me. And then the tree noticed the soil and said. «Go
way, soil, I don’t need you. My roots can grow without

he soil left too and the tree became smaller and then
ithered. Only then the tree understood how useful the
ater and the soil were for him.
he fable teaches, that you must not be selfish, self-
entered.
The tree, water and soil
Կար չկար մի ծառ կար, որը չէր սիրում ոչ մեկին։ Մի
անգամ նա ջրին ասում է․
-Ջուր, գնա, ես առանց քեզ էլ կարող եմ գեղեցկանալ և
աճել։
Ջուրը ասում է․
-Լավ, կգնամ , դու էլ գեղեցկացիր ու աճիր։
Ծառը ասում է․
—Արագ գնա։
Ջուրը հեռանում է ծառից, որովհետև ծառը նեղացնում
է ջրին։ Բայց դուք գիտեք, որ ծառը աճում է , երբ նրան
ժամանակին են ջրում։ Այդ ժամանակ ծառը նկատում
է հողին և ասում․
-Հո՛ղ, հեռացիր դու ինձ պետք չես։ Իմ արմատները
առանց քեզ էլ շատ լավ կաճեն։
Հողն էլ է հեռանում, և ծառը փոքրանում է և
թոռոմում։Այն ժամանակ էլ հասկանում է, թե ինչ
օգտակար են ջուրն ու հողը իր համար։

3. he stork caught an old frog, but he was sorry and set it free.
Jump and go away: said the stork.
he old frog was happy and said:

Արագիլը մի ծեր գորտի էր բռնել, բայց խղճաց ու բաց թողեց նրան:
Ցատկի գնա, – ասաց արագիլը:
Գորտը սաստիկ ուրախացավ, ասաց.
Ահա՜, վախեցար ինձնից, այսինքն ես քեզնից ուժեղ եմ: Հա՜, հա՜, հա՜:
Այս ասելով գորտը ուզում էր ցատկեր, որ արագիլից պրծներ, իսկ արագիլը
արագ գորտին կերավ ու թռավ ուրիշ գորտ բռնելու:

4. The fox and the hen
Once upon a time there lived a fox, who didn’t like a hen. One day the fox said to the hen: “I’ll eat you”.
The hen answered: “Eat if you can”.
The fox was walking along the street when he saw the brave hen whom he wanted to eat.
“Let’s fight a duel,» the hen said to the fox.
And they gathered all the animals in the wood.
“Who is stronger, me or you?” asked the fox.
The boastful hen was cackling: “Me, me, me…”
But the fox ate the hen.
Moral of the fable: do not be boastful and do not overestimate your power.
Աղվեսն ու հավը
Կար չկար մի աղվես կար, որը չէր սիրում հավին։ Մի անգամ աղվեսը հավին ասաց․
— Ես քեզ կուտեմ։
Հավը պատասխանեց․
-Թե կարո՞ղ ես, կեր։
Աղվեսը քայլում էր ճանապարով և տեսավ համարձակ հավին, որին ուզում էր ուտել։
-Արի մենամարտենք, ասաց հավը աղվեսին։
Եվ նրանք գնացին, հավաքեցին անտառի բոլոր կենդանիներին։
-Մեզնից ո՞վ է ուժեղ, հարցրեց աղվեսը։
Պարծենկոտ հավը կչկչում էր․
-Ես, ես, ես,․․․
Բայց աղվեսը կերավ հավին։
Առակը սովորեցնում է, որ չի կարելի պարծենկոտ լինել և գերագնահատել սեփական ուժերը։

5. The Cat and the Mouse
Once a cat was walking in the street and saw, that the mouse was walking behind a cat. He caught the mouse, but the
mouse said:
— Don’t eat me. I’ll do what you want.
The cat said:
— Bring me some big cheese.
The mouse was walking and thinking:
— Where can I find any cheese?
And soon the mouse remembered, that his friend’s father was a cheese seller.
— I have to go and ask for him the biggest cheese. Then I’ll take and give it to the cat. The mouse went to the cheese
seller and said:
— Will you give me the biggest cheese? The seller gave the cheese. The mouse took it and gave the cheese to the cat.
And the cat set it free.
The fable teaches that you should always keep your promise.
Կատուն ու մուկը
Մի անգամ կատուն ման էր գալիս փողոցով մեկ էլ տեսավ մուկը ընկել է իր հետևից: Բռնեց և մուկը
ասաց.
-Ինձ մի կեր, ինչ կուզես, կանեմ և կատուն ասաց.
-Ինձ բեր մեծ պանիր: Մուկը գնում է և ասում.
-Հիմա ես որտեղից պանիր գտնեմ և հիշում է, որ իր ընկերոջ հարը պանիր վաճառող է: Ես կգնամ նրա
մոտ և կասեմ ամենամեծ պանիրը տա, որ տանեմ տամ այդ կատվին, որ ինձ հանգիստ թողի: Ես գնացի
պանիր վաճառողի մոտ և ասացի.
-Ինձ կտաք ամենամեծ պանիրը և վաճառողը տվեց: Ես տարա, պանիրը տվեցի այդ կատվին և ինձ բաց
թողեց:
