Mr. GE, a 51-year-old male, presented with a painful, swollen left foot. He reported walking on cobblestones two months prior and noticed foot pain and erythema one month prior. On examination, he had a swollen, discolored left foot with cellulitis on his shin. Bloodwork showed elevated glucose and ketones, indicating undiagnosed type 2 diabetes. He was treated with IV antibiotics and insulin for diabetic ketoacidosis.
