     The Rhidorroch pinewood is on the west coast, near Ullapool, and stretches along the
     slopes of the tranquil Glen Achall, between Loch Achall and Loch an Daimh. Most of
     the mature pine trees are thinly distributed throughout birchwoods on the north facing
     slopes of the glen, with the largest and densest areas around East Rhidorroch Lodge,
     ‘The Old Lodge’. Scattered trees cling to the scree and boulder slopes of the impressive
     200m rock face at Creag Ghrianach of Q: On what mountain? . The western edge
     of this rock face is called Creagan Ghiuthas, which means crag of the pine. Golden
     eagles regularly hunt over this mountainous landscape and the woods are home to pine
