2. INTRODUCTION
# Various colored patterns can be obtained in fabric by
combining colored yarns and weaves.
# The particular design which results depends both on the weave
& on the arrangement of the two colours in the warp and weft.
These patterns are called colour & weave effects.
4. TYPES & ORDER OF COLOURING
Colour & weave efffect are two types:
Simple and Compound colour and weave effect.
Order of colouring are also two types:
i) Simple order of colouring.
(ii) Compound order of colouring.
5. WARPING, WEFTING & CLASSIFICATION
Order of colouring for warp and weft yarn is respectably called
warping and wefting.
Classification of the order of colouring:
1. Simple warping and simple wefting
2. Compound warping and simple wefting
3. Simple warping and compound wefting
4. Compound warping and compound wefting.
7. CONSTRUCTION PRINCIPLE
★ Mark out the repeat size of pattern.
★ Fill up the repeat size by particular weave structure.
★ Indicates order of colouring by shade, it indicates dark yarn.
★ For warp colouring, colour shade is put only warp up position and
for weft, colour shade is put only weft up position.
★ This final pattern is produced by combining the colour and weave
structure.
19. CONCLUSION
When the warp and weft colours cross over each other,
they can produce some very interesting effects. They are
very frequently used in woolen & worsted fabrics for
costumes, sports jackets, ladies coats and other decorative
puroses.
