsibility. You have to be
sincere in work and to your company.
8. HOW IS YOUR WORK RECEIVED
INTERNATIONALLY?
I have always received immense appreciation when-
ever I have worked for the international market. And
that, to me has always been a feeling of great gratitude.
9. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT DE-
SIGNER LAWN TREND GOING ON NOW
DAYS? HOW DO YOU SEE THIS CURRENT
APPROACH BY DESIGNERS BRINGING
THEIR OWN PRINTS?
Honestly, as a business woman, my main approach to
any business idea is a money making technique. And I
believe that is a great idea of how to make money.
10. DO YOU
FEEL THERE’S
A SIGNIFI-
CANT
INTEREST
FOR YOUNG
DESIGNERS
AT THE
MOMENT?
Yes, young de-
signers always
hold a signifi-
cant importance
since they have
sharp minds and
they come up
with great ideas.
This is exactly
why I have al-
ways warmly
welcomed young
designers.
11. WHAT AD-
VICE WOULD
YOU GIVE TO
YOUNG DE-
SIGNERS?
Work hard, be
responsible, be
confident and
defend your work
and keep a fine
line between your
professional and
personal life. The
market demands
style out of a
business woman
like me. Anyone
capable of mak-
ing a sellable de-
sign is a designer
for me.
Parineeti Chopra
“My House is like My Baby”
Parineeti Chopra is on cloud nine right now. She’s look-
ing forward to moving into her new Bandra house next
week. The actress shares her excitement, “Just imagine,
I started my journey in Malad, then I lived in Verso-
va and now in a week’s time I’ll shift to my new house
in Bandra. Buying a house in Mumbai is like a huge
achievement… and that too in Bandra. It’s so exciting, it
feels really good.” She adds, “Today somebody messeged
me – she’s like a typical Bandra woman. She always used
to be like, ‘chee, you live in Andheri and all.’ And today
she was like, ‘Yay! You’ll be a Bandraite now.’ I was like
yeah man, I’m a Bandraite. I’ve seen people living in
Bandra since four years. And I do feel like a different
person when I go to Juhu or Bandra. Now I feel so cool
that I’ll also have a Bandra address.”
Parineeti has done the interiors of
her new house herself. She shares
her experience, “When I bought the
house, I took it down completely
and got it made from scratch. I’ve
spent my time and money on this
house. So I know which brick goes
where and what kind of cement is
being used.
If you need a carpenter or painter, I
know everybody. I know where you
can get toilet appliances from and
from where you can get the plumb-
ing done. I’m in my house 24X7
trying to do everything.”
87
Even though the actress has hired an architect,
she’s involved in every bit of the home making,
“An architect can only execute stuff. I have to
be involved. Right from the sofa fabrics, cush-
ion covers, fans, floors to ceiling… I decided
and chose everything.” Adding more about her
home decors, she says, “I’ve collected things
from all over the world… America, Dubai, Ra-
jshthan, Delhi. I’ve ordered most of the things
online. Now it’s finally ready. It’s the most
amazing feeling you know. My house is like my
baby. ” Now that her house is ready and she’s
soon moving in, Parineeti’s friends have asked
her to throw a housewarming party. The bub-
bly actress is a bit unsure about that though.
She says, “I’m very bad at throwing parties ya.
I’ve never thrown parties. But everyone is say-
ing that now you have to throw a housewarm-
ing party. So let’s see.”

Justin BieberTalks Calvin Klein in Hong Kong
Is he a model or is he vocalist? Justin Bieber needles individ-
uals from his escort amid a photograph shoot as he looks at
pictures of himself on a PC screen.
That is a question that the pop star - and his fans - may be
asking themselves more as often as possible. Bieber, who
simply turned 21 in March, says music remains his top need,
however it is clear that fashion is becoming an increasingly
important part of his persona. He just flexed his well-toned
muscles for Calvin Klein’s underwear and jeans campaigns -
and the brand flew him to Hong Kong to perform at a cruise
terminal and anchor a brand event. This spring, he cut a
stylish figure at the Met Gala, sporting a gold-embroidered
Balmain jacket with the brand’s designer Olivier Rousteing
-Bieber said the two are such good friends that they hear
from each other on an almost weekly basis. Meanwhile, he
is gearing up to make a cameo appearance in the hotly an-
ticipated “Zoolander 2.” Finally, the musician says it’s only
a matter of time before he designs his own men’s brand of
fashion and streetwear.
“Just being recognized by the fashion world in such a way so
far has been awesome,” says an upbeat Bieber, smacking on
blue gum during an interview on the 15th floor of The Land-
mark Mandarin Oriental just hours before his performance
at the Calvin Klein event. “I’m excited to venture into a new
lane….Really new and something I’ve always really liked,
but now I’m just moving forward into that direction.”
Zipping into the hotel suite on an IO Hawk, a mobility de-
vice similar to a Segway without the handle, Bieber acknowl-
edges that fashion - specifically the Calvin Klein campaign
- is helping him transform his image as he enters adulthood.
The Canadian singer calls the black-and-white Calvin Klein
ads with Lara Stone a “transitioning tool.” The sexually
charged images recall the brand’s iconic 1992 campaign with
Mark Wahlberg, aka Marky Mark, and Kate Moss.
97
Bieber does give
off something of a
transitional vibe,
of someone still
coming to terms
with adulthood
and his own matu-
rity - and how to
handle it. During
the interview, he
speaks softly - at
times just above a
whisper - and ear-
nestly. He seems
like a guy who has
been instructed to
choose his words
carefully.
I know Kanye [West] has
been working on his stuff
for years and failed and
came back and tried again
and failed. It’s about trial
and error and I don’t know
if I’m ready for that yet,” he
says. “Fashion’s definitely
really important, but I got
to make sure I’m ready for
the failing part of it be-
cause I know that comes
with it. It’s not easy. It’s not
like putting out an album.”
Doing just that - putting
out an album - is Bieber’s
focus for the moment. The
singer has not released
an album since 2013’s
“Journals.” Bieber says he
is working with a host of
collaborators, including the
aforementioned West and
Skrillex and Diplo. A re-
lease date has not been set.
“You’ll find yourself in the
studio for months at a time
and find nothing and then
all of the sudden it’s like
bang, bang, bang and you
get [ideas] like one after
the other,” he says. “Finally
you get in a rhythm and a
motion,.
Bieber has had his share
of legal issues and run-ins
with the law over the past
few years - most notably a
2014 charge of driving un-
der the influence that was
settled via plea bargain.
While he doesn’t discuss
any incidents specifical-
ly, he does address what
seems to be the constant
drama surrounding him
in more general terms. “I
don’t think anyone has
really doubted my musical
capability and that’s what
has sustained me this long,
through all the negative
stuff that’s been portrayed
of me,” Bieber says. “People
wanted me to apologize,
which I don’t know if it’s
really fair. I’ll definitely
take responsibility…as I’m
growing but I’ll never apol-
ogize for being human and
making mistakes,” he says.
“I think that that’s just part
of growing and living and
becoming a man or a wom-
an. It’s been a cool learning
process. I’m really happy
where I am right now, that’s
for sure.
Take a second to, like, step back
and evaluate the situation and
think, OK, that might not be true,
or just give me the benefit of the
doubt. That’s all I ask.”
Given that enthusiastic banter, it’s
no surprise that Bieber is thinking
about launching his own fashion
brand at some stage - he actual-
ly said as much during a WWD
interview in 2011. But he stresses
that he is not in any rush to jump
on the celebrity fashion bandwag-
on - and expressed a rather hum-
ble reason why.
“I haven’t lost that passion. It’s
just such a big deal….I just want
to make sure it’s perfect and right
and take my time with it.
Then there’s the flip side. Later that night, a large crowd of cheering and screaming fans greet-
ed the singer as he arrived at the venue, a ferry terminal and former airport along the Kow-
loon waterfront. Bieber plays a longer-than-anticipated set including “Where Are Ü Now,”
a new single he recorded with DJ trap/dance duo Skrillex and Diplo, an acoustic version of
Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” and some of his older hits like “Baby” and “Boyfriend.” He also
unleashes a few doses of attitude. “Don’t f–k with my levels,” he snipes at a sound producer in
the middle of a song. At another point, he abruptly asks photographers to put their cameras
away: “It’s annoying.” Bieber’s temperamental reputation doesn’t appear to be an issue for Cal-
vin Klein. “The bad-boy image? There are a lot of bad-boy images out there, whether it’s been
Prince, whether it’s been Mick Jagger - you know, it’s kind of part of the music industry,” says
Kevin Carrigan, global creative director for CK Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein Jeans and Calvin
Klein, ahead of Bieber’s performance.
I feel like that’s where I’m
at, just kind of finally col-
lecting all of the songs that
I want to come out.”
Growing up under public
scrutiny definitely poses its
challenges - perhaps that
is why Bieber seems to feel
so passionately about the
pitfalls of social media and
the damaging effects of
bullying.
“It’s all perception of how you
take it in…if you, like, get sat-
isfaction from the love, you’re
gonna die by the hate,” he says.
“[I] use it like a platform for me
to reach out to people and that’s
it. Not use it for validation or
something like that.”
He adds that technology cre-
ates an especially tough en-
vironment for kids today. “I
think that’s what’s ruining the
younger generation is they feel
so judged and they have to be
some sort of way,” he says. “I
just believe that’s discouraging
a lot of kids and I want to help
[with] that in any way I can.”
That motivation is what
prompted Bieber to invest in
Shots, a year-and-a-half-old
selfie app that strives to create
a cyber-bully-free environment
because there are no comments
or like-dislike features.
Bieber himself is gearing
up for a new level of ex-
posure with his upcoming
turn in “Zoolander 2,” his
first acting role.
“I start the movie off. The
first thing you see in the
movie, which is pretty
cool. I do this whole, like,
parkour sequence,” he says.
“I’ve never really done
something like that before.
I didn’t expect Ben [Still-
er] to be so hands on….It
was really cool to have him
direct me in such a non-
threatening way. I wasn’t
intimated at all.
Inspired Color
Palettes for
Spring Season
Whether Spring has sprung where
you are or you’re still waiting for the sun to
come out, the time has come to spruce up
your space for warmer months.
Inspired by the spaces in our Spring 2014
catalog, we’ve broken down exactly how
to get the look of four of the rooms you’ve
seen in our pages!
CORAL & MINERAL:
In the living room above, we brought in
happy shades of coral (our favorite!) and
tempered them with cool mineral for a
perfectly balanced combination. Our picks
for fabrics include our Holland Apricot
fabric, Suzanne Kasler’s Signature 10oz.
Linen in Mineral, our Merrick Coral fab-
ric, and our ever-popular Athena fabric in
Mineral. Pair these fabrics with accessories
in complementary hues, and even the most
neutral space will be transformed for a
new season.
105
LAVENDER & LINEN:
To echo the softness of Spring, we infused this bedroom with planes of lavender, balanced
with neutral patterns. We chose our Demere Stripe in Natural, Suzanne Kasler’s Signature
Linen in Lavender, our Hayland Natural Fabric, as well as our Emerson Stripe fabric in Lav-
ender. To give the space a more relaxed feel, we brought in little hints of nature, like with our
Dareau Woven Lampshade, a bench with a woven seat, and a natural fiber rug.
SPA & GOLD:
To up the ante on pieces in our all-time favorite hue, spa, we injected this space with glim-
mering gold. Warm velvet curtain panels have a glamorous luster about them, as do hints of
gold in accessories, accent furniture, and even art. Our fabric choices for this color palette
are our Kea fabric in Sand, our Signature Velvet in Spa, our Signature Velvet in Sand, and our
Haviland fabric in Spa.
SANDALWOOD & LIME:
Accents of green give this living room a fresh Spring look. We started with a neutral palette,
like our Demere Stripe in Flax, our Trilby Basketweave in Natural, and our Vintage Ticking
Stripe in Sandalwood, but of course had to bring in a little color with our Matisse Ikat fabric!
Accessories are fantastic way to give any room a certain vibe, and for that we used a preserved
boxwood topiary, a garden seat in a bright hue, and pillows and art with botanical motifs.

Berluti’s Picasso Museum
Picnic Dinner and Givenchy’s After-Party
We just wanted to do something fun where everybody can relax,” offered Berluti CEO An-
toine Arnault as last night’s post-show picnic dinner got under way in the garden behind the
Picasso Museum. “I think this is my first picnic of the year,” mused Haider Ackermann. “I
think this is the first one in my entire life, at least since school,” upped Christian Louboutin as
the first waiters emerged with baskets. “What’s for dinner?”
Baguette sandwiches and champagne, for starters, which were quickly followed by trays bear-
ing dishes of risotto in vivid hues (curaçao blue, beet pink, saffron yellow) in homage to Ber-
luti’s Chandigarh-inspired color story. Within minutes, ladies in sequined cocktail attire had
shed their heels and slipped onto blankets spread out around the garden. Also in the crowd
were Natalia Vodianova, Jeanne Damas, Raphaël Personnaz, Olivier Widmaier Picasso, and
Amar’e Stoudemire, looking dapper in a straw boater. “I loved the collection, but all this is
kind of new to me,” the NBA star noted. “It’s definitely the kind of luxury I could get used to.”
“We just wanted to give everyone a chance to chill out,” commented designer Alessandro Sar-
tori. “What could be better than the garden at the Picasso?” Remarkably, Berluti succeeded in
convincing museum authorities to keep its doors open until midnight, allowing both guests
and occasional passersby optimal viewing conditions.

  • 6. UMSHA BY UZMA BABARSUPER COLLECTION AT TELENOR BRIDAL COUTURE WEEK 2015 The summer edition of Telenor Bridal Cou- ture week was made more complete with the addition of bridal stylings of UMSHA by Uzma Babar. This designer impressed with her conventional detailing with classic colors and rich accom- paniments on contem- porary silhouttes. At the fashion week the UMSHA collection comprised of festive reds, rusts and rani pinks in line with time- less bridals in soft mut- ed pastels fused with heavy matte golds and jeweled details. Uzma Babar TBWC 2015 col- lection was remarkable and stood out as one of the most outstanding stylish collection at TBCW 2015. Definitely the dresses were most suited for receptions. In particular the short size cholis with le- hengas were the main attractions on the ramp and also most likewere the magical wedding lehngas in bright hues. Moammar Rana ap- peared as the show- stopper for this stun- ning collection. 5

  • 14. SARAH GANDAPURANOTHER SPECIAL ONE AT TELENOR BRIDAL COUTURE WEEK 2015 Sarah Gandapur’s elite TBCW 2015 collection was in- spired by the roy- al darbars of the sub continent. She managed to infuse eternal sophistica- tion with chic mod- ernism through her dresses. The collec- tions by Sarah Gan- dapur had tilla work embellishments. Also there were sleeveless shirts and lehenga cholis. The fashion models wore maatha pattis too. It must be high- lighted that all the bridal outfits looked sizzling. The national dress from across the border took promi- nence in Sarah Gan- dapur’s collection. Taking this sensu- ous ensemble, she experimented with the sari in a bid to offer something dis- tinctive but largely failed to make a huge impact though she did manage to deliver some knock- out looks as well. 13

  • 22. TABASSUM MUGHAL COLLECTION AT TELENOR BRIDAL COUTURE WEEK 2015 This collection can be marked as the most outstanding collection for the reception days or wedding occas- sions. Tabassum Mu- ghal’s bridal and trousseau collection titled “through the vin- tage rose garden’ for Telenor Bridal Week 2015 was a sumptuous and majestic collection inspired by impe- rial courts. 21
  • 23. Picturesque victoriana dar- gen-scapes and exquisite flora and fern were rendered into artisanal works of mag- nificence. The designer worked with a kaleidoscopic colour palette beginning with light grey and ecru and transmogrifying to flourishes of rust, plum, crimson and maroon. The collection offered brides a plethora of silhou- ette options from embroidered long jackets worn with billowing gowns to sensuous cholis worn with neon chatta patti patch- work lehngas.

  • 25. Embroidery in the form of rose blooms mounted on ornate picture frames and other floral ruminations use intricate metal-wiren- aqshi embroidery, pearls, stone-work, crystals and ubiquitous gota work which offer three-dimen- sional illusions of gran- deur and sophistication. Super model Nadia Hus- sain was the showstopper for Tabassum Mughal TBCW Bridal collection.

  • 34. GIRLY SANDALS TO WEAR THIS SUMMER 2015 You likely have a couple of these sets as of now from our spring shoe pattern guide, yet we’ve got some more styles that you’ll likely need to add to your closet. Whether you’re into an announce- ment making fighter or custom- ary flip slump, there’s a couple for each event you have gotten ready for the hot- ter months. From thick mid-heels to energetic shoes, read on to find out about what open toe styles you can browse this season. At that point look at our slideshow to shop for them all and begin plan- ning those stan- dard pedicures. GLADIATOR: Odds are just a couple of us customers will choose the knee-high form (and in the event that you do, get it, young lady!), so we propose go- ing for a style that hits comfortable lower leg or even up to the base of your calf. Wear them with shorts, a sun dress, or slip them under your thin pants. FLIP FLOPS: In the event that mold tennis shoes are a thing, then consider the conventional flip flounder the following shoe thing to get an originator over- haul. 33
  • 35. With cooperation outlines by Valentino and Mara Hoffman, the Brazilian shoe brand Hawaiians are on move at keeping their mainstream flip floun- ders a long way from being a design violation of social norms. ONE STRAP HEEL This specific style is for those up and coming un- hitched female gatherings, summer weddings, and women’s evenings, you’ve added to your calendar. The shoe you’ll likely combine with both your large number of cool dresses and mixed drink clothing outfits. Be that as it may, don’t undermine the adaptability of this hot stiletto; they impecca- bly spruce up some beau pants or printed track pants. FOOTBED Another 90’s staple that advanced once again into our lives. Because of our recollections of easily brandishing Birkenstocks all through our teen years, we at long last have motivation to wear them once more. What’s more, if Birks were never your thing however regardless you need a shoe that is tough and cozy, there’s a huge amount of distinctive flatbed styles that you’ll need to wear. MINI WEDGE Not with standing the thick heel, there’s likewise this form of a shoe that includes stature without losing solace. • 50. Benefits of Prenatal Yoga Yoga builds strength: “One of the best things about yoga is it makes you stronger all over,” says Santa Monica YogaWorks in- structor Julie Jacobs. You’ll need that strength in your lower body to carry the added pregnancy weight and compensate for changes in balance. And you’ll need it in your upper body to handle the weight you’ll be carrying around for the year or so after birth… your baby! 49
  • 51. Yoga helps relieve aches and pains: Back pain is a common pregnancy complaint, often worsening as the weight of the uterus (and the baby in it) increases. Prenatal yoga strengthens the muscles that support this weight, taking pressure off the lower back. Many women experience irritation of the sciatic nerve during pregnancy, and yoga can also be great for this. The pigeon pose and half-moon pose can stretch this area to relieve pain, and inversions can help make space in the pelvis to lessen irritation. Yoga teaches you to breathe: Breathing exercises can be incredibly helpful during pregnancy for calming and centering purposes, and to maximize oxygen flow when you need it. Breath control is an invaluable asset for pain man- agement in labor and birth, especially for those hoping to forego medical pain relief options. Yoga teaches balance As weight and body shape changes, pregnant women can feel wonky and wobbly. Balancing asanas, like the tree pose and the half-moon pose, help women get comfortable with their changing center of gravity, while poses like the downward dog and the warrior will help stretch and strengthen the muscles required to counterbalance the big belly. Yoga helps you open your hips for childbirth: Not only does yoga make your body stronger all over (a huge asset in childbirth), but as your pregnancy progresses, your prac- tice can be tailored to focus more directly on birth preparation. Squats and other hip-opening poses can help your baby get into position and help with pushing. Some yoga teachers will work directly with women in the end of the last trimester to give them tools to cope with pain and ease childbirth.
  • 52. Yoga relieves anxiety: The attention to breathing, the calm atmosphere and music, and the stretching and relax- ation can really help turn down the noise in your head. Yoga is about being in the moment and letting everything else fall away for the time being. That break from the bustle can help with anxiety about health, birth, or anything else there is to do or worry about. Yoga helps you bond with your baby: The focus on staying in the moment can serve another important purpose. Prenatal yoga gives moms a heightened ability to connect with the experience of being pregnant in the here and now, and bond with their babies. It’s easy to lose that feeling in the hubbub of the ev- eryday, so having a dedicated time to relax and connect can be a real gift — the echoes can last a lifetime.
  • 53. Yoga is a great way to meet other moms: Prenatal exercise classes are one of the best ways to meet moms who are also at your stage in preg- nancy. As you transition to a new phase of your life, having a supportive network of women who un- derstand what you’re going through is incredibly helpful. Yoga teaches you how to rest on command: “Nap when the baby naps.” You’ll hear this advice dozens of times during and after pregnancy. The takeaway is that sleeping when you’re tired is not necessarily part of your new normal. Instead, you’ll have to learn to rest when the opportunity presents itself. Savasana, the relaxation pose that comes at the end of any yoga class, is often adapted to a side-lying or semi-reclining pose in prenatal yoga. But the benefits are the same. Learning to quiet your mind and body and get rest when you can will serve you well when your sleep sched- ule is out of your control. Yoga encourages confidence: Unfamiliar feelings and uncomfortable side effects often result in a general sense of unease with your body during pregnancy. Seeing the power of your own body in a room full of other powerful pregnant women can be great positive reinforcement. And your yoga instructor’s words of wisdom can help remind you of your inner strength.

  • 70. Abdominal Workouts for Men Before you begin, keep in mind the brilliant abdominal muscle workout principle: quality over amount. It’s a myth that 2,000 quick paced crunches a day will abandon you with a wash- board stomach. Holland suggests that, as opposed to tearing through the movements, you back off for more successful results, building up to 30 second arrangements of value crunches. So now, we intro- duce five altogether different abdominal muscle pulverizing activities your out from exhaust- ing floor crunches: 1). Plank crunch: Begin in a conventional board position with your lower arms on the ground and your body consummately straight. Display your right knee towards your right elbow, then come back to the board position. Rehash by bringing your left knee toward your left el- bow. That is one rep. Substitute sides for an aggregate of 10 com- plete reps. The board is essentially one of the main activities where you’re getting your whole center. You’re working the front and back of your stomach territory in the meantime with no gear. You’re get- ting your rectus abdominis, your obliques, and your lower back. • 72. BMW 5 Series GT Fuel Cell Concept Review More importantly, this concept also features a new type of hydrogen storage tank. BMW has patented the technology and says it is now confi- dent that not only is this new storage method the way of the future but also that a ‘hydrogen economy’ is the only way that Eu- rope can disengage from fossil fuels over the medi- um term. BMW has long experimented with vehi- cles powered by hydrogen, with its first experimental model dating back to 1984. If you have a good memory, you might recall the ’Hydrogen 7’, based on the V12 7 Series and built in very limited numbers until 2007. Changes were made to the car’s structure, mainly in terms of crash safety for the fitting of the hy- drogen tank and because the tank is bolted into the car as an integral part of the structure. Under the bonnet sits the fuel cell stack. Fully dressed with all the ancillary compo- nents, it’s about the size of a conventional big V8. The core fuel cell stacks are a Toyota technology, with BMW supplying the new hydrogen tank, elec- tric drive train and high voltage battery. When running under a relatively low load the fuel cell is 65% efficient in turning the hydrogen fuel into forward motion. The car used a relatively conventional internal combustion engine, which, partly thanks to BMW’s Valvetron- ic valve intake system, could run on both petrol and hydrogen. Since then, BMW and its hydrogen research went relatively quiet. The arrival of the first serious battery-powered production cars and scepticism about the likeli- hood of a ‘hydrogen economy’ has, in recent years, put hydrogen fuel cell cars on the back foot. In 2013, BMW and Toyota signed a strategic collabo- ration on the development of hydro- gen fuel cell drivetrains. This, BMW says, “provided fresh momentum for the development of FCEV drive technology”. BMW says its big break- through with this new prototype is in the hydrogen fuel tank and refuelling technology. While this concept fuel cell car looks like a standard BMW 5GT both inside and out, it is very different under the skin. 71
  • 73. That’s far better than any internal combustion engine. Under heavy load, however, the effi- ciency drops to 45%, which is slightly better than a typical turbodiesel engine. The rear wheels are driven by a 199bhp electric motor via a new two-speed dual-clutch automatic transmis- sion. A very small 1kWh battery sits above the rear axle. The new storage tank is a huge mul- tilayer construction. At its core is an aluminium pressure vessel which in turn is wrapped with a continuous carbonfibre-reinforced plastic filament. This wrapped layer is around 5cm think. Around that is a radiation shield, and between that and an aluminium casing forming the outside skin, there is cavity containing a vacuum. The tank’s end caps are aluminium cast- ings welded into place. Seen in isolation, the new tank looks like a noseless missile of the type you see hanging from the wings of jet fighters. The key advance of this 5GT is BMW’s newly patented method of refuelling and storing the hydrogen fuel. They call the tank a ‘cryogenic pressure vessel’, which is designed to be filled with hydrogen cooled to –220deg C. Super-cooling allows the tank to hold some 7.1kg of hydrogen, compared with just 2.3kg at the ambient temperature. BMW’s engineers say that 7.1kg of hydrogen equates to a real-world range of around 434 miles. The refuelling also takes around five minutes.
  • 74. At today’s hydrogen prices, that’s around £50. Although this was an early engineer- ing car, it felt tight and ran seamlessly. It’s relatively swift and the handling and ride is improved over that of the standard production model, probably because bolting the tank into the structure has improved the body stiffness. As you might expect, the car was also im- pressively refined. One thing that struck most forcefully while driving was how difficult it will be for BMW’s engineers to install any sort of individual character into any future fuel cell-powered executive car. Electrically driven vehicles can all be remarkably similar in the way they drive, which is smoothly, quietly and briskly. You can’t. BMW and Toyota say they hope to have the full com- ponents set for a mass-production-capable car ready by 2020. By then the hydrogen refuelling network should be more advanced, especially in countries such as Japan and Korea.

  • 76. Luxurious YachtsThe world of mega-yachts offers a much more tantalizing field of absurd en- tries. After all, there is wealth, and then there is mega-yacht ownership. Octopus Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen owns the Octopus, a mega-yacht that stretches 414 feet long and could easily be mistaken for a cruise ship. The Octopus has two helipads — and helicopters — a large pool, a basketball court, and even a pair of small submarines, one of which can actually house eight people for up to two weeks underwater. But the most outrageous feature of the Octopus is the word that its crew of 60 includes ex-Navy SEALs. Good to see all that expensive government training gone to the cause of mixing martinis and fluffing pillows for Paul Allen and his guests. 75
  • 77. Rising SunBillionaires have the same problems as the rest of us. Take Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle: After buying his mega-yacht, the Rising Sun, he came to that all-too-common conclusion that it was just too big. Been there, done that. At almost 453 feet long, Ellison should have known he wouldn’t be able to dock it just anywhere, but that probably didn’t matter. The important thing was that it was the longest when it was built. For a few months, anyway. Now it’s new owner David Geffen’s problem, a problem that includes nothing phenomenally outrageous, just a laundry list of impressive amenities. Amenities like a basketball court, eight staterooms, 82 rooms, a decorative stone wall that rises up through the middle of the yacht, a Jacuzzi, a wine cellar, glass and brushed-chrome staircases, a sitting room with a wood-burning fireplace, curved floor-to-ceiling windows lining two of the decks, and a crew of 30 to wait hand and foot on Geffen and guests. The Savarona is the oldest yacht on our list. Despite being thoroughly Turkish, the Savarona was originally commissioned by the granddaughter of John Roebling, designer of the Brooklyn Bridge. Built in 1931, it is 408 feet long and has a staggering 17 staterooms. A 282-foot-long staircase, highlighted by a solid brass bal- ustrade, connects the yacht’s shelter deck to its upper deck. An onboard hospital and a crew of more than 40 deliver five-star service, which is only appropriate when you’re chartering it at around $500,000 per week. Yet the Savarona’s most outrageous feature is its traditional Turkish bath, known as a hammam, made from 260 tons of marble. Savarona
  • 78. Guilty Believe it or not, if you Google “ugliest yacht in the world,” you will not find a thousand hits pointing to the yacht Guilty, even though in our eyes it’s precisely what you should find. Guilty, which looks like it was made from a LEGO set com- memorating The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, is owned by Greek billionaire art collector Dakis Joannou. Its most outrageous feature is the exterior design, done by contemporary artist Jeff Koons. Koons is famous for kitsch sculptures, was married to porn-star-turned-politician La Cicciolina, and was the top-selling artist at auction in 2008, where his work sold for an unfathomable $117.2 million. Maybe you bought one of his full-size por- celain statues of Michael Jackson getting fresh with Bubbles the chimp. No? Someone did, for over $5 million, which is its own bit of outrageousness. The 247-foot-long Mirabella V is a cutter-rigged sloop, making it the only sailing yacht on our list. But its most outrageous feature — its only outrageous feature, really — nicely symbolizes the current arms race among the super-wealthy to build the biggest mega-yacht. In addition to a gym, sauna and a dining room that seats 20, the luxurious Mirabella V is the largest single-mast sailing yacht in the world, equipped with the tallest mast you’ll find anywhere — a phallic symbol on the ocean waves if there ever was one. The towering 292-foot mast prevents the yacht from fitting under the likes of the Golden Gate Bridge. For this reason, it keeps to locales in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Mirabella V
  • 79. To the uninitiated, the Al Salamah’s design and sheer enormity lead to an inescapable — and incorrect — conclusion that it’s a cruise ship. At 456 feet long and rising eight decks high, the mega-yacht Al Salamah is owned by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, who also holds a number of government posts including that of defense minister. The details of the yacht’s decks and interior remain closely guarded secrets. Rumors of 80 rooms, indoor swimming pools and an onboard hospital remain just that — rumors. Precious little has leaked out, despite the yacht’s most outrageous feature (if true): the 96-person crew, likely the biggest in the world. In 1998, another Greek shipping magnate ac- quired the yacht and set about to rebuild it in the style of the orig- inal, featuring a formal dining room that seats 40, a massage room and beauty salon, porcelain by Bernardaud of Limo- ges, Waterford crystal by Rocha and original works of art by Renoir and Le Corbusier. However, the most outrageous feature is a bronze-bordered pool inlaid with mosaic frescos of ancient Crete which, at the push of a button, rises to deck level and becomes a dance floor. In its heyday, the Christina O was the most famous yacht in the world. The ship was a Canadian naval frigate that saw action on D-day in World War II, but Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis turned it into a playground for the biggest celebrities and most powerful men in the world, from John F. Kennedy and Winston Churchill, to Liz Taylor, Richard Burton and Marilyn Monroe. Al Salamah Christina O
  • 80. 3 AThis is the yacht you get when you search Google for the “ugliest yacht in the world.” Granted, A (yes, that’s just the letter A) may not be the finest work by world-renowned designer Philippe Starck, but it is his — from the reverse bow design, to the lavish interior, to the outfits worn by the staff of 35. Built for young Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko, the 390-foot mega-yacht is mysteriously absent of open deck space. Instead, it’s especially devoted to Andrey, without much in the way of entertaining others. To that end, most outra- geous is the alleged master suite: a whopping 2,583 square feet, surrounded on all sides by bulletproof glass, accessed by taking a silver-plated staircase, and accessible only if you can get by the fingerprint scanner. Qadisiyah Saddam The Qadisiyah Saddam — now known as the Ocean Breeze — was built for its namesake, Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, so you know right away this thing is not going to be just out- rageous, but also something of an outrage. Said to be sumptuously decorated with multiple staterooms, gorgeous salons, solid gold fixtures, indoor pools, saunas, a helipad, and bulletproof windows, the yacht was built in 1981, at a time when Saddam’s country was at war with Iran (one example among thousands of Saddam’s selfish and poorly timed abuses of public funds). It’s of little surprise, then, that the yacht is said to be equipped with a missile launching system (perfect for any military leader on the move) and a mini-escape submarine (perfect for any cowardly leader on the move). But with all this in mind, perhaps none of the fea- tures of the Qadisiyah Saddam is as outrageous or hypocritical as the prayer room.
  • 81. In the Eclipse, several superlatives come together to make for what must be regarded as the most outrageous privately held mega-yacht in the world. Built for and owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, the outrageousness began before it ever hit the water, when builder Blohm & Voss allegedly agreed to build the vessel for about $485 million. Final cost: $785 million, making it the most expensive yacht ever built and giving Abramovich $300 million of free mega-yacht. At 531.5 feet long, the Eclipse is the biggest yacht in the world. Not unlike the mega-yacht A, owned by Roman’s pal Andrey Melnichenko, the Eclipse is believed to have several secret exits as well as underwater access by way of a minisub, allowing Abramovich to en- ter and exit without being seen. Finally, the Eclipse features an absolutely gargantuan and unprecedented 5,000-square-foot master suite that includes, among its endless amenities, a private garden. Eclipse

I am a self taught person; it took me years of hard work to grow from zero to millionaire. 3. WHAT SPARKED YOUR INTER- EST IN FASHION? I have been interested in fashion since I was a kid. I would say I probably got my start when I first started playing with Barbie dolls and started sewing my dolls’ clothes. Also, I plunk down to watch any old Hol- lywood classic movies or costume dramas and do my best to emulate the styles for my dolls. When asked, I would tell people I wanted to be a designer when I grew up. I never got to go to design school. 83
  • 85. 4. WHAT IS YOUR DESIGN PHILOSOPHY? Our design philosophy is simple. What we are trying to accomplish with the design is what others think a design should accomplish. 5. WHAT KIND OF RESEARCH GOES INTO YOUR COLLECTION? We don’t believe in conducting random research. When we start a project we brainstorm the ideas and come up with a proper theme. From there we build up story boards and mood boards eventually finalizing a collection. 6. WHAT MADE YOU TO TAKE FASHION MORE SERIOUSLY AND MAKE A CAREER OUT OF IT? I am a business woman. My main purpose of doing something is to make money out of it. As I said earlier, I have been a fashion person from the start and I con- fidently believed that I could make money out of it. So I took it up seriously, worked hard ultimately earning my profound success. 7. WHAT IS THE BIGGEST LESSON THAT YOU HAVE LEARNED SINCE YOU STARTED YOUR COMPANY? I had learned to never lend your company to anyone else. Because it’s your responsibility. You have to be sincere in work and to your company. 8. HOW IS YOUR WORK RECEIVED INTERNATIONALLY? I have always received immense appreciation when- ever I have worked for the international market. And that, to me has always been a feeling of great gratitude. 9. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT DE- SIGNER LAWN TREND GOING ON NOW DAYS? HOW DO YOU SEE THIS CURRENT APPROACH BY DESIGNERS BRINGING THEIR OWN PRINTS? Honestly, as a business woman, my main approach to any business idea is a money making technique. And I believe that is a great idea of how to make money.
  • 86. 10. DO YOU FEEL THERE’S A SIGNIFI- CANT INTEREST FOR YOUNG DESIGNERS AT THE MOMENT? Yes, young de- signers always hold a signifi- cant importance since they have sharp minds and they come up with great ideas. This is exactly why I have al- ways warmly welcomed young designers. 11. WHAT AD- VICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO YOUNG DE- SIGNERS? Work hard, be responsible, be confident and defend your work and keep a fine line between your professional and personal life. The market demands style out of a business woman like me. Anyone capable of mak- ing a sellable de- sign is a designer for me.

She always used to be like, ‘chee, you live in Andheri and all.’ And today she was like, ‘Yay! You’ll be a Bandraite now.’ I was like yeah man, I’m a Bandraite. I’ve seen people living in Bandra since four years. And I do feel like a different person when I go to Juhu or Bandra. Now I feel so cool that I’ll also have a Bandra address.” Parineeti has done the interiors of her new house herself. She shares her experience, “When I bought the house, I took it down completely and got it made from scratch. I’ve spent my time and money on this house. So I know which brick goes where and what kind of cement is being used. If you need a carpenter or painter, I know everybody. I know where you can get toilet appliances from and from where you can get the plumb- ing done. I’m in my house 24X7 trying to do everything.” 87

Right from the sofa fabrics, cush- ion covers, fans, floors to ceiling… I decided and chose everything.” Adding more about her home decors, she says, “I’ve collected things from all over the world… America, Dubai, Ra- jshthan, Delhi. I’ve ordered most of the things online. Now it’s finally ready. It’s the most amazing feeling you know. My house is like my baby. ” Now that her house is ready and she’s soon moving in, Parineeti’s friends have asked her to throw a housewarming party. The bub- bly actress is a bit unsure about that though. She says, “I’m very bad at throwing parties ya. I’ve never thrown parties. • 98. Justin BieberTalks Calvin Klein in Hong Kong Is he a model or is he vocalist? Justin Bieber needles individ- uals from his escort amid a photograph shoot as he looks at pictures of himself on a PC screen. That is a question that the pop star - and his fans - may be asking themselves more as often as possible. Bieber, who simply turned 21 in March, says music remains his top need, however it is clear that fashion is becoming an increasingly important part of his persona. He just flexed his well-toned muscles for Calvin Klein’s underwear and jeans campaigns - and the brand flew him to Hong Kong to perform at a cruise terminal and anchor a brand event. This spring, he cut a stylish figure at the Met Gala, sporting a gold-embroidered Balmain jacket with the brand’s designer Olivier Rousteing -Bieber said the two are such good friends that they hear from each other on an almost weekly basis. Meanwhile, he is gearing up to make a cameo appearance in the hotly an- ticipated “Zoolander 2.” Finally, the musician says it’s only a matter of time before he designs his own men’s brand of fashion and streetwear. “Just being recognized by the fashion world in such a way so far has been awesome,” says an upbeat Bieber, smacking on blue gum during an interview on the 15th floor of The Land- mark Mandarin Oriental just hours before his performance at the Calvin Klein event. “I’m excited to venture into a new lane….Really new and something I’ve always really liked, but now I’m just moving forward into that direction.” Zipping into the hotel suite on an IO Hawk, a mobility de- vice similar to a Segway without the handle, Bieber acknowl- edges that fashion - specifically the Calvin Klein campaign - is helping him transform his image as he enters adulthood. The Canadian singer calls the black-and-white Calvin Klein ads with Lara Stone a “transitioning tool.” The sexually charged images recall the brand’s iconic 1992 campaign with Mark Wahlberg, aka Marky Mark, and Kate Moss. 97
  • 99. Bieber does give off something of a transitional vibe, of someone still coming to terms with adulthood and his own matu- rity - and how to handle it. During the interview, he speaks softly - at times just above a whisper - and ear- nestly. He seems like a guy who has been instructed to choose his words carefully.
  • 100. I know Kanye [West] has been working on his stuff for years and failed and came back and tried again and failed. It’s about trial and error and I don’t know if I’m ready for that yet,” he says. “Fashion’s definitely really important, but I got to make sure I’m ready for the failing part of it be- cause I know that comes with it. It’s not easy. It’s not like putting out an album.” Doing just that - putting out an album - is Bieber’s focus for the moment. The singer has not released an album since 2013’s “Journals.” Bieber says he is working with a host of collaborators, including the aforementioned West and Skrillex and Diplo. A re- lease date has not been set. “You’ll find yourself in the studio for months at a time and find nothing and then all of the sudden it’s like bang, bang, bang and you get [ideas] like one after the other,” he says. “Finally you get in a rhythm and a motion,. Bieber has had his share of legal issues and run-ins with the law over the past few years - most notably a 2014 charge of driving un- der the influence that was settled via plea bargain. While he doesn’t discuss any incidents specifical- ly, he does address what seems to be the constant drama surrounding him in more general terms. “I don’t think anyone has really doubted my musical capability and that’s what has sustained me this long, through all the negative stuff that’s been portrayed of me,” Bieber says. “People wanted me to apologize, which I don’t know if it’s really fair. I’ll definitely take responsibility…as I’m growing but I’ll never apol- ogize for being human and making mistakes,” he says. “I think that that’s just part of growing and living and becoming a man or a wom- an. It’s been a cool learning process. I’m really happy where I am right now, that’s for sure. Take a second to, like, step back and evaluate the situation and think, OK, that might not be true, or just give me the benefit of the doubt. That’s all I ask.” Given that enthusiastic banter, it’s no surprise that Bieber is thinking about launching his own fashion brand at some stage - he actual- ly said as much during a WWD interview in 2011. But he stresses that he is not in any rush to jump on the celebrity fashion bandwag- on - and expressed a rather hum- ble reason why. “I haven’t lost that passion. It’s just such a big deal….I just want to make sure it’s perfect and right and take my time with it. Then there’s the flip side. Later that night, a large crowd of cheering and screaming fans greet- ed the singer as he arrived at the venue, a ferry terminal and former airport along the Kow- loon waterfront. Bieber plays a longer-than-anticipated set including “Where Are Ü Now,” a new single he recorded with DJ trap/dance duo Skrillex and Diplo, an acoustic version of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” and some of his older hits like “Baby” and “Boyfriend.” He also unleashes a few doses of attitude. “Don’t f–k with my levels,” he snipes at a sound producer in the middle of a song. At another point, he abruptly asks photographers to put their cameras away: “It’s annoying.” Bieber’s temperamental reputation doesn’t appear to be an issue for Cal- vin Klein. “The bad-boy image? There are a lot of bad-boy images out there, whether it’s been Prince, whether it’s been Mick Jagger - you know, it’s kind of part of the music industry,” says Kevin Carrigan, global creative director for CK Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein Jeans and Calvin Klein, ahead of Bieber’s performance.
  • 101. I feel like that’s where I’m at, just kind of finally col- lecting all of the songs that I want to come out.” Growing up under public scrutiny definitely poses its challenges - perhaps that is why Bieber seems to feel so passionately about the pitfalls of social media and the damaging effects of bullying.
  • 102. “It’s all perception of how you take it in…if you, like, get sat- isfaction from the love, you’re gonna die by the hate,” he says. “[I] use it like a platform for me to reach out to people and that’s it. Not use it for validation or something like that.” He adds that technology cre- ates an especially tough en- vironment for kids today. “I think that’s what’s ruining the younger generation is they feel so judged and they have to be some sort of way,” he says. “I just believe that’s discouraging a lot of kids and I want to help [with] that in any way I can.” That motivation is what prompted Bieber to invest in Shots, a year-and-a-half-old selfie app that strives to create a cyber-bully-free environment because there are no comments or like-dislike features. Bieber himself is gearing up for a new level of ex- posure with his upcoming turn in “Zoolander 2,” his first acting role. “I start the movie off. The first thing you see in the movie, which is pretty cool. I do this whole, like, parkour sequence,” he says. “I’ve never really done something like that before. I didn’t expect Ben [Still- er] to be so hands on….It was really cool to have him direct me in such a non- threatening way. I wasn’t intimated at all.

Inspired Color Palettes for Spring Season Whether Spring has sprung where you are or you’re still waiting for the sun to come out, the time has come to spruce up your space for warmer months. Inspired by the spaces in our Spring 2014 catalog, we’ve broken down exactly how to get the look of four of the rooms you’ve seen in our pages! CORAL & MINERAL: In the living room above, we brought in happy shades of coral (our favorite!) and tempered them with cool mineral for a perfectly balanced combination. Our picks for fabrics include our Holland Apricot fabric, Suzanne Kasler’s Signature 10oz. Linen in Mineral, our Merrick Coral fab- ric, and our ever-popular Athena fabric in Mineral. Pair these fabrics with accessories in complementary hues, and even the most neutral space will be transformed for a new season. 105
  • 107. LAVENDER & LINEN: To echo the softness of Spring, we infused this bedroom with planes of lavender, balanced with neutral patterns. We chose our Demere Stripe in Natural, Suzanne Kasler’s Signature Linen in Lavender, our Hayland Natural Fabric, as well as our Emerson Stripe fabric in Lav- ender. To give the space a more relaxed feel, we brought in little hints of nature, like with our Dareau Woven Lampshade, a bench with a woven seat, and a natural fiber rug.
  • 108. SPA & GOLD: To up the ante on pieces in our all-time favorite hue, spa, we injected this space with glim- mering gold. Warm velvet curtain panels have a glamorous luster about them, as do hints of gold in accessories, accent furniture, and even art. Our fabric choices for this color palette are our Kea fabric in Sand, our Signature Velvet in Spa, our Signature Velvet in Sand, and our Haviland fabric in Spa.
  • 109. SANDALWOOD & LIME: Accents of green give this living room a fresh Spring look. We started with a neutral palette, like our Demere Stripe in Flax, our Trilby Basketweave in Natural, and our Vintage Ticking Stripe in Sandalwood, but of course had to bring in a little color with our Matisse Ikat fabric! Accessories are fantastic way to give any room a certain vibe, and for that we used a preserved boxwood topiary, a garden seat in a bright hue, and pillows and art with botanical motifs.

Berluti’s Picasso Museum Picnic Dinner and Givenchy’s After-Party We just wanted to do something fun where everybody can relax,” offered Berluti CEO An- toine Arnault as last night’s post-show picnic dinner got under way in the garden behind the Picasso Museum. “I think this is my first picnic of the year,” mused Haider Ackermann. “I think this is the first one in my entire life, at least since school,” upped Christian Louboutin as the first waiters emerged with baskets. “What’s for dinner?” Baguette sandwiches and champagne, for starters, which were quickly followed by trays bear- ing dishes of risotto in vivid hues (curaçao blue, beet pink, saffron yellow) in homage to Ber- luti’s Chandigarh-inspired color story. Within minutes, ladies in sequined cocktail attire had shed their heels and slipped onto blankets spread out around the garden. Also in the crowd were Natalia Vodianova, Jeanne Damas, Raphaël Personnaz, Olivier Widmaier Picasso, and Amar’e Stoudemire, looking dapper in a straw boater. “I loved the collection, but all this is kind of new to me,” the NBA star noted. “It’s definitely the kind of luxury I could get used to.” “We just wanted to give everyone a chance to chill out,” commented designer Alessandro Sar- tori. “What could be better than the garden at the Picasso?” Remarkably, Berluti succeeded in convincing museum authorities to keep its doors open until midnight, allowing both guests and occasional passersby optimal viewing conditions. 123
