Peter Jackson
    Peter Jackson is the director for The Lovely Bones, which has inspired us
    for our film. He was born in 1961 and is recognised as a New Zealand
    film director. Besides this he is also a screenwriter, producer and actor.
    He is well known for the trilogy he made of The Lord of the Rings.
    He created several ‘splatstick’ horror comedies which made him
    internationally known and has been very successful ever since.
    Throughout his career he has won the BAFTA, Golden Globe, Saturn
    Award for Best Director, three Academy Awards and an Award for Best
    Director.
    Some of the films he’s directed are Meet the Feebles, Braindead,
    Forgotten Silver, The Frighteners, King Kong, The Lovely Bones, The
    Hobbit trilogy. Alongside these films, he’s produced District 9 and The
    Adventures of Tintin.
    The Lovely Bones
    The Lovely Bones was first released in the United States in 2009 and the
    idea was triggered by Alice Sebold bestselling book. As the film wasn’t as
    successful and large as his other films, he said it was a welcome relief.
    The film was nominated as a Best Picture Oscar contender however it
    has gained poor feedback and received 32% rotten on the film review
    site, Rotten Tomatoes.
George Lucas
     George Lucas was born in 1944 and is known as an
     American film director and he is a screenwriter, producer
     and entrepreneur. He started directing and producing in
     1965. The most popular film he has directed and produced
     is the Star Wars trilogy and was the archaeologist-
     adventurer character in the film Indiana Jones. Besides this
     he is the chairman and founder of LucasFilm which is an
     American film production company which began in 1971.
     He has become extremely successful and is now generating
     a net profit of $3.2billion.
     During his career he has created nine short films and six big
     feature films. George Lucas In love and Freiheit are just two
     of the nine films he’s created.
     He has won the Lifetime Achievement Award and has been
     nominated for four Academy Awards, best directing and
     writing for several films.
Steven Spielberg
      Steven Spielberg was born in 1946 and is most known for being an
      American film director, producer, screenwriter and video game
      designer as well as being an entrepreneur. Steven Spielberg is most
      known from his adventurous films which include Jurassic Park, ET,
      Saving Private Ryan, Jaws and Catch Me If You Can.
      He became very successful and gained new box office records and
      the films that he directed generated over $8.3million worldwide.
      His most recent success in the awards criteria was winning the
      Golden Globe Best Animated Feature Film, 2PGA Awards, American
      Film Institute a BAFTA Award, Emmy Award and Motion Picture
      Sound Editors Award.
