The seventh annual Fine Arts Fair at Wamego Middle School was a huge success thanks to the presenters, student volunteers, faculty, staff, and administration. The event also received donations from local businesses and individuals to support the hospitality room. Many artists and performers contributed to the event including musicians, dancers, painters, photographers, and more.

Brief History of CA Band Program 8-6-16
The Cary Academy Band program began 20 years ago in 1997 with 10 students in the Upper School Orchestra and 57 students across the middle school band classes. By 1998, 20 students had formed an after school jazz band club. Over the years, the band program grew to include multiple concert and jazz bands, drumline clubs, and yearly themes for performances. In the 2015-2016 school year, there were over 80 students across the various band classes and clubs. The Cary Academy Band has performed at universities, retirement communities, and festivals across North Carolina, the Southeast, and even as far as New York, Atlanta, New Orleans, and Washington D.C. The 20th Annual BC Ukrainian Cultural Festival is being held at the Clarke Foundation Theatre in Mission, British Columbia on May 2, 2015. The festival celebrates Ukrainian culture through dance performances and competitions, musical entertainment, children's activities, and vendor displays. Gladys Andreas, one of the festival founders, is honored for her 20 years of dedication to preserving Ukrainian culture through the festival. Various dance groups from across British Columbia and Washington state will be competing.

Chaim Burstein, a faculty member at Concord Conservatory of Music (CCM), has been teaching kindergarten students basic music skills through an afterschool program. Over the course of the semester, the students have made great progress in their ability to sing melodies, speak rhythms, and identify musical elements. Chaim notes that the students have progressed far beyond what some college music students can do. While the students have gained a solid foundation in music, continued lessons are needed for their skills to grow further. Donations to CCM will help provide further musical opportunities and instruction to these students.

Fall Percussion Ensemble story
The Southeast Missouri State University Percussion Ensemble will perform over 100 instruments, including unconventional items like paper bags. They will have a special performance with the marching band drumline and front ensemble. The concert will feature pieces from various genres including pop, rock, and classical music. Students spent several weeks rehearsing their parts for the October 23rd performance.
EQUUS RECOGNITION
The Keene State College Theatre and Dance Department's production of "Equus" received four national awards from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. A KSC senior who played the troubled teen won for Distinguished Performance by an Actor. A KSC alumnus who portrayed the psychiatrist also won an award. The production earned an award for its ensemble choreography. The overall production won Distinguished Achievement in Production, recognizing the efforts of all involved in the production.
Jammin Kids offers Little Mozarts Classes
Jammin' Kids International Music Academy offers music lessons for people of all ages and abilities. The newsletter provides information about upcoming performances and events at the academy in February, including a musical playing patch, in-house recitals, and Valentine's Day serenades. It also provides administrative reminders about the winter session schedule and welcomes new students and teachers who recently joined the academy.

The Pittsburgh CLO has announced the nominees for the 2011 Gene Kelly Awards, which recognize excellence in high school musical theater. Over 36 judges attended performances by 29 Allegheny County high schools and evaluated them in categories like best scenic design, acting, and musical. Nominees were selected from schools like North Hills, Pine-Richland, and Woodland Hills. The awards ceremony will be held on May 28 at the Benedum Center, where scholarships will also be awarded to student thespians.

There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
