Steven Allan Spielberg was born on December 18, 1946 – Cincinnati,
Ohio.
Son of a Jewish family, Leah was a restaurateur and concert pianist
and Arnold, an electronic engineer involved in the development of
Computers.

He spent his childhood in Haddon Township, NJ.
When he was about 10, he made his first amateur movie using a 8mm
cam and his friends as actors.
His first exhibition was at Pinnacle Peak Patio restaurant in Scottsdale.

popcorn.

In 1969, he had his first run as a professional with movie “Amblin” that
lasted 24 minutes.

After Amblin, Spielberg signed a contract with Universal
Studios where he would have an opportunity to manage his first feature
film in 1971 – Duel (Encurralados in portuguese).
Made for TV, that movie was a great success and had a version for
Cinema.
A couple of mounths later, he started to manage a TV series called
Columbo and Marcus Welby M.D.
His success opened his way into the cinema as a Director.

In 1975, Spielberg directed the movie that would be the greatest
Success of his career, Jaws (Tubarão in Portuguese).
The movie was a great success and had revenues of more than 100
million and attracted audiences around the world, most of them
youngsters.
After that , all studios started to produce movies like Jaws, which could
attract audiences using that sort of production and special effects at
high costs.

In 1977, he released the movie “Close encounteres of the third kind”
and he won his first Oscar nomination as Best Director.
In 1979, he had his first failure with the movie “1941 – A Comedy

office and criticism.

both. Spielberg was impressed with talent that Williams had.
Spielberg invited Williams to participate composing for the movie
